Beginning her writing career at age 12, she published poetry and essays before releasing her first book, The Assassination of President John F. Kennedy, in 1994. Born in Evanston, Illinois, she earned a bachelor’s degree in English from UCLA, where she met her husband, Raymond Netzley. Patricia balanced a career as a medical editor with her passion for writing, producing acclaimed single-volume encyclopedias on subjects such as women’s travel literature, environmental literature, and movie special effects. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and lifelong animal lover.
