I really liked this sequel to A Walk Through a Window. I enjoy the way the author makes history come alive. What I find sad about this book is that it was written ten years ago and some First Nations communities are still fighting for clean water. How shameful. We need to do better, Canada.

I would love to read more of Darby's adventures. Maybe she could meet up with Gabe this time. This is a wonderful book for any young lovers of history. I found Darby more relatable in this book over the first one.

In my opinion, it was a pretty good book, but to my understanding of it, there were some parts in the book that weren't as interesting, but it's all good!
