Matt Harris's unique harmonic vocabulary is instantly recognizable in this understated even-eighth note composition. Following an ethereal rhythm section opening, the trombones and tenor saxes have the first statement of the tune. The full ensemble joins adding silky layers of polyphony. After a floating sixteen bar tenor solo (which only requires one scale), Matt introduces new harmonic and melodic ideas that really make this piece sparkle.
