Sometimes love sneaks up on you. Sometimes it takes you down a path you are eager to follow, and others it sends your life careening out of control to places you never wanted to go.
When Olivia Warren meets Max Clearman, a young man just turning eighteen, she has no intention of getting personally involved with him. She has no intention of being attracted to him and certainly does not intend to fall in love with him. She has plans and those plans don't include falling for someone ten years her junior.
What is it they say about the best laid plans?
Sometimes love sneaks up on you, and takes you down a path you never intended to follow.
Ciana Stone has been reading since the age of three, and wrote her first story at age five. Since then she enjoyed writing as a solitary form of entertainment, before coming out of the closet to share her stories with others. She holds several post graduate degrees and has often been referred to as a professional student. Her latest fields of interest are quantum mechanics and Taoism. When she is not writing (or studying) she enjoys painting (canvas, not walls), sculpting, running, hiking and yoga. She lives with her longtime lover in several locations in the United States.
well, I always liked relationships between a woman and a younger boy, the characters weren't very developed and I found the book short... however, I recommend it!
I really enjoyed this story, I just wished it would have been a bit longer. It ended kind of abruptly. I would have loved for it to have had an epilogue.
I do recommend that it be read. I love stories where the guy is younger.
Such a sweet love story. Max is a wonderful character, sweet, sexy and young, too young for Livi but they fall in love anyway. Their time together is perfect until circumstances force them apart. Regret and yearning follow them and prevent them from moving on but the revelation of choices beyond their control, give them a new perspective of the future. I thought this was a wonderful story. Realistic and romantic with just enough angst to tug at your heartstrings. Though it's a short story, I didn't feel like it was rushed or left anything out, even though it covers a ten year span. It's told from alternating points of view, and from past to present. Often, this style can be confusing and frustrating but it worked beautifully here. My only complaint is that there were quite a few errors where a wrong word, or words, were used, which kind of pulled me out of the story a few times but, all in all, it was definately well worth my time.
This was ok. Short and sweet story. On the predictable side but okay for being a free book. It could have been better if done longer with more development and depth of characters.
I felt bad for Olivia for how Max parents treated her. I liked how Max didn't let the age difference between him & Olivia & his parents stop him from being with her. This is a nice short story I would only read once. This is the second book I read by Ciana Stone I liked this book better than All In Time.
OMG, was looking for a book like this. It had so much emotions, trials and misunderstanding. You can feel the love between Olivia and max. Love how the author reflected on their past. Again great read
2.5 to 3 stars A short sweet story. I was a bit wary about reading this not with the age difference but that he was still a minor at the beginning. I liked the way the story split between a then and now but felt it was a little rushed and didn't go into enough depth of story or characters
This short story just brings to mind The Education of Sebastian and Caroline by Jane Harvey-Berrick though albeit it was less intense and angsty, it still drives home the point. It was an enjoyable read.
A very quick, pleasing read by Ciana Stone. Emotional and surprising events of a couple with a bit of an age difference. Does age really matter? Olivia and Max......I wish it was a bit longer but I liked it regardless.
This was a very quick and adorable read that I would recommend for anyone wanting to read something in less than an hour that gives them all sorts of warm fuzzy feelings.
