Luke Skywalker describes how he joined the Rebel Alliance and helped overthrow the Galactic Empire.

This beginning reader gives an abbreviated retelling of the plot of the original Star Wars trilogy from Luke Skywalker's point of view.

Another Star Wars book that I tuned out a bit while reading. Although for this one, I have to admit it wasn't as choppy as the last one. My 5 yr old loved it, which is why it gets a good rating, and it's a solid level 2 reading book, so I'm happy. But I'm just not a huge fan of Star Wars like my son. I did stop occasionally and reminisce about Hans Solo and Yoda, which prompted him to start detailing his top 101 characters and why he liked them. (Okay, there were only 3 top characters, but it felt like 101.) Overall, a great book.

I know its a level 2, but I still found it a bit long. The levels really vary depending on publisher. I also wasn't a huge fan of the present tense throughout when it covered such a long story.

One of the first books we read together on Star Wars and I had to read it to him every night for like 2 weeks straight.
