This book distills Panikkar's lifetime of connecting the worlds of religion, philosophy, science, and revelation as together they shed light on the mystery of cosmic life.
Raimon Panikkar was a proponent of inter-religious dialogue. He continued to work as a Roman Catholic priest and a scholar specialized in comparative religion.
There isn't quite a word to express the depth and density of material here. It is a masterpiece. It is the type of book that will give you one paragraph that will wet your appetite for more but will leave you thinking of the one paragraph for a week.I read it because it was recommended to me by a priest. I was interested in the trinity. It is not a one religion, one perspective read. It has to do with the whole. With being. With expansion. There is no faith hang up here, just incredible insight into cross cultural thinking, mythos and understanding. This is by far the most intense material I have read with a mixture of philosophy, theology, science, religion and psychology. It is inseparable. Mysticism and reality in a blender. An excellent vision for the future is how it closes. The cosmotheandric rhythm of being. Well worth the time, effort and cost of the book to read it. Get a note pad and keep things for later. Definitely a re-reader.
