Mixing and mastering, the two final steps in the complex process of sound engineering, require both artistic finesse and technical facility. Almost every chapter contains a rant about brickwall limiting which becomes (ironically) quite fatiguing by the end.

This may be a bit old as of 2022, so some of the technology referenced is out-of-date, but a general and specific guide to the concepts and execution of mixing, mastering, and even arranging, this book is amazing. It's clearly written and logically organized, and the author has a good sense of humor (always a plus).

I recommend it to anyone looking for a good, all-inclusive primer on mixing and mastering.
