I've read other really great books (please read "between the Italian's sheets") by Natalie
Anderson, hence, on a sliding scale, this would be at the very bottom.

Ellie Summers is a woman who upholds all professionalism but when her co-worker continuously flirts with her she decides a no strings rendezvous is just what she needs. With a little liquid courage she finds herself in bed and surprised with how talented in bed he is, until the morning when she realizes she snuck into the wrong room and slept with a stranger.

Ruben Theroux isn't sure what is going on when Ellie shows up in his bed, he doesn't know her from Adam but isn't one to regret decisions. One night though with Ellie is not enough, he is not a man who does commitment so he devises a way to see her again and convince her to have a repeat event. Ellie though pushes back, but Ruben has not given up on having Ellie he just didn't plan on losing his heart along the way.

This was fun. I liked the couple together, they circle around one another for a bit though. If you are looking for something light and fun this is one to read.

Waking Up In The Wrong Bed was a contemporary romance with the twist of sex in the beginning, and then takes a good amount of the book of denial, snarky comments and seduction before it's given ago again. But I loved the concept! Ellie's oopsie of seducing the wrong man in dark hotel room instead of her flirty co-worker turns into a great story of sexual tension, few chosen words, lust and seduction!

Ellie's recent turn to confident woman is fun to read, she's determined not to repeat past weaknesses and live her life to the fullest, including a champagne induced chateau seduction ( of the wrong guy type ), new job and not falling for hot guys with short term plans ( the aforementioned wrong guy ). Ellie is an entertaining heroine with serious denial issue, bad case of hots for a wrong kind of Frenchman and her work cut out for her when the Frenchman decides to seduce her at any cost.

Ruben of course was hot from the beginning, fit, muscled, determined with one sexy grin - and in male perspective if you woke up with a hot woman in your hotel room seducing you in the middle of the night to some action you wouldn't say no - and neither did he. The thing is he wasn't exactly likable as his focus was only on bedding Ellie, being dead set against any relationship that would hinder his business, which was any relationship. Of course you warm up to him when his thoughts begin to undermined his words.

If you are looking for a seductive, will-they-won't-they kinda contemporary romance then Waking Up In The Wrong Bed is for you!

Soo I really liked the H/h in this book. They were just two people with difficult childhoods that lead them to mistrust and shun commitment as adults.

Ruben for all his faults is a great guy. Granted his smiles and easy going personality hides a lot of his fears, but he is still warm and approachable and absolutely adorable.

Ellie is a sweetheart. A self proclaimed "people pleaser" she has spent her life trying to change to fit into other people's life so she could be accepted. That has left her hurt more times than she would admit. Meeting Ruben becomes a serious turning point for her and gives her the strength to be herself.

Their banter made me chuckle and Ellie's sassy tartness was a wonderful part of the story. A good read overall.

Walking Up In the Wrong bed is fun, flirty, sensual, and wickedly HOT!!!

Ruben Theroux is a sexy incorrigible flirt and Ellie is one lucky girl to be on the receiving end of all that sexy hotness…just saying!

Natalie Anderson has outdone herself, I totally digg this book! There’s one scene in this book in front of the window at the cabin.... I’m not gonna give it away, suffice to say it’s stick your head in the freezer HOT!!!

Walking Up In the Wrong bed is a fact paced modern romance, with great characters and witty dialogue…irresistible delicious!!! highly recommended!

Loved this one so much. Clearly, I need to read more Presents Extras. Great heroine with a career that she loves and doesn't give up (and a tour guide of movie locations, to boot) and a hero that is rich and clearly discusses and shows the hard work he's done to get there. The author actually manages to include a ton of sexual tension and courtship, so you never feel like they are rushing into things. Not to mention there is major lack of babies or giving up of strengths for the couple to be shown as lasting. This book is just made of win.

This book started off with a bang and then went downhill from there. It's difficult to start a book out a couple having sex and then developing a relationship later. I was also expecting the high tempo to carry on through out the book.

The characters were rather young, but well written, and the locations were beautiful, but the story itself needed to be better shored up. The ending was enjoyable, but it still lacked the power of the beginning.

Silly, predictable and honestly, a bit annoying. Ellie kept getting turned on by the merest stare or touch, which was, for me, just over the top and unrealistic. She also kept insisting on remaining friends then started putting rules for sleeping with Rubin. I honestly don't know how he fell in love with such an annoying character.

However, what annoyed me more than anything is the author's insistence on using the word hedonism during all the sex scenes, like she googled the term, liked it and stuck to it like glue.

The only thing I actually liked in this story is when in the hut, Ellie kept saying Robin's name in every sentence she said. That was funny.

So, in conclusion, bad writing, a mediocre plot and an annoying main character.

'Ruben is all that and a bag of chips.' A charismatic playboy who get knocked over by the right girl, and plenty of alpha vibes.

Natalie Anderson is sure to charm and enchant her readers with her sexy, sassy and simply irresistible romance for Harlequin Presents Extra: Waking Up In the Wrong Bed!

Film location scout Ellie Summers has got seduction on her mind! Having spent the last couple of months flirting with a colleague who doesn’t seem to realize that she fancies him rotten, Ellie decides to take charge and seduce him herself! Wearing her most flirtatious smile and some sexy lingerie, Ellie creeps into her crush’s hotel room and puts her plan for seduction into action. Thrilled by her own boldness, Ellie cannot help but feel smug by her transformation from film buff to sex kitten. But in the cold light of the day, her delight turns to mortified shock when she realizes that she’s spent the night having the best sex of her life with a total stranger! Ellie just wants to skulk back to her room, hide under her duvet and forget that last night had ever happened. However, drop dead gorgeous businessman Ruben Theroux is not about to let the woman who had rocked his world get away that easily…

Nobody had been more stunned than Ruben when he had been woken up in the dead of a night by a gorgeous woman with tempting lips and a gorgeous curvaceous body! Having spent a night of blissful seduction with Ellie, Ruben is keen to repeat the experience, but she is not convinced. Ellie just wants to draw a line under last night and forget that she had ever been so stupid to seduce a man she didn’t even know. But Ruben is determined to remedy that. He wants to get to know Ellie –both in and out of the bedroom – and he’s not about to let her resolve to put their night of passion behind her get in the way of his plan to have her in his bed again!

When fate propels the two of them together again, Ellie vows to stay strong and not to let her head be turned by Ruben’s rugged good looks, delectable body and enviable charm. But resisting the gorgeous businessman proves easier said than done! Ellie finds herself unable – and unwilling – to keep her hands off Ruben. No strings fun soon gives way to something deeper, but are Ruben and Ellie prepared to run the risk of putting their hearts on the line? Or will they lose the best thing that’s ever happened to them because they are scared of letting anyone breach the walls that they have built around themselves?

Waking Up in the Wrong Bed is a red-hot contemporary romance that sparkles with cheeky banter, hilarious one-liners, sizzling chemistry and pulse-racing emotional intensity. I absolutely adored feisty Ellie and gorgeous Ruben and readers looking for fresh, flirty and feel-good contemporary romance are sure to be completely bowled over by their steamy, poignant and thoroughly enjoyable romantic tale!

Wickedly delicious, highly moving and wholly compelling, with Waking Up In the Wrong Bed, USA Today best-selling author Natalie Anderson continues to prove that she’s one of the hottest writers of contemporary romance writing today!

This was a cute story with the premise of mistakeningly entering a room thinking you'd be spending the night with one person and finding out it was someone else.

Ellie, out scouting a location for a movie shoot, decides to give into temptation and spend the night with a co-worker who has been shamelessly flirting with her. She enters a room she thinks is her co-worker and has the most spectacular night of her life. Unfortunately, when daylight comes so does the realization that she took advantage of a complete stranger the night before.

Ruben is a wealthy real estate magnet who doesn't have a permanent home and generally doesn't have time for anything social. So when he's awakened during the night to the best sexual experience he's ever had, he knows he wants to learn a little bit more about the woman who snuck into his room.

While Ruben wants to revisit the events of that night with Ellie, she wants to run the opposite direction and pretend it never happened. When Ellie discovers Ruben at her new job, she tries to run the opposite direction, but she learns that Ruben doesn't give up easily when he wants something. As he pushes for them to continue where they left off at his chateau, Ellie asks for them to build a friendship.

Ruben and Ellie are two people who tend to keep to themselves and not let anyone close. But with each other, they both find they can see past the others emotional barriers as well as relaxing enough to be themselves. Neither of them are good at relationships and having to trust that someone will do what they say they will. Up to the very end, you wonder if they can get out of their own way to see how good they are together. But it takes a huge misunderstanding for both of them to realize just how much they can't live without the other.

Cute and quick about taking a chance and chasing after what you really want.

Waking up in the Wrong Bed is a hot, romantic, modern Natalie Anderson classic! The author is by far a favourite of mine as she brings an emotional connection from her character to the reader and gives anyone the reading experience they deserve to get!

I couldn't get enough of it! The situation of the novel pulls the readers in wanting to discover more.

Ellie Summers takes the bull by the horns one night thinking (or rather not thinking) she's sneaking into her colleagues hotel room to seduce him. What could possibly go wrong.... eh? Her colleague has been flirting with her for weeks so enough is enough.

Even though Ellie has the best sex possible of her life as she took control of the night, the next morning is a different thing altogether.

Ruben Theroux thinks he's dreaming until he has any mans fantasy come to life with a woman seducing him out of his deprives sleep.... What else can he do but go along with it?

Ruben and Ellie prove a point that a man & woman cannot have a platonic friendship... Especially when you've slept together and also when the electricity between them would sizzle everything out in a 100 mile radios to them.

But when they can't seem to get enough of each other and more emotion than sex gets involved.... What will happen?

This novel is truly amazing & yet another perfect reading experience from the phenomenal Natalie Anderson.

This felt like it took me forever to read. That is not Anderson's fault; I would only have time for at most a chapter or two to read.

This book threw me for a few loops. First, it starts with her "seducing" Ruben. It came off pretty rapey to me, but my SO says that he would have been on board if she was hot and he was single. I guess guys are just different. Anyway, this felt like an opening to a porn.

The dialog used ' ' instead of " ". I guess this is an Australian grammar thing. So, I put this squarely in the "my problem" category. But yeah, I kept reading the dialog as thoughts.

The perspectives were not well defined and could swap mid paragraph.

Ellie's name kept being mentioned as Elbe. So, either her name was originally Elbe (an Italian river, but still cool) and was not fully converted over, her name was Ellie Elbe (in my opinion, a rather stupid name), or just an outright typo.

Reuben was never her boss. He owned locations for her tours/filming locations, but he never actually employed her directly. I truly don't know why this was titled as a "boss" romance. This was more like an "oops, oh well."

By the end, it was rather sweet.

My marathon of Harlequin romances continues with Natalie Anderson's "Waking Up in the Wrong Bed". Now I've been on a roll with surprisingly awesome and addicting Harlequin reads, but now I finally read one that is just good, not anything more.

It starts out as a yummy and tantalizing scene: a woman feels brave and wants to surprise her co-worker by waking him up in the middle of the night with hot sex, only to realize in the morning that it was a complete stranger! She is embarrased, but this hot stranger is determined to find her and woo her.

Ok, so the first initial scene is full of hotness and is entertaining, but most of the rest of the book is just conversations and filler. It isn't a bad book, but lacks the memorable quality that other Harlequin books have had recently. It was a quick read though and had such a good start I give it 3 stars.

Amazing. More superb writing and creative magic from the wonderful Natalie Anderson. It made me smile from page one right through to the end. With a heat level set to sizzling it's like When Harry Met Sally but without the faking.

When Ellie Summers sneaks into bed looking for a night of passion she gets more than she bargains for when her unforgettable night turns out to have been with a man she can't remember! Sexy stranger Ruben Theroux is more than willing to offer a repeat performance and uses all of his charms to convince Ellie that being friendship is far better when there are 'benefits' involved.

I really enjoy this story. It's fascinating to imagine what Eli feel when she realized that she have sex with stranger. I quite like both of Eli and Ruben, both of them not want to loss each other, so they try to be just friend and not friend with benefit, but sometimes they attraction is more strong than they will so they have phone sex and one more night steamy night, but after that they try again to be friends, and in the end they realize what they feel each other more than friend or lover.

Love the ending- One year later, and they still together and Ruben proposed married and Eli get the award

Sure it had an odd "come on, really?!" gimmick to the beginning, but there's no makeover scenes (she actually makes fun of that possibility at one point!), no macho machismo overbearing male bullshit. No (idle) threats, no falsity, no weak female bull. Just good story, passion, flair. Such a breath of fresh air in rando romance. And the epilogue did not disappoint -- no stupid perfect babies or quickie perfect wedding scenarios... just a lovely, plausible ending for this healthy (hot!) couple relationship.

I really liked it.
Always love the kind of one-steamy-night-only-but-turned-I-couldn't-get-enough romance.
But unlike some other books where the hero did truly play dirty, Ruben turned to be play nicely tricky. :D I liked the fact they did their best to be friends and loved the ending where they argued and fought not as couples but as friends.
Look very forward to read other books in the series: For One Night Only?

*why did everytime Ruben said "Ellie", all of the sudden Eli the elephant from Poccoyo popped up in my head? :p

HPX212 Aug2012 Ellie Summers goes to the room, she thinks is her co-worker's, he's been flirting with her. When wakes up in the morning she discovers she has been with a stranger, not the man she knows. She can't get away from Ruben Theroux quickly enough. He can't forget her, but commitment is not in his vocabulary. She quits her job and goes to work as a tour guide, movies have been a big part of her life.

Well!! What can I say? A little out of the ordinary start but everything you can expect from a mills and boon novel and it was an enjoyable read, loved the relationship between the characters, the story was good and I liked the fact that she played a little hard to get and treasured her independence.

I just love Natalie Anderson's books, they're fun, sexy reads and this one is no exception :)

Ellie is such a like able heroine and Ruben is just drool worthy. There are lots of sexy scenes but there's also great banter between the hero and heroine.

Thanks Natalie for another fab read :)

Fun, steamy, with heart... Started off uber steamy -- which I should have expected from the intro, but it still surprised me. And then it slowed down and was cute, and quirky, and interesting. I enjoyed Ellie and Ruben together...they both had flaws, but they overcame them.

If you get over the 'how on earth can you make that mistake!' set up then the rest of the book has a surprising emotional depth.
