Lily MacInnis has the luck of the Irish – against her. All her life, she never could catch a break. But now, something’s about to catch her, and dump her suitcase of secrets on the floor. Some secrets, even Lily hadn’t known. Like her father’s an angel, and her mother escaped from Hell. Literally. And now Hades and Persephone – her grandparents – want her to return to the Underworld. Lily is The Destined One, promised to Zeveriah, Archduke of Section Six, and Hades’ up and coming CFO.
Not in Lily’s plans – she’s fallen for Bodie, the Ruling Angel of the Sixth Heaven.
Bodie can’t let Lily fulfill that destiny. But will Bodie risk losing everything to keep his promise to ensure Lily stays safe?
Part goddess, part angel, part demon, can Lily summon the powers she never knew she had to free herself and make her own destiny?

I am so in love with this series. I love the characters and the way the various other entities interact with them. They are all brought into the modern world and to life with such amazing personalities and motivations. Lily is a dancer - yes the exotic type that uses a pole. But she doesn't do it just because it's a good way to make money. The music calls to her and if she doesn't dance she will probably go crazy. Her life changes on her 21st birthday when some very interesting men enter her life.

Brodie and Zev are about as different as they could possible be. It's to be expected when one is an angel and the other a demon. But they both want Lily. She is a very special person with some tough decisions to make. As her life is turned upside down, she is thrown into a spiral of confusion that was incredibly well written. She knows what she wants to decide, she just needs to find the courage to do so - and stay out of all the traps set to keep her where she doesn't want to be.

There were lots of surprises in this book as her lineage is slowly revealed. I loved exploring all the skeletons in the closet of Hades' and Persephone's family. There are quite a few of them, and we all love a good bit of juicy gossip. The end was a fantastic adventure with just enough action to get my heart racing paired with some wonderful moments of true love.

The characters in the series are so real, I almost expect to run into them on the street some day. It just seems natural that they are a part of the "real world" and we just don't know it yet.

Lily is a woman that doesn't know anything about her birth parents because she was adopted. The only thing she know is that she can see dark shadow people and doesn't understand why. Imagine her surprise when she finds out that Hades is her grandfather and that's not all the blood that she has in her. She is meant to fulfill a prophecy and boy is she not going to like what she finds out.

This book has gods, goddess, and angels in it. It's a story about good versus evil and which side is going to win. The suspense in this book was extreme. I was just wanting to find out what all was going on and help Lily out. I thought I had one messed up family but Lily's has me beat. If you don't stay right with the book it could get a little confusing.

I will have to go and read the first book of the series just to see what I missed and what it was about. I just never knew what was going to happen next in this book. I was wanting Lily to be with Brodie and not just because he was an angle but because I didn't think that Hades needed to win and I really didn't like Zeveriah. Anything to keep her out of his clutches.

I just know that there has to be another book after this one and I will have to go find it. The author now has me hooked on this series and I just can't stop with just the one book.

So if you love to read books with mythical people and have good versus evil then this is the book for you.

Yes, I am a fan of Cate Masters and her latest book Dancing with the Devil is why. It is a fun romp through fantasy, mythology, and romance. A beautiful Lily MacInnis is a dancer and one night she meets Zeveriah, the CFO of Section Six and up-and-coming right hand man to the Devil himself, but she also meets Bodie, the Ruling Angel of the Sixth Heaven. Something about both of them beguile her in ways she’s not used to being beguiled, even though she makes her living as an exotic dancer.
Lily is in for the experience of a lifetime, traveling between this world and the underworld she tries to find her way to heaven and may have just succeeded when she and Bodie meet. If they hook up will it mean heaven or hell for both of them? And just what will Zeveriah have to say about all that?
It is a wonderful love story, and with a new twist, it is delicious. Ms. Masters offers a great story with clever prose, and just enough eroticism to please but not overpower. Yes, I recommend Dancing with the Devil by Cate Masters. It is heavenly, and delightfully devilish!

Cate Masters sure knows how to weave a myth to life. Heaven and hell left me grinning more than once at the clever setting. The details based on Greek myths will please any history buff. The powerful romance will satisfy any one who loves a great love story. Suspense readers have to enjoy the spin on a Harley, as well as flaming hot rides beneath a hideous yet curiously likeable demon. And the Devil! Well, you'll just have to read to learn how interesting that dude is. On my read-again-asap pile.
