THE DARKEST HOUR

Despite Misaka's tireless efforts and her explosive confrontation with ITEM at Academy City's Pathology Analysis Laboratory, progress on the "Sisters" cloning project hasn't missed a beat. Something big is behind the Sisters, and the deeper Misaka digs, the less she understands.

Out of options, Misaka finally resorts to a deadly gambit against the project's crowing achievement: the Accelerator himself. In her darkest moment, an unlikely hero emerges who may turn out to be Misaka's only salvation.

I think this is fewer stars for me mainly because it took longer for me to read. It also seemed a little more disorganized and was harder to follow the story.
I do want to continue reading the series to see where is it going, but I hope this story arc ends soon. It would be nice to see something else happening.

Vol. 6 sets up a moral dilemma for Misaka, one dies to save many. It reminds me of the absurd moral puzzles I saw in school. Who to kill so a lifeboat will not be overloaded; who to kill to avoid an accident. Touma gives the right answer: everyone is saved. I love this story.

Interesting plot points and it brought some characters from the original series back into it.
But it still seemed lacking. Also, the art didn't seem as good as previously either.

After the battle heavy last volume, it slows down a bit, getting back to some light diversions with Toma, before escalating into another battle with Accelerator.

I thought I understood more in this crazy universe but in the middle of this volume I didn't understand the twist...

It would be so surreal to see yourself die over and over again.

Grah. Right now I'm hating Kazuma Kamachi. Grah. Why the h*%ll did Accelerator want to be stronger? he's already amost to the top; why would he want more? I'm still stuck on that subject. Grrrr... But that bit at the end where Touma battles Accelerator and almost wins... I expected Touma to be the "unlikely hero," but not the way he would fight. Oh, and the turbines. How did the sisters get them going so fast? Eh, I don't know. But I need to get number seven!!!

It brings good movement to the story and a twist or two that I enjoyed. I see the next two are coming out soon. I wonder if they will bring an end to this ark.

La historia comienza a volverse más profunda. Mientras unos utilizan su poder para creerse dioses y disponer de las vidas "creadas" otros luchan para salvarlas. Cada vez se pone mejor.
