The author of several books on the U.S. Supreme Court and constitutional litigation, Peter H. Irons is an American political activist, civil rights attorney, legal scholar, and Emeritus Professor of Political Science at the University of California, San Diego.
Some stories of legal fights for civil rights and more importantly of some of the various and varied humans in whose names these cases were fought. Very well written. Wonderfully evocative regarding the people, plaintiffs and also judges and defendants in these cases. Important read considering the Supreme Court's long term, ongoing attack on civil rights.
