I have to say, I'm kind of impressed with this textbook! I don't teach social studies currently but I had to use it for a project in one of my ESL classes and I was pleased to see that this book was easy-to-use yet it didn't seem to dumb down content too much. I liked the mix of pictures and text and felt that vocabulary was introduced quite well. I liked the organization of the units, too. It feels weird to say this but this book made me kind of excited about the prospect of teaching social studies next year...
