Anne Neilson is an artist known for her ethereal Angel Series, reflecting her faith.

In this book, she focuses on Advent period, with 28 days – each day brings a beautiful painting of an angel with the angel’s special role, also involving Bible verses, poetry, prayers and personal reflections. It explores the themes of hope, peace, joy, and love which are traditionally associated with the four weeks of Advent leading to Christmas.

I wasn’t familiar with this artist and author. What interested me into this book was the angel art work. When it comes to the text, what resonated with me was more of the text that related to being the light, being the best version of yourself, and practicing, for example, compassion on a certain day, being more conscious of it as this aligns with spirituality.

For the most part, I believe this book is right for people who are religious or are familiar with this author and her work and dedication to faith.

This devotional of Advent is beautiful, I loved the angel illustrations, so beautiful. This book has 28 days of stories and prayers, it is a great devotional for the holidays.

Beautiful Advent and Christmas devotional! Short but meaningful devotions followed by lovely prayers. I love the angel paintings which accompany each devotion. A lovely Advent reading experience!
