didn’t do it for me

This book just didn’t do it for me. I just could not connect with Mia and Brody. I never really felt the chemistry between them either. I wanted to like this book because I do enjoy Megan Wade’s books but I just couldn’t get there.

Safety and Spoilers

No ow/om drama.
H has some serious issues he should have got help for years before. I’m pretty sure he’s a player and only uses women for his own gratification. h hasn’t had a relationship in a while, she isn’t a one night stand kind of woman.
H was a complete jerk to h in the beginning and even though h didn’t take his crap she was helpless when it came to her lust for him.
They have a pretty good time together but the H has major hangs up from a past relationship.
I like that the h wasn’t ashamed to tell anyone she was a stripper. While it wasn’t her dream job it was an a means to help achieve her dreams. She didn’t let others disrespect her about it.
No abuse, no cheating

At first, I thought Brody was just too grumpy, but he really tugged at my heart. I love that Mia had a dream that she was striving for. So excited for the next series.

Mia Thompson (25) meets Broderick "Brody" Harrington (42) at her best friend and ex roommate Presley's wedding. There is instant attraction in both sides, but Brody has been avoiding love for almost 2 decades.

Brody was a whole lot rude in the begining of this book, but I had a soft spot for him, from the previous book so I was open to seeing where it was going.

This is instalove on both side, but both Mia and Brody don't think love is possible for them in the present. How wrong they are.

Mia is strong, independent and at times vunerable she is so open and honest with Brody, at first in a feisty brash way and by the end of the book in a fresh and vunerable way. She is loyal and driven and exactly what Brody needs.

Brody has an unhelpful and I healthy attitude to love due to an event when he was a young man. He learn the world and people weren't to be trusted and then shut his heart to anything more than short term fun. He should have dealt with this years ago, but he didn't, and working on finance where all his mates (until recently) were just as big play boys as him probably didn't help.

I loved the chemistry these two had. These two had major chemistry in the bedroom, but also shared a connection outside of that.

The big scene prior to the end was a bit rushed, but it served it's purpose. These two did not want to be apart so anything would have worked here.

I loved the extended epilogues and now can't wait for the new series centering around Brody's 5 sisters

As mentioned this is part of a series of interconnected standalones, but can be read as a standalone without any trouble, but your enjoyment would be enhanced by reading the rest of the series or at least book 4 - Presley and Carson's book.

This is the last book in the Curves of Wall St series. However, there are books about Brody’s sisters. He does have five of them. ^_^

Brody is in his 40s and after being betrayed by his fiancée in college, he doesn’t do relationships. Until he meets Mia, who is besties with Presley who marries Brody’s mentee Carson. Where Presley was a coat check girl at a strip club, Mia actually strips. He has a hard time dealing with that because he feels strongly for her and doesn’t want to share. Mia is awesome. After losing her scholarship, she continues to strip, but she has dreams that she is working towards. I love how she is a big woman with loads of curves and works as a stripper. Her belief in herself and confidence is an inspiration.

A lot of misconceptions need to be killed off by Brody before he realizes what he truly wants. I’m glad the people that work with Mia are such a family. Plus, Darren and Theo’s wedding is in this book- woooooo reveals! I must’ve squeed at least four times during the wedding alone. I really loved Presley & Carson’s book and to see their wedding as well was great.

There are a few times I’d like to kick Brody in the shin. I’m glad he gets a verbal what for from his friends and one of his sisters. I can’t wait to read her book. I think I gained three pounds just from reading about the baked goods Brody’s sisters made. Lol. Brody truly is a grouch with a heart of gold and Mia is just someone I wish was real and that we’d be buds.

You make me incandescently happy.
Awesome book. Mia is a stripper and not ashamed of it or her curves. Dancing is her passion and the money is worth it. She’s saving to open her own dance studio for all shapes and sizes. Brody is grumpy and closed off to love and relationships. That is all threatened when he meets the maid of honor to his best man at their friend’s wedding. They hit it off well and that’s a problem for Brody and his walls. He can’t stop thinking about Mia and had no idea what she did for a living until she told him. He offers her another option but she vehemently refuses it. He starts going to watch Mia at the club but, then he decides to treat it like any other job and not visit her at her “office”. Everything is going well until she invites him to an “event” one of her coworkers is having. She thinks it would be good to be seen as a couple. He lies and says that he’s going to visit his sisters. Unbeknownst to either of them they have been invited to the same wedding. So, imagine Mia’s surprise when she sees Brody in the crowd. She confronts him about lying to her and obviously being ashamed to be seen with her and walks away. Can Brody finally let his walls crumble and admit that he’s fallen in love with Mia? How does he prove that all he wants is her by his side?.

Three Weddings and No Funeral

Mia Thompson has her work cut out for her. Not only is Broderick "Brody" Harrington nearly two decades her senior, but he's also got baggage that's almost as old as her that should've shriveled up and died already. It's unhealthy to carry things like that around for so long, as he seems to learn the hard way.

The ending prior to the extended epilogues wasn't on par with the rest of the book. It was probably the only over-the-top part of the whole thing. I wasn't a fan of it, but I did like the other 23 chapters a lot.

I like that they forced each other outside of their comfort zones, even if in baby steps. And I loved that Mia was comfortable with her body and her profession.

The spark she ignites under my skin is starting to become too much to bear, and as I stare into the deepest blue eyes I've ever seen, bright with mirth and framed by long, dark lashes, I feel like I’m falling. And not in a good way.
-- Broderick "Brody" Harrington

There were three weddings throughout, including Theo and Darren who have been a staple throughout the series. 💙😭💙 It was wonderful to see them get their HEA along with two other couples. Reading the prior books isn't a necessity, but you'll appreciate that part more with their history.

Part of The Curves of Wall St. series each can be read as a standalone with a sexy and the women that shakes up his world. Brody sexy as all get out billionaire with so many issues it is hard to tell where one ends, or one starts especially when it comes to relationships, grumpy to all that he meets, rude to most, very few ever see his smile because he rarely uses it, but when he meets the one woman who makes the mask, he wears slips and his control slip well it leaves him questioning so much yet wanting more. Mia sweet curvy dancer values her independence doesn’t like being controlled never mixes business with pleasure as it never ends well has been her experience but she is open, she is honest with the grumpy sexy man she met at the wedding instead of letting his rudeness bother her and when she is with him she looks past it forcing him to acknowledge the craziness he sometimes allow to come out of his mouth or his behavior towards her or others along the way he realizes the experience he had as a young man was hurtful yes but it was by no means anything to judge the rest of his life by but has he pushed her to far, will he be man enough to admit he was wrong, can the both learn from one another, will they realize the magnetic pull between them only grows stronger the more they fight it, and can they have happiness somewhere along the way?

Wall St. Grouch is the last book in the Curves of Wall St. series It is a short and steamy, instalove, OTT, age-gap, opposites-attract, grumpy-sunshine, curvy girl gets her billionaire romance. Mia is a 25 year old curvy dancer and stripper. Brody is a 42 year old grumpy, hunky venture capitalist and billionaire. When Mia and Brody meet at a friend's wedding, the attraction is instant. But Brody has been hurt and is not open to a relationship. Over the course of the next month, he can't stop thinking about her and goes to watch her dance every night. Mia feels he's ashamed of what she does. Will these two give in and give love a chance? Can Brody let his walls down? This couple had insanely hot chemistry. When they finally get together, it is STEAMY!! I really liked this couple. The story was a little slow at times for me, but overall, I really enjoyed it. After a bit of drama, we also get a great HEA.

Wall St series book 5

Brody believes that love is an illusion, even with his friends all falling and getting married. He's a jaded 42 year old rich man that people avoid because he's a grouch. His body reacts to Mia, though. Mia is 24 and works as a stripper. He didn't know her occupation but said hurtful things after finding out. The attraction is there, the connection there, but he's a jaded ahole that is fighting hard against it. He keeps showing up where she dances. Will he give in, or will she tell him to go away to protect herself? What will she do when she finds out he lied to her?

I have enjoyed every Megan Wade book I've read, and this was no exception. I want to read Lily's book if it's a RH! There was 1 confusing part. In the beginning, it says she is 24, then she's 25. But no mention of her birthday? Did I miss that? That grand gesture! Wow!

Another venture capital titan meets his match. This is the latest in the ‘Wall Street’ series – all the books are stand-alone stories. This one features Pipers’s (from book 4: ‘Wall St. Tease’) friend, Mia – a stripper from the club where Piper worked as the coat check girl. I loved that grumpy Brody, a colleague of Piper’s husband, is unwillingly captivated by Mia right from the start from their initial encounter at Piper & Carson’s wedding. I really enjoyed the fact that Brody fights his attraction to Mia all the way (mainly due to a broken engagement in his past); whilst their age gap doesn’t bother either of them, or limit their steamy encounters when they give into the sizzling chemistry between them – Brody's attitude to commitment, and Mia’s job threatens to derail any HEA they might have had. I enjoyed the way this story develops especially as it is Brody who falls hard, first. A good romantic read in this addictive series.

I think that Mia is amazing! She is a BBW stripper who is smart and confident in who she is. Brody is a grouch Fromm Wall St. who is afraid to let anyone in. They met at their best friends’ wedding and were kind of thrown together. Brody made little to no attempt to get to know Mia even though he fell under her spell. Mia knows her self worth and it shows. Brody tries so hard to stay away from Mia but it is like he is addicted to her - going to her club every night to watch her perform. Mia lays it on the line for Brody and tells him to make a decision. He decides to try dating Mia. He has been hurt before though.
I loved getting to know these characters. Mia was so strong yet vulnerable while Brody eluded confidence but was just scared of loving someone again. I enjoyed their times together and their spicy moments together.

This is book 5 of the curves of Wall Street series and let me tell you this book will definitely have you hooked from the beginning until the end. Mia and Brody are both in a wedding that their best friends are getting married. Brody is a grumpy closed off man whose been hurt before and now closed off to relationships and love, but one kiss with Mia could destroy it all except her profession holds him back even more. Mia works at a strip club as a dancer and loves her job but when feelings for Brody start will interfere with her life and job? I absolutely loved Mia as the strong woman who doesn't play games and protects herself at all cost . Mia brings her light to Brody darkness . This book is absolutely fantastic and compelling and captivating and heartbreaking and finding happiness again. I'm absolutely hooked on this author now.

This is the 5th book in The Curves of Wall St series featuring the steamy grumpy billionaire rom-com between Brody and Mia. Brody and Mia meet when their best friends are getting married and he's the best man with a jaded outlook on relationships, love and romance because of his broken heart. Mia is the maid of honor and when they met to say that sparks flew is an understatement. Brody is a Wall St venture capitalist and he's very successful he's a billionaire and Mia is a stripper who's not ashamed of what she does she's a dance school dropout who still has dreams. Brody fights his attraction to Mia hard and when her job becomes obvious jealousy and an incredibly ignorant reaction ruin their beginnings. I don't want to say anymore and ruin it for anyone else with spoilers. You really need to read this steamy grumpy billionaire rom-com to see what happens. I would recommend reading this book.

I loved Brody and Mia's love story. It's an opposites attract, (somewhat) enemies to lovers, age gap, romance that kept me entertained from beginning to end. I absolutely loved Mia. Although she's been through a lot, she doesn't let it stop her dreams and goals. She considers herself on the detour, but the end result is going to be the same. She knows her self-worth and refuses to settle for less, even from billionaire Brody. Her attitude is take it or leave it. I love confident heroines like this. Brody is definitely a grouch, but I understand his reasons. This ex-fiancé really broke him, and that betrayal left him bitter towards love. So he poured himself into his career. What he wasn't prepared for was the freight train called Mia. This is such a sweet story about love, heartbreak, mistakes, forgiveness, off the charts chemistry, family, friendship, and so much more. Such a great read!!

Great story.
Really liked Mia & Brody's story it was sweet, sassy, steamy, romantic & I didn't want to put it down. They both had broken pasts but Brody had been hurt so much that he wasn't willing to give himself a second chance at a happy ever after but there was something about Mia who was breaking through that hard shell. Mia was a strong determined young woman who had many set back but was making her way to the top again & dancing at the strip club gave her the chance to do what she loved the most..dance, showing those that tried to dash her hopes & dreams she could do it & saving the money to follow her dream of opening her own dance school. She tried to not get attached & grow feelings for Brody but it was hard when he seemed to push her away making her think he was ashamed of her so much that he was about to lose the best thing that ever happened to him.

Brody and Mia were so fantastic! I loved grouchy Brody and hold nothing back Mia. Brody doesn’t mean to be grouchy, he was broken by an ex and focused on making money becoming jaded. Finding Mia was really the best thing that could have happened to him. He just needed to get out of his own way! No OW drama which is always a plus. Only a man who hurts others unintentionally in order to protect himself. Also his behavior isn’t so bad that the reader can’t forgive him. Plus he does a beautiful job groveling. Tons of heat in this book as there always is with Megan Wade. Beautiful buildup with tension and refusal to accept and act on feelings. The descriptions of how just touching the other person’s hand were so well written! Plus these characters absolutely get the happy ending that they deserve. LOVED this!

Wall St. Grouch, the fifth novel in Megan Wade's phenomenally entertaining (and steamy) The Curves of Wall St. series, is a page-turning grumpy billionaire hero/sunshine heroine age-gap romance. Brody and Mia's chemistry leaps from the pages from their meet-cute to The End. The billionaire venture capitalist is cynical about love, having guarded his heart since a betrayal in her early twenty's. But when curvy, sassy stripper Mia walks into his life, his walls are at risk of crumbling. Can the Wall St grouch let himself open up to the best thing that's ever happened to him? Steamy, spicy and so emotionally authentic, Megan Wade's newest masterpiece is an absolute must-read.

Spectacular!

Oh my goodness!! You just want to grab the hero and heroine and just squeeze them to pieces!! What a spectacular read! Brody is a Wall Street venture capitalist billionaire with a broken heart and jaded outlook on relationships, romance, and love. Mia is the maid of honor to his best man role when their best friends get married. To say sparks flew was for sure. Mia is a dance school dropout, who now is a dancer at a club. She’s got savings, dreams, and a drive to strive that Brody finds endearing, and captivating. This is a huge wondetful, great, read.

This book by Megan Wade was really rodent from the others I have read by her. I really liked that this book was not over the top insta love but some what slow burn. I loved what a strong lead character Mia was and how she was not ashamed of her job. I loved that she didn't quit just because Brody was jealous. Even though I understood why Brody acted the way he did I was so frustrated that he was at some points unwilling to change. With that being said I thought he was a very lovable and relatable character.

Barely a few chapters in but not a fan of this story I don't like the creepy way that Brody is written, so the author trying to portray Mia as not interested in his money is just not believable, because this guy has been throwing up red flags left and right, and she is trying really hard to get him to bite. "I dont care about your age or your money" then when he asks her to work in something else she says they won't pay as well, if she was really that drawn to him she would jump at some time with him even if he does walk away but noo she wants commitment with a woman he just met.🤑Love this author but not this book.

I received a copy from Booksprout; this is my honest review
Seems like the author is wrapping up everyone from the series in one go; it's confirmed at the end that this is the last book of the series and it's fun seeing everyone again all together. I didn't quite get the "love" part when Brody was obsessed with Mia at every turn. Not sure about her either. Nothing showed us they were in love. The end bothered me a lot since Mia had to take time to "process" but never gave Brody the chance to explain. Not my favorite. I had to laugh at "put my pants on and button them at my waist" - Is there any other way?

I loved Wall St. Grouch: A billionaire/BBW romance Book 5 of The Curves of Wall St. Brody is the definition of grouch. Burned once he shuts himself off. Meeting Mia stirs things but can he let himself love again. Only when faced with the pain of hurting Mia dies he realize his selfish he’s been. Can he convince her to give him a second chance? Laughter, tears and a lot of steamy scenes. Men can be dumb but Brody wants to make it right. I loved the storyline and the characters. She’s the sun to light up his darkness. I would definitely recommend this book and the series.

Billionaire Brody and dancer Mia meet when both are in their friends wedding. Both of their relationship histories have soured them badly. There is major chemistry between them but will they be able to let go of that history. Great characters will real issues haunting them. The storyline flows well with drama, trust issues, twists, surprises, entertaining situations and sassy banter. Loved the they bounced back after he found out she was an exotic dancer, but also her dreams are tangible and she is working hard to get there, which he really likes. The ending was strong. Well done.

This one really tugged at the heartstrings. Mia has been let down many times in the past and Brody had been completely destroyed emotionally by his ex. But the chemistry between was undeniable so with a few false starts they begin an relationship. Only with hearts so guarded things don’t go smoothly and Brody has to make a big decision and grovel like a pro.
Slow burn but explosively steamy when they start, sweet, angsty, wonderful strong yet vulnerable characters, some familiar cameos and a beautiful HEA.

Mia and Brody's story is quite interesting. Brody is such a grouch that you need to take some time to get used to him. Mia is an absolute sweetheart. I loved her. Their story is an addicting one from the first few chapters. I've been following this series ever since I found Wade's Tiktok. The stories in this series do not disappoint. They are quirky and steamy at the same time and they have wonderful characters.

Wall St. Grouch was a wonderful story of finding love and overcoming the fears of past hurt to forge ahead with the person who you know completes you.
Brody and Mia’s path to happiness may have been marred by Brody’s emotional walls but as they slowly come down this expertly written and emotionally engaging read brings this series of grumpy billionaires to a close with humor, passion and the undeniable strength of true love.
Loved the story!.

This was a great finale for the series and I loved following broken Brody and vivacious Mia along to their HEA. I have to say I worried about them getting there with how hard he fought his feelings. His baggage was well overdue to be done with and, thankfully, Mia was able to pull him through ;) I simply loved Mia. She was on a mission for her life and wouldn't be swayed from it - she knew her worth and wouldn't let others step on it. Fab! I'm really looking forward to what's next by this author :D
