This book is about people that have been successful in life and their life stories. My dad wanted me to read this book because he thought it would inspire me to become who I want to be in my life. When you read this book, it shows you all the ways you can accomplish your goals and make sure people don't drag you down for them. Some people that took part in this book are: Designer Tommy Hilfiger, X-Games/ Olympic Champ Shaun White, Jazz musician Branford Marsalis, NFL quarterback Steve Young, etc. To sum it up, this book is about winners that achieved their goals by following their personal steps. I would recommend this book to people who like learning about things they can use later in life, and things that are happening in the moment and future, instead of letting their past drag them down.

People who do amazing things tend to inspire the rest of us to perform better, especially when they're people who overcome great obstacles, or we consider another hierarchy than us. It's wonderful to see someone else struggle and then surmount issues we think are impossible.

A little boy without legs refusing to give up becomes a great swimmer, despite his odds because his family refused to give up on him.

Steve Young, of the 49ers, and how commitment made him the incredible quarterback he struggled to become.

And Nikki Stone, the Olympic skier who broke her back and still got up on skiis to do it again.

All these stories and many more help us understand that we are not alone.

This book has such a good message. Reading several of the stories during midterms, the stories this book tells are truly inspirational. I'd highly recommend it to almost anybody. It teaches how to apply yourself and "stick your neck out."
