Omg Omg This book was awesome from start to finish. Nothing but very short stories that certainly grab your attention. My daughter, who will ONLY read Nicholas Sparks stories even read the first one after much pushing by me. She thought it was great. That was my favorite. Arty's Army. Toy Story on the darker side. Once, should remind you not to give too much of yourself, or you will have nothing left. Dirty Mary, she's freaking scary. The Fisherman was definitely a twist on the usual sea/human story. Even the little bits that were 2 pages, made me smile. (And that dog's smile? creepy creepy stuff!) Kaylan used humor and fear in this book. I sincerely hope I get to come across some more of her work one day. To me, this ranks up there with the best. I love a good horror story, but I feel like most flop out at the end: someone wakes up it was all a dream. Or you are just left to think of your own, well this could happen endings. Each of these had solid finishes. The only downside I could see here, is how short the book is. And that is only because I really wanted more! I might have been a little ticked off if I'd paid anything more than a dollar or two and it was this short. I think I had it all read right under an hour.
