You know what? Fuck Arisa, she's a bitch and doesn't deserve such a wonderful sister like Tsubasa. I cannot believe she wakes up from her coma, and pretends to have amnesia, playing the part of a loving sister, only to go back to her class and make a wish to "the king" to have Tsubasa disappear. And fuck Midori too, absolute asshat that he is. Those two are so psychotic, and awful, they deserve each other.

Arisa akhirnya sadar lho. Eh bukannya terima kasih ama Tsubasa dia malah kurang ngajar. Adek gak tau diri emang. Ditolongin malah ngadi-ngadiiiii~

Midori si kampret muka dua, mending kemampuan lo buat jadi aktor aja dah. Lebih psikopat dari si Kudo. Kalo diliat-liat polosan Kudo njir lah..

Buku ke-9 bikin gue emosi ajeeeeee!!!!

I like this manga, but still some of the plot is a little weak sauce. I like how it ended on this volume. I cannot understand what is going on fully, but I hope it is revealed before it ends. Am enjoying it though!

Arisa wakes up but appears to have amnesia, because of course. Rei is

WTF, Ando? I don't care what Arisa's secret is, it can't possibly be worth

I know I said this in my comments for the previous volume, but Tsubasa is an absolute moron. By this point it should have been crystal clear to her that Rei wasn't the King, leaving Midori the only candidate. And yet she went to Rei's house with Midori as her only backup.

And as far as the pill went, WTF Ando? You had Midori

Arisa finally woke up! Tsubasa rushes to her side and she tries to tell Midori the truth about Arisa. Midori, however, was able to try to meet Tsubasa. Tsubasa becomes confused for her own affection for Midori and the fact that he is her sister's boyfriend. Midori is being very sketchy and seems to know more than Tsubasa does. Due to the fact that Arisa has awaken, she wanted to return to school. In doing so, Tsubasa is allowed to return to her usualy self. However, she is concerned about Arisa because she does not remember anything and she has taken Arisa's place in class in the time that she was absent. Unable to help herself, she goes to Arisa's school to check up on her. However, she finds herself being chased down by a bunch of boys. Midori saves Tsubasa and tries to explain that the King has ordered people to try to take her down because she has been hurting Arisa. Midori seems to be playing coy and is continuing to try to make Tsubasa fall for him. When she leans in closer to kiss, she blacks out and appears in a room full of clocks.

I am confused and eager to know who the King is and why s/he is willing to go as far as to hurt people in order to bring the class together. It's sad that Arisa doesn't remember much and she doesn't seem to want to talk about whatever has happened to led to her falling out of the window. I need answers!

Arisa is a multiple layered story with mystery elements, which are all coming together in these later volumes. It would be pointless to start here - go back to the beginning and proceed in order.

** This review contains no spoilers for Arisa 9 but will have minor ones for previous volumes. **

Natsumi Ando's suspenseful tale of Tsubasa's battle with the mysterious and danger King comes roaring into it's ninth volume after the unexpected end to volume 8. The reader is ahead of Tsubasa as to the King's identity and the foreknowledge of her unknown peril dramatically increases the tension. There's a laser focus now on the main plot and all of it's components. All of the characters are expertly handled and have a lot of depth.

The twists here are really amazing. There are pieces I'd figured out but this series still manages a lot of surprises. What's even more impressive is that they all fit perfectly - everything is fair play with what's come before. Tsubasa's situation gets rough and I have no idea where things will go from here. Certain things seem like they'll be very hard to tie up, but I have no reason to start doubting Ando now.

Still a fantastic series. Heading towards the end now and I can't wait.

Highly recommended.

Series Rating: 3.5Stars (first few volumes are 4 Stars)

I read this series in one sitting, which is quite telling in itself. However I will say now that the story does lag a bit after a few volumes and loses something of the great set up it had at the beginning. That said, the author Natsumi Ando is good at ending chapters/volumes with cliff-hangers. So you get to the end of one book and immediately want to pick up the next one. (Case in point – me.)

The art is excellent and was part of the reason I decided to pick this series up. As much as story is important if you don’t like that images it’s a struggle to continue but for this genre (shojo) Natsumi Ando style fits beautifully.

Tsubasa is likable and determined to find out what happened to her sister. As reader it was easy to be on her side. This series requires suspension of disbelief to some extent but you’ll enjoy Arisa more for it.

Interesting--Ando throws out another plot twist I didn't see coming. She's actually really good at that! Tsubasa's in a tight spot. I'm totally looking forward to the next volume to find out how she gets out of it!

The story is moving along but I feel a bit frustrated after finishing this volume. There was more defeat than anything else, bad turn after bad turn. I hope the next installment will show us some success for our heroes!

Now that Tsubasa knows that Midori's the king, I wonder what'll happen next. Will Arisa learn the error of her ways? Will Manabe come to save her? Will this end in book 10? Stay tuned and find out! :)

The funny thing is it already ended even before it started! >o<
