I must admit the cover art with its Amelia Earhart look was part of the appeal of this book for me. But that was only the initial lure. This book grabbed me from the start right through to the finish. In the opening pages, Elizabeth writes in her journal that the love of her life has just died by her own hand. It wasn't a murder but an accident for which Elizabeth feels responsible. Both Elizabeth and her lover, Ted are seriously injured in the accident but Elizabeth recovers whereas Ted does not. After an extended recouperation period at her parents' home, Elizabeth embarks on a journey of self-reflection and self-healing. Along the way, it becomes evident that someone, most probably her abusive ex-husband, is stalking her. Through several chapters, we are left to speculate just why someone is out to get her and how it seems her stalker knows where she will turn up almost before she does. Ultimately, Elizabeth decides to turn the tables on her stalker and devises a good plan with which to carry out her plan. There's a bit of the thriller novel and mystery genre within this book as well as a little bit of Native American mysticism. There is also a message of faith, hope, and love. I read this book in one sitting because I really didn't want to put it down. I would heartily recommend this book.
I absolutely loved the ride this book took me on. A women running form her ex husband in an airplane what a way to write a book It really kind of had me riveted there for a while. I loved the ride and would definately recoomend it to others!

Paul Alexander’s masterful characterization will leave you breathless from the onset. This book is written beautifully and delicately. They say great art leaves you changed after the experience, and Elizabeth's Secret’s is a testament to this truth. This is one of the best books I’ve read in years. I loved the author and cursed him for making me cry so early in the book. THAT HAS NEVER HAPPENED TO ME BEFORE! I cry at the end, maybe the last quarter of a book, but never in the beginning. I was drawn into the story immediately and found my heart pounding along with the characters. I found myself hoping and praying along with them too. My heart broke and was uplifted again. My ears rang. Alexander is a true American talent and Elizabeth’s Secrets is a masterpiece. ~E.M. Ragland, Author
Elizabeth’s Secrets is a rollercoaster of emotions, combining expert character development and an intriguing storyline, which leaves you anxious to turn each page. Mr. Paul Alexander’s second novel is even more masterfully written than Dark Star! ~Carl Sparks, Author
I got Elizabeth's secrets as a first reads book. This is a book that written by someone who likes to fly. If your interest is in small planes, this may be a book that you would like. As for me, there were moments in the book I found interesting but they got bogged down in the details. This is a very detail rich book and at times, I found that the details got in the way of the story. This book needs a good hard edit.
started off a little confusing, figured out early who was responsible. lots of aviation, but told in a way the lay man could understand. Enjoyable book and he wrote as if he had been an abuse victim.
