Senya has been exiled back to the Mother Planet of Rozari. While there, he begins to understand what his real tasks are, why he has been sent here, and what he must do in the coming years. In the meantime, Lt. Cmdr Katie Golden of the Allied Spaceforce suffers a dangerous brain injury while saving her ship from destruction. She is sent to Rozari for the cure, only to wake up and discover that Senya was not a childhood hallucination after all. Now she must make a decision between the career she has chosen and a normal life or the incredible journey that Senya is bound to take her on.
Naomi lives in the north Olympic Peninsula and is mom to 3 and a Pomeranian. She has always been a fan of historical fiction, fantasy and science fiction and is known for having waited in line for seven hours for the opening of both the original Star Wars and Star Trek films.
Having been an accountant for more than twenty-five years, Naomi is now turning her attention full time to continuing The Two Moons of Rehnor series and the Time Tripping Adventure series as dreaming of fictional people is far more interesting than reconciling ledgers.
Uneasy lies the head that wears a crown, or so Senya is discovering in this second book in The Two Moons of Rehnor series. We watched the claw-toed boy grow into a man in The Boy who Lit up the Sky, and now we see the man trying to run away from his destiny. Senya doesn’t want to be king, a position he was literally born to fill, and he has made a home for himself on far away Rozari, a planet still recovering from a nuclear war. The war occurred a thousand years ago, and the old wounds of war still haven’t healed.
Senya’s relationship with Katie Golden, the girl he visited in visualizations during her adolescence in The Boy who Lit up the Sky, has blossomed into an adult romance. Senya finds her again when she is brought to a hospital on Rozari with a head injury. Senya, now a doctor, performs an untried surgery and saves her life. While the two are wildly attracted to each other, the volatility of their relationship tests their resolve to stay together. Katie doesn’t want any part of Senya’s royal responsibilities while he is unable to extricate himself from them. Will they marry and live happily ever after?
My Enemy’s Son shows a maturing Senya, the godlike eagle-man who is just beginning to understand his power. A good continuation to a great series.
I raced through this book, enjoying it far more than the first as we really get into the life of Senya. The hard knocks are still there and the man has to face more than the usual amount ghastly trials and tribulations, but the reader is swept up into the book so fast and I am now completely hooked on the series. The author keeps up with the interesting style of chapters written through each characters eyes and the differing perspectives give this book a unique and interesting feel. I absolutely loved it and I have already bought book 3.
It was an okay read. Much less action than the first book and a little disappointing. I couldn't figure out the purpose of the book which made me hesitant to continue reading. There are great ideas and concepts in the series so far, but it hasn't been executed as well as I would have hoped. While I was reading I kept expecting some amazing climax or revelation, but nothing ever fantastic or life altering happened. I haven't decided if I'm going to read the next in the series, but I believe there's a good chance I will. I don't think I like Katie either. She's too wishy washy with her decisions. However, that's more of a personal critic. I like strong, confident, and stubborn women that can really face of against these larger than life male characters. I saw a few glimpses of that gal in Katie which I appreciated.
Story was really unique! Totally, dude! Cool sci-fi adventure story with modern day twist. It's got everything from Prince, princesses, ancient rituals to majestic castle and space ships. I liked how the writer wrote in the different characters point of view. Wanted to know more, and found out there are many more books in the series. This one series, I want to have them all. It may take me some time to collect. I'm on a third book already, and characters are still fresh in my mind. I'm wondering what's next on book 3. Can't stop thinking about it after reading preview. Definitely one series worth having complete.
Review: The pace of the second book is a lot faster than the first. It's a very quick read, but you definitely need Book 3 before you start Book 2 so you can go from one book to the next without interruption. It definitely ends on a cliffhanger. I love the humor in this series.
(Also, typos fixed.)

Review: More (mostly) ignorable typos. Still hooked on story line.
Read in one day but it was not exciting as the first book, maybe cause now senya is going by the name of ron and living on another planet and meeting with humans who are not half as magical or exciting as those on rahnor!! the very American way they talk is irritating but senya still manages to captivate everyone by his powers and Katie cannot really resist his pill even though she really tries. will she ever accept to be the queen on his planet though?
The 1st book was a bit slow in the beginning. Presenting lots of the characters, different stories and point of view to begin to understand where Senya comes from. But it helped to create and describe the world of Renhor and the around.
The 2nd book i read it in one day and didn't put it down... Downloading the 3rd book right now.
I have the box set of the first three stories of this series but wanted to say that part two is an excellent read.
Multiple characters tell the story from a first-person narrative - all except Senya - which gives wonderful insight and depth to this intriguing tale. Senya, however, is fascinating, and Katie's influence and love are so good for him; I love their relationship.
Great world building and plot, with a brilliant array of characters, so to make this well-written saga a compelling read.
