Dying Days 2 is the second book of the Dying Days zombie apocalypse series by Armand Rosamilia. His protagonist is Darlene Bobitch, the apocalypse's version of Lara Croft with a Desert Eagle gifted to her by her Dad. It should be noted that as a Book 2, the short novel builds on the main theme and plot of the first book, that of survival, and on the satellite stories initiated previously.

If you read the first book, you know that there is an antagonist that Bobitch has vowed to kill. Readers of this genre should be familiar with the concept that people are worst monsters than the actual zombies. As in most zombie narratives, a group of survivors band together to attempt to help each other navigate the vicissitudes of human interaction and societal social dynamics. The bigger threat is always from other human beings.

Rosamilia is really good at communicating the horror aspects of the story: blood, gore, ironic death, and violence. Trigger Warnings for rape, and profanity.

Armand Rosamilia ramps up his signature zombie series in DYING DAYS 2. It's everything you've come to expect from protagonist Darlene Bobitch with amped up action.
The cast of characters expands a bit this go around. You know what that means, a lot of who will stay and who will carry on. The constant threat of death and a 'no one is safe' undertone that is essential to any zombie story. Rosamilia does not disappoint with memorable, well developed characters that you can identify with on some level.
Let's not forget the zombies. Though they always play second fiddle in DYING DAYS, they continue to develop within the story line. They are not your run of the mill Romero zombies.
If you got on for DYING DAYS, get right back on the ride for part 2. If you haven't got on then go back to part 1 and join Team Rosamilia. Armand Rosamilia writes badass zombie horror at a price everyone can devour!

Armand has done it again, and created realistic and likeable characters and dropped them into a messed up post-apocalyptic world, where there are more things to fear than just the dead. Though you definitely should fear them...seriously! It's nice to see how Darlene is changing and growing, and that she's surviving...so far.

Darlene and her fellow survivors found out the hard way that the dead are starting to learn which does not bode well. Darlene sees an old enemy in the form of the waste of skin survivor Doug Conrad and his militia, who basically rob, murder, rape and leave other survivors to fight off hordes to survive . She wants him dead and after an attack on St. Augustine so do others. Diving into the third book of this great series and again anyone who loves the zombie/horror genre needs to read this series.

I am now hooked on this series!

Armand Rosmilia has a terrific writing style. His characters are real and the world he has developed is outstanding. When he describes the smells of the zompoc the reader can actually smell it. I have been in the area he is writing about, so I can even visualize the area.
I hope he keeps this up.

Another fast, fun ride.

Fast and fun like the first book but with an added twist thrown in. Again, my only complaint would be the length of the book. It is too short. So, onto book 3.

Recommended.

Darlene has found a safe place but there are limited supplies. This book is focussed on the struggle to survive but there is hope with St Augustine that is flourishing and has supplies to exchange. Great instalment. I'm looking forward to see what happens next.

I know these are separate books, but they really read like one larger book. Really enjoying the continuing adventures and can't wait to see how things develop.

Armand Rosamilia
After reading and enjoying Dying Days, I was looking forward to book 2, Armand Rosamilia did not disappoint! Nice to have a tough gal as a heroine instead of the usual male military stereotypes. Without giving too much away the body count rises throughout the book, Darlene has some old scores to settle and a list of people for revenge on besides the zombies to worry about - fast paced action

What a great follow up to a very good predecessor. I can say I definitely enjoyed this book more than the first, and it's nice detour from my usual fare made up of long-winded,complex narratives and dynamic sub-plots. This book keeps the story simple and the action fast and is a very quick yet highly enjoyable read. I can't wait for the next book!

A Definite Page Turner

Read in one sitting. Couldn't stop once I started. No spoilers whatsoever but action from the get go and completely believable characters although sometimes laughable. Couldn't wait to turn each page. Now I have to buy book one and the followers. Great job!!
