Slow Cooker Magic: Superb slow cooker recipes to amaze your guests

Rate this book
There’s nothing better than getting home from a hard days work to a home cooked meal, ready and waiting. In our modern lives that’s a luxury we don’t all have, but with a slow cooker there’s no reason not to!

The problem with slow cookers is that people tend to cook the same old thing in them, week after week. Not any more though – this fantastic collection of classic and modern recipes shows you just how adventurous you can be while still keeping the preparation super simple.

In fact, these recipes are so good you can even cook them for dinner parties! Just prep everything, then sit back and relax. None of your guests will realize you didn’t spend all day slaving away in a hot kitchen!

From hearty meaty stews like Hungarian Goulash and Osso Buco, to vegetarian dishes like wild rice and mushroom soup you’ll find this book packed with ideas for all tastes. French, Italian, German and British classical recipes are mixed with modern takes on chillis, soups and stews, and they are all delicious and easy to prepare. (from http://www.fromvalskitchen.com)

In one of the recipes that author instructs the reader to marinate their meat in the crock of the slow cooker overnight in the fridge. Apparently the author never read her slow cooker manual that clearly says to not store meat in the crock in the fridge since it doesn't allow he meat to get cold enough to ward off bacteria! The book lost all credibility after that.
