Good book with lots and lots of great recording advice and tips. It does get repetitive, but that's perfectly okay because this is the kind of book most would not read cover to cover, instead flipping to a chapter covering what he/she needs help with at the moment.

I must note that the author did use a device so ceaselessly that it quite irritating. Nearly every bullet point subheading - and I mean nearly every single one - employs a pun on the mini topic. Scanning just a few pages at random: "Hz rentals," "Take the tube," "Who wants punch?" "Flaw hide," "Dim some," "Paging Doctor Bon Jovi," "Slow pitch," "Bouncing checks," and on and on.

Still, an excellent book that I will keep at hand and no doubt use in the future.

The book is informative and could prove useful to sound engineers who are interested in improving their skills, but it isn't the best place to start for a rank beginner.
