This is one of those books where you really wish the outside world would stop disturbing you because once you pick this book up, you can't put it down. Kendra is a 29 yr old freelance photographer with a great big house she had custom built on the outskirts of town. ( I so want this house btw). Kendra is in an accident while repelling off Dead Man's Cliff and falls to the bottom of the ravine. She's rushed to the hospital where Dr. Adam Chamberlain fights to save her life through emergency surgery. During the surgery, Kendra dies on the table twice. After bringing her back for the second time, Kendra's condition stabalizes. Throughout the entire ordeal, Kendra is consciously aware of what is happening but she doesn't understand how she can hear everything going on around her. While Kendra is in recovery, still physically unconscious, she hides within her mind, alone with her thoughts, or so she thinks. Her gaurdian angel Rhyan makes his presence known, as well as Dr Chamberlain's gaurdian angel Coen. Together, the angels inform Kendra that they will heal her completely and allow her to go back to her life IF she can save Adam's soul within 1 week. Coen explains that Adam's soul is lost, that he is a disbeliever in God and needs help finding his way back to the good side. Although reluctant that she can actually help Adam, Kendra agrees to try. Afterall, it's only her life on the line. When Kendra made the deal with Coen, she didn't realize just how difficult the task would be. Save my Soul is filled with one suprise after the next, suspence, and love. I generally don't like books about religion, but I didn't feel this book was religious. It was more about good vs evil, choosing what's right over what's wrong. When a book can evoke multiple emotions out of you, you know it's powerful. That's what Save my Soul did for me. I laughed, I cried, I yelled, and I got angry. My heart skipped a beat then started pounding in my chest. I felt joy and sorrow. And in the end, I felt peace.
Kerry's review:
This book will suck you in by the first page! I have read another series by this author and was very pleased to find that she continues to amaze me with her characters and writing style. The main Character, Kendra, suddenly has a lot on her plate and I loved watching her try to figure out how to get everything done in the amount of time she is given. This is one of those books that will have you thinking about what is most important and what you would do if put in the same situation. The second book is already out and I can’t wait to get started on it!

Save My Soul is classed as a romance. I think that is wrong. I think this novel creates its own genre. I’ll call it ‘action romance’ for lack of a better description. Kendra Larkin has a problem: she’s just had an accident that should kill her. But she’s too young to die, so she feels pressured to make a deal with an angel who can save her life. The trouble is, you can’t trust just any odd angel and there are some little details Coen has omitted to mention in the heat of the moment. The events begin to unravel at break-neck speed and Kendra struggles to make sense of life with a guardian angel by her side and at the same time her own feelings towards her angel, Rhyan, dashing nurse Mason and the object of the task she’s been given – Dr. Adam Chamberlain, M.D. I have to say, whenever I see mentions of angels, I worry. To me, religion is a private thing and I don’t enjoy having God and Christianity shoved down my throat. I needn’t have worried. Despite being full of angels from about page two onwards, Kristie Haigwood makes the storyline so real and its characters so well-defined, that it feels perfectly natural to have a guardian angel read your thoughts, talk to you incessantly and even pop in and out of existence when you least expect it. There are so many twists and turns, you’ll be pointing down the wrong path more times than not. Kendra doesn’t know her mind and you’ll be living her emotions and rooting for her every step of the way. You might even recognize some of her predicaments, though you might not be able to deal with them with quite as much humor and light-hearted absurdity as she does. The scenes in which Kendra tries to make the models of her photography business look more camera-friendly are the funniest I’ve read in many months. I can’t imagine there would be anybody that wouldn’t enjoy reading this book. It is funny, exciting, fast, sexy, grown up and playful all at the same time. For me it was a wonderful find, a fantastic experience. If I was searching for a read perfectly suited to myself, I couldn’t have found anything better.
I really enjoyed this book by K.S. Haigwood. I found myself immediately sucked into this novel. I had not read the synopsis, so everything was a complete surprise from the first paragraph. I think that added to my enjoyment. The characters were very fascinating and I loved the concept of a guardian angel and guardian demon. It made for some interesting internal conversations in my head. I love it when books make you think. I do have to admit, that the author did such a good job creating the bad guy that I was kind of cheering him on and hoping he would somehow become not good, but better. Seriously, there must be something wrong with me hehehe. The only thing I can see being an issue in this book is the religious component. It is definitely spiritual and the main character's goal is to get her soul mate to believe in God to save his soul. It is not, however a Christian book, per say and Jesus is not mentioned. This may be a concern for certain readers. This is a book of fiction, not a book of spiritual guidance and I read it as such and found it quite a fun and engaging read. I already put this author's newest book on my TBR :).
A must read! Saving my soul was a wonderful, thought provoking book. The story begins with Kendra, an independent woman who has a near death accident. In order to keep living, she must agree to save the soul of the surgeon who saved her life. Her surgeon, Adam, no longer believes in God. Her guardian angel gives Kendra one week to help Adam find love and faith, or both their souls will be lost. Determined to save her soul and Adam's, Kendra discovers her soul mate and true love.
This is a beautifully written story that will keep you wondering what is going to happen next...a suspenseful romance. I could not stop reading it. I highly recommend this novel.
I have to say that I identified with the male protagonist in that there are reasons people lose faith. Yet, sometimes they find their way back...sometimes with a little help from love.
Well I really enjoyed this book. I was honored that I was one of the very first to read it. Kristie has definitely put a new spin on Angels. She has set a good story line with awesome characters who are in no way perfect, but if they where perfect then this story would not have been a gripping read.
Kendra our heroine is unlike any other heroine. She has to make Dr. Chamberlain believe in something that he has not believed in in many years. She needs him to believe in god in order to save both of their souls. Getting Dr. Chamberlain to believe again is easier said then done.
There are many twist and turns in this story that will leave you wanting to read more and more. This is a definite page turner so make sure you go grab yourself a copy today.
So this book was recommended to me by a friend which is kind of the only reason I picked it up. To be completely honest I expected it to have more of a paranormal touch to it that it actually delivered, but we’ll get to that.
So Kendra Larkin is a twenty something woman who seemingly had a perfect life—a job she enjoys, a loving family, a lot of friends and a fuck-buddy who satisfies her every need (in case you have been living under a rock on mount Everest and/or have an underdeveloped brain, fear not—the book actually provides an explanation to what the term fuck-buddy means). Until one day an accident gets her almost killed. This is how she meets her soulmate Adam, who is also the doctor who is supposed to save her life on the operating table. Now, the thing is that while in coma, Kendra gets visited by two guardian angels (one of them her own) and gets proposed the deal of her life (no pun intended here)—to save the soul of her almost soulless soulmate (I kid you not) and thus be given a second chance at life. Not only is she given only one week to complete the task at hand, but there are also details about this deal that weren’t quite shared with her while sealing the deal.
This doesn’t sound bad, and given the fact that I haven’t been exposed to a lot of paranormal books, I decided that I should give it a try. But this is basically where the good things I can say end. At first Kendra sounded really cool to me, I could almost relate to her. But as the story progresses and her character gets unraveled before our eyes, we understand that Kendra is one of those female characters that are supposed to be the epitome of a perfect human being while being full of shit. We understand that her best friend (and I give this example as it is inconsequential to the storyline) sleeps with full make up on and her hair done—Kendra shares with us that this kind of makes her best friend a slut that likes to fool around, yet she also doesn’t give a fuck about relationships and basically uses men for sex. Which is not a bad thing, but makes your character a complete hypocrite and a bad friend.
What I liked about this book is that it was really fast paced and very easily read, which ultimately results in only wasting a couple of hours of your life to get it over with. Unfortunately, I’m not a fan of insta-love and most of the other bullshit happening in this book that made me roll my eyes and sigh with exasperation, which is I guess obvious by the way I rated it. I don’t know, maybe I expected it to be more paranormal and less . Another unfortunate thing is that the few twists that the story offered were very easily predictable, so don’t expect to be thrilled…
All in all Save My Soul is a quick, fast paced read that could help you kill several hours of your time.
Lucky me! I had the pleasure to be one of the first to read and review this awesome story. Save My Soul has so much going for it. Kristie Haigwood has such a uniquely charming voice in this debut novel. I honestly felt like I was reading about a real person. She is a force to be reckoned with that's for sure. Although quirky at times, Kendra is a strong, likeable young woman and pulled at my heartstrings immediately. This story was so charming and had the magical influence of the old angel on my shoulder, devil on the other. It reminded me of a few old movies I'd seen; Heaven Can Wait, It's A Wonderful Life just to name a couple. A quarter-way into the book, I started questioning whether or not this was a religious book, but then realized there wouldn't be any swearing in it then. There's not much, just a little. Kristie made Kendra so believable the way she showed her working with the students during their photo sessions, I had to wonder whether Ms. Haigwood was in fact a photographer on the side. She did a remarkable job with the details.
There were a few twists in the story, I won't give anything away, but for me, the more twists and surprises a story has the better. The love Kendra had for her guardian angel was an honest love that no one could deny and his love for her was one you would expect if you knew your own guardian angel and could actually see and talk to him. If you love books about angels this is a great one to read. You will be charmed along with everyone else who reads it. Great Job, Kristie! Great Cover too! Thank you for allowing me to read this little gem.
This is a very enjoyable faced paced thriller. I rolled my eyes when I first saw how many chapters were in the book. Fifty, plus an epilogue? No! Say it ain't so because I had just tried to read two other women's books and there was no flow. Way too much fluff and superfluous descriptions. So, with a tired right finger I started clicking and clicking and clicking! Before I knew it, I was 30% complete and fully engrossed.
The stories star Kendra Larkin endures what appears to be a random climbing accident. She knows she's in the ER by the sounds and commotion. But why are all the sounds so clear? Yes, why? But this is no ordinary ER operation. No, not at all. Imagine being awake while the surgeon and his nurses try and bring you back from the dead, not once, not twice, how about three times.
Kendra finds out she has seven days to save the surgeon's soul. If she fails, the surgeon and her souls will be damned for all eternity. That's a pretty good plot line, but it gets thicker. Kendra is torn internally with deep love desires for three men: the surgeon, an attending nurse and her guardian angel and she has seven days to save a soul? For a gal who thought a relationship was kept to friends with benefits, she's about to be thrown into a whirlwind of emotions her soul has never experienced.
The only drawback to the story was the end. I won't spoil it, but it left me a little flat.
Other than that, gals are going to love this story. It is fast paced and packed with emotions and action.
The story kicks straight into action with Kendra, the heroine, lying on the operating table, dying. She miraculously survives, but there is a catch: her life and soul will only be saved if she manages to make the doctor who operated on her believe in God again. Dr. Chamberlain is embittered and has good reasons to have lost his faith, so it's not an easy task. Kendra is helped by her guardian angel Rhyan, who also happens to be really hot :) This is a refreshing change from the 'paranormal-romance-involving-angels'-theme, because I always wondered (while reading other books in this genre) whatever happened to God as one of the main characters. Mind you, I am not a die-hard fan of Christian literature or anything, but when a story is about angels, you sort of expect them to have a connection with God, having to do assignments for Him and all that. At least Rhyan was doing something religion-related in this book, so thumbs up for not slacking off :) The only thing that didn't work for me was that good and evil were portrayed sort of black-and-white in the story. Because Adam (the doctor) lost his faith, he has a guardian demon. That's a bit too harsh for me. But I understand why the author used it in the story. Definitely give this one a go, for a mere 5 dollars it's worth your money and time.
6 stars for this one!! WOW!!! From beginning to end I was hooked!! Read it in an evening bc I couldn't put it down! It starts with Kendra who is on an operating table after a severe accident!! She is given a choice to live or die by the guardian angel of her surgeon. He gets her to agree to convert Adam, her surgeon, to believing in God again or her life will end in one week and she will lose her soul. Little does she know that Adam is set on shunning God and all faith affiliated! He has survived a tragedy that will not allow him to believe again. As she starts spending more time with him, feelings surface and an endearing relationship forms between a charming doctor and a woman he just can't stop thinking of. But as her plan starts to work, she falls for Rhyan her guardian angel, and suddenly the plot thickens. What will happen between Kendra and her two flames, and can she save her soul??? I'm telling you, this story is magnificent!! I am truly pleased with the plot and all the characters, ensnared in the relationships and the character interactions. And the love scenes captivate you as you continue reading and start feeling the heat!! Everyone should give this book a shot, it's worth it!
The opening sequence of this story pulls you in. There is no wading through backstory, it jumps right into the action and continues at a breakneck pace until the very end. A solid and thrilling read. What I loved about this story was the attention to character, and it gave me the feeling that people I was being introduced to were going to be around for a while (*cough more books* cough).
While it touches on religious themes, this book is not preachy, nor can it be described as Christian fiction. It simply brings out the elements of good and evil that are present in all human beings, and in the end, leaves you with a very satisfied feeling of closure.
The plot twists were inventive and exciting and definitely kept me reading, even though for me, the overall feel was a little long. It certainly didn’t drag, but I just kept wondering how much more these people were going to have to go through before everything was resolved. It definitely had you feeling for the characters - something that is always a plus in a story.
Ms. Haigwood’s dialogue is sharp and the prose is well-crafted. I have read another book by her and I will not hesitate to pick up any new offerings. I look forward to reading more by this author. Excellent work.
A refreshing break from the usual overdone paranormal storylines of vampires, werewolves, and other mythical creatures. No doubt about it, the angels and demons subject has been covered many times but Save My Soul bravely charts a new pathway in the theme. The actual storyline is heavily influenced by religion but don’t be put off by the book’s belief in divinity as is not shoved down your throat, for anyone who thinks this may not be their cup of tea. The religious theme is more like a constant undercurrent to the book.
The story’s pace is lightening fast, which you’ll either love or hate – some readers like to know every miniscule detail about characters and their surroundings, preferring slower scene transitions, while others find this boring and don’t want to concentrate on the who, why, where and whens. Either way you certainly won’t be bored, especially with the throng men falling in at Kendra’s feet. A little more detail on exactly why Kendra was such a man magnet and each relationship would have a gone a long way in building the tension and all round emotion of the book. But, nevertheless, still an interesting and entertaining read.

This story was fantastic and had me hooked from the first page! The main character Kendra has had a bad accident, she finds herself on an operating table in hospital fighting for her life, but strangely she can hear everything the doctors and nurses are saying although she is out cold! Kendra finds herself having no choice but to make a deal for her life with a guardian angel, only the angel keeps the most important part of the deal from Kendra, of which she does not find out until after she has made the deal and it's too late to change her mind. She has to save the soul of the very doctor who is operating on her if she is to save her own life... However, this proves to be an almost impossible task as he is a none believer and that cupped with Guardian demons working against her Kendra's hopes of surviving the following week are very slim. This was a brilliant debut novel by this author. I thought it was well written, I loved the authors style of writing and was truly impressed. I cannot wait to read more books by this author. I think this author is one to watch out for in the future. I would have given this book 6 stars if I could...
Not at all what I expected. (To clarify, I didn't expect bad; I expected the stereotypical angel romance that has become so popular lately.) Ms. Haigwood obviously poured her soul into this, and it shows. Where I began to worry that this would become a religious novel, it stayed paranormal and any and all mention of God was part of the storyline, not of any given belief. I'm impressed. I hesitate to go into any detail because I would hate to be a spoiler, but the characters are exceptionally well-developed, the plotline is solid, and (other than the cover, which frankly does nothing for me) I was drawn in and enveloped by the world Haigwood created. Indie books are often a toss-up. This one is a definite winner.
Redemption is often hard to come by, and this story is no exception. The difference? Redemption has a time limit of one week. Kendra should be dead- in fact, she was. If she wants to survive the week with her soul intact, she must lead her savior back to God- and that's no easy task. A tragedy caused him to turn his back on God when he was only thirteen, and not even for love does he want to embrace faith once more.
With a lovable cast of characters- like Rhyan, Kendra's guardian angel, and Hercules, her guard dog- I was left wanting more. The twists and turns throughout the tale kept me riveted, the story was edited and formatted beautifully, and not once was I thrown out of the reading by something that didn't make sense. I highly recommend this tale to anyone and everyone- 5 stars.
Definitely, it has been a pleasure for me to read this book. It hooked me after a few paragraphs. I must say it has been really intriguing for me the whole plot till the end. I love the way the author leads the story, so that you can follow it without problems. I could feel the quemistry between the characters, even the bad ones, and the anguish that Kendra felt as the end of the week was arriving. I really liked the book, and recommend it to everybody who likes this kind of reading.
Absolutely wonderful. As an atheist myself I wasnt sure I would enjoy or even really wanted to read this book. Save my soul is a classic good vs evil bbut twisted into this amazing book. I cant wsit to read more!
Captivated from the very first chapter! What an amazing story. This book was a wonderful Love story, but it also showed how important faith and believing is. Kendra not only had one, but three men in love with her, but the only one that really mattered was Adam, her soulmate, not just for that reason, but her soul depended on it. Adam had lost all faith when his family was brutally murdered when he was just a child. That would be enough to test the most faithful. Not only does Kendra have to convince him they are soul-mates, he must admit his love for her & his renowned faith in God. Kendra is guarded by her wonderful Guardian Angel Rhyan, who has loved her his entire existence. Kendra not only falls in love with Adam, but realizes she loves Rhyan as well, although different, she does love two different people. The love & dedication Rhyan has for her is heart warming & heart breaking at the same time, you'll have to read to find out why. This book was Romantic, sweet, funny, exciting, scary, intense and suspenseful all in one. A great, great book, highly recommended. My only recommendation would be a better cover, it just doesn't do the book justice.
When I read the summary for this book, I thought it was very interesting. As I started getting into the story I got hooked. I wanted to know BADLY what was going to happen, I stayed up late for 2 nights straight because I wanted to know. I truly believe in soul mates and that everything happens for a reason. This book was the perfect example.
I love Kendra as the female lead. She is funny, witty, and strong-willed. She reached out to Adam multiple times to try and get through to him because she wanted to save him. I thought it was very touching and you can tell she cared a lot about other people when she was taking the senior pictures. I thought this book was GREAT with an enticing and interesting plot and well-developed characters. I am going to recommend this book to my friends.
I loved Save My Soul. It's a passionate story of life, death, love and faith. It tucks at you're heart strings and I must admit that I was teary eyed at the end.
A lovely, sweet romance, with a bit of zest thrown in. Ms Haigwood has a way of writing where you smile to yourself at the humor of it and the story plot. Great book, would recommend it!
fantastic read with plenty of on the edge of your chair moments. fantastic characters you really want to love or hate. looking forward to reading more from this talented author.
Kendra’s clock is ticking – but it’s not her biological one…it’s her life span. She has only a short time to save her soul, and the only means by which she can do this presents apparently insurmountable odds.
After a terrible accident, Kendra’s consciousness awakes in the hospital to the sounds of Dr. Adam Chamberlain working furiously to save her life. All of her senses are shut down, except her hearing. And this hearing brings her a voice – the voice of a guardian angel offering her a deal. She can live… for one week, if she can convince Adam to restore his faith in God and believe again. If so, she will save his soul – and her own. If not, both souls will be lost to the demonic angel bent on claiming those souls for Hell.
And if she refuses the deal – she dies on the doctor’s table.
She accepts. She heals faster than any medical expert can explain, and she begins her quest to save Doctor Adam’s soul, and her own life. Whispered to and guided by her guardian angel, Rhyan, Kendra becomes entangled in a confliction of attractions: Mason, the nurse who assisted in the operation and who has a seemingly determined intent to make her fall in love with him; Adam, the doctor, who she feels so certainly is her soulmate, and who she finds herself irresistibly drawn to; and her own guardian angel, Rhyan – who has loved her all of her life.
Adam, whose soul she must save, is rigidly opposed to accepting God and allowing Faith back into his life, and the story plays out with intense pacing as we count down the days, hours, and even minutes of Kendra’s life as she fights desperately against Adam’s resistance.
The story has twists, subterfuges, surprises and betrayals peppered throughout, and keeps you guessing at every turn. Even when Adam finds himself drawn to Kendra, he is still resistant to accepting God… after the tragic events of his past.
There are some delicious surprises as we get further into the story, a story which holds the suspense right up to the last minute. It completes with a wonderfully emotional ending making this a recommended must-read!
I don’t remember how I got hold of this book. I think I was browsing twitter and the author was promoting it so I checked the link and bought it straight away.
The novel begins with fast pace busy action and it doesn’t slow down at all. The main character Kendra is lying on the operating table, she is close to death. However, she can be safe if she chooses to help a doctor that lost his faith to believe in Good again. Kendra has an extraordinary supporters, a guardian angel and less helpful guarding demon.
The author written a paranormal romance which doesn’t involve vampires or other fantasy creature it’s deals with angels and demons which is refreshing after reading so many novels about vampires.
I didn’t classify this book as a religious and I don’t think it is religious at all. The dialogs and characters are interesting. The author grasped the narrative really well. I am big fun of love scenes and I was truly amazed reading the development of the relationship between Kendra and Adam. The novel has got a lot of twist throughout and it made me turn the page until I had to finish it.
The male characters especially Adam are likeable. In the first scene the doctor shouts on nurse, he deserves the slap for being a jerk but he is handsome and he cannot get his eyes of Kendra so he was forgiven.
The book is great but sometimes It was hard for me to follow the narrative because everything was happening so fast and in some parts I stopped reading and wondered why there have to be so many men in Kendra’s life.
Despite that I highly recommend it, anyone who is looking for to have a break from vampires and werewolves you defiantly must read ‘SAVE MY SOUL’.
I actually wanted to rate this book 3 ½ stars, but because we can’t do halfs, I’m rounding up. There were positives and negatives for me, but I think the positives win out.
Let’s start with the negatives. If you are expecting Christian fiction, think again. Although the main character, Kendra, has a goal to convert her doctor, Adam, to Christianity, her view of it is simply believing in God nothing more. The term is very, very loosely used and she certainly doesn’t live it. She cusses like crazy and if I hear the term “friends with benefits” one more time, I might scream. (We get it already!) Not only was that phrase used excessively, the author felt we, as readers, aren’t intelligent enough to know what it means, so she gives a definition. She over explains things like that several times and it really made me feel like I was being spoken down to. One more thing I didn’t really get was the attraction she had to her guardian angel. He came off as an overly hormonal (do men have hormones?), emotional, lovesick kid. And finally, the writing was good but it seemed, at times, to lean more toward explaining the story to me instead of letting me experience it.
Now for the good stuff! I liked the characters of Kendra & Adam and I became emotionally involved with them. I was cheering for them right up to the end. The story was like nothing I’ve read before and was fresh and exciting. It kept my interest and had me eager to find out what was going to happen next.
Overall, it was a good, quick, fun read. Although, it was a freebie for me, I would have been happy to pay a buck or two.
Kendra Larkin had everything going in the right direction. Her life was seemingly perfect, and she wouldn't have changed a thing about it. Unfortunately, the course of her life was about to be forever altered. A tragic rappelling accident lands her on Dr. Adam Chamberlain's operating table.
She agrees to a deal proposed by a guardian angel to help save the soul of the man who is both her doctor and soulmate. If she is successful, she gets to keep her life. However, she later learns that it isn't just her life that's in jeopardy, but her soul as well.
Even with the help of her handsome guardian angel, Rhyan, it seems there is no happy ending in sight. Torn between her newly discovered love of Rhyan, and the undeniable attraction she has for Adam, Kendra finds herself at a crossroad. With Adam's steadfast rejection of God, and his guardian demon conspiring against her, she fears her soul may already be lost.
Will she find a way to overcome the evil her life is suddenly burdened with? Or will Adam's guardian demon win both their souls and make Kendra his own personal puppet in Hell?
Following an accident Kendra is given a second chance to live but she has to make her surgeon and saviour Adam believe [in god]. With help from her guardian angel Rhyan she has one week to convert Adam or face dire consequences herself. At 29 Kendra knows what she wants in life but she is torn between her feelings for Rhyan and Adam, especially since the latter just might be her soul mate. Trying to save her life and her soul but do the right thing this is a thrilling premise that keeps Kendra and us readers on the edge of good and evil. The theme is very Christian and might offend some picky readers, but rest assured that once you accept the story line it is far from preaching gospel or from a religiously toned story. It reads more like a beautiful romance with a paranormal twist. Haigwood is a great writer whose dialogue and narrative are water proof, the plot is entertaining and most importantly for me, the inner conflicts of the characters Adam and Kendra are convincing and make this a rather good read.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading SAVE MY SOUL and read it in two sittings! I was instantly swept up into the story, needing to know how Kendra was going to pull off the seemingly impossible task before her. Between the mystery of Mason, the allure of Adam, and the temptation of Rhyan, I was hooked. K.S. Haigwood has created an intriguing and gripping story; characters that readers can identify with and care about; and a world of angels, demons, love, and loss that entices the reader from the first to the last page. As a fellow writer of paranormal romance and a huge fan of the genre, I can't wait to read more from this very talented author!
This is not my typical choice of book, but I found it to be a great read. I liked the romance between Kendra and Adam; watching Adam struggle against his feelings and beliefs, while Kendra gently coaxes him out of his shell. There is a hefty religious side to this story, but only enough to show Kendra helping Adam to regain his faith rather than being over the top. I found the guardian angel and the guardian demon aspect a nice little bit, giving us the two little men on the shoulder.
I enjoyed this book, and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a feel good book to get stuck into.
If you are a paranormal romance fan this book is for you. Save My Soul got me from the very beginning. K. S. Haigwood did a good job mixing the good angel and the bad angel which we all have in our heads everyday. Even though this wasn't really a Christian book, it was nice to see that good won over evil and love and God were revealed. This book had it all, angels, demonds, love and loss. There are enough twists in this story to keep you hooked. Good Job K. S. Haigwood.
