Beautiful pictures of Abbey's work, not just the paintings but also the woodcuts and drawings. There is not much analysis, but what there is was interesting, looking at how Abbey's use of line changed over his career. This was clearly written by a lover of Abbey's art, it is enthusiastic rather than critical; as someone who knows little about art, I found it enjoyable.
A very nice collection of Edwin Austin Abbey's paintings, painting studies, and drawings, with some helpful essays. There are only a few color reproductions.
