With a forced medical discharge and a recent divorce, Gunnery Sergeant Liam Reinhardt rolls his motorcycle into Good Riddance, Alaska. His plan? Hide out in the backwoods and nourish the big ol' chip on his shoulder. But when sparks fly with the sexy little firecracker next door, Liam's brood takes a decidedly naughtier mood!

She may be an expert on love, but after a rough breakup, columnist Tansy Wellington isn't looking for romance. Sex, however--with a wicked, delicious man who makes her blood boil--is exactly what she needs. It's temporary, it's searing hot...and they're about to learn just how wild Alaska can really get!

First, let me say this is how I show up at my desk every morning to write. Dahling, I couldn’t possibly write a word unless I was wearing 3-inch heels with a Martini at hand. NOT!!! But it’s so different, and face it, infinitely less scarey than the way I usually work, running shorts and t-shirt with a cup of tea nearby, that I had to put this picture up.

I’ve been an avid reader ever since I was growing up on a farm in south Georgia. At that time I dreamed of writing poetry while living in The Big Apple and traveling the world. Fast forward, bypassing lots of not-so-glamourous jobs such as barbeque joint waitress, telemarketer, and corporate numbers cruncher, to today’s reality. I write contemporary romance, live in The Big Peach (ya know, Atlanta), and I’m working on the world travel.

I actually live in the suburbs with my husband, daughter, three cats, two rescue greyhounds, and chihuahua who bosses the whole house.

Writing is one of the best jobs in the world and one of the most miserable–depending on which day you’re asking. However, obviously the best outweighs the most miserable or I wouldn’t be working on that next book. So, here’s the straight skinny on the good, the bad, and the downright ugly.

Beautifully descriptive. Makes me feel like i just took a trip. Small town mentality, meaning everyone knows everything about everyone. Really a great series. 5 star

I know I've ready some of the Alaskan heat series before, because some of the layout of the town and people seem familiar. However, I can't figure the books I've read before.

Anyhow, this was pretty good, but not outstanding. The hero has issues and the heroine has issues with her past boyfriend. Add in a person who's obsessed with the hero and you just have a mess. I do like how the hero and heroine seem to do the one up man ship of each other which was cute and had me laughing. I just hope the two can make things work and survive with the plans they made.

hot and steamy and definitely enjoyable. nice little character arcs for what it was. however some parts felt... in there just to be there. to create drama. I felt the Kincaid woman to be completely under utilized. I did enjoy it though. quick hot and easy . 3.5/5

WOW *blinks eyelid* HOT HOT..this was really funny I actually laughed out loud while reading it i think the girls near me in the library was probably thinking I was crazy...I couldn't drop the book, I'm gonna have to read the other books in the series now... also the book kinda reminds me of "Gilmore girls" I don't know why though *shrugs*..it doesn't help that Gus's reminds me of Lukes diner.

I recommend this.

Humour, funny yet alpha hero, smart heroine and did I mention funny dialogue with lovable familiar setting and characters, lots of heat and a touch of the crazy thrown in for good measure. Great book!! I need to be able to give it more than 5 stars. Please tell me we get more stories from Good Riddance, Alaska, Jennifer LaBrecque?!?!

I'll have to say I enjoyed this one. It was a fun read with generally likeable characters. I've skipped the last two books in this series and there were places in the story where I felt I was missing a few things. I also found a few elements in the plot a little too formulated but I have no real negatives. I'll have to go back for the ones I missed!

So, maybe this is like book 47 in a series, but it feels like this book was fifty percent telling us how other couples fell in love. Which left 50 percent of a book to tell this couple's story. I kind of feel bad saying I didn't like this story, because that implies a stronger feeling than I actually have about this book. I have no feelings about this book. It didn't elicit any feelings. I didn't care about any of it. The sex didn't elicit anything. The dialog didn't elicit anything. None of it. Anything. I don't even know why I finished it.
