Violet Raine is a talented musician and was recently outed as a wolf shifter. Humans have been aware of the existence of shifters, and Violet is just one of the many of the shifters who have chosen to keep their shifter status a secret. When she is outed by someone she trusted she chooses to go into hiding at an exclusive island resort owned by a dear friend and wait for the uproar in the media to subside. Jesse Walker is a government agent and is assigned to the same resort to investigate the disappearances of other shifters from that very same island resort. When he meets Violet, he senses that she could be very special to him, but his boss insists that he uses her as an asset in his investigation of her friend, and owner of the resort.
Wonderfully well written, compelling and unique characters wo forge a relationship in spite of the danger in which they find themselves. Exciting action suspense, adventure, mysterious disappearances, and unexpected twists in the plot. I think this is a must-read, very steamy shifter romance.

A pleasant surprise this interesting and fast paced story full of intriguing situations, undercover agent, betrayal, rejection, and fate mates. The Blurb caught my attention right away with the change of scenery from what the author has me used to. The reading intrigued me from the beginning. A threat targeting the shifters and a mission to uncover it. Both protagonists were shifters, strong, intelligent, resourceful, and going through the explosive pull of their other nature. The action was not long in coming and I soon found myself conjecturing about what could be behind the events, which by the way seems that my neurons were turned off because I didn't get one right, in truth the mystery was not turning out to be predictable. Quite an adventure with exciting narratives and descriptions, strong emotions, funny scenes, many twists, romance, passion. What happens when humans find out that shifters are part of their world? For Violet, it seems to be the end of her superstar singing career. It doesn’t matter that she poured her heart and soul into her music. Now she justs wants an escape even if for just a short time. But an escape to a secluded resort may be way more than she expected. The story gradually builds in the action and danger as well as the romance. Lies and deceit may just ruin her chance at love as well as her life.

Famous pop star Violet and covert agent for the Bureau of Shifter Affairs Jesse's story is well written and kept me turning pages. There is drama, suspense, danger, a villain closer than they realize and romance. The story was well worth reading. I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This was an entertaining series opener and it was also quite the mystery. I found myself caught up in the story right from the beginning. Expect good world building, fun characters with great interactions, twists and romance to have you, too, glued to your reader as you follow Violet and Jesse to their HEA :D

After being outed as a shifter Violet goes in hiding at her friends resort. There she meets Jesse. There is an instant connection between the two. One small problem. Jesse is there undercover. He needs to do his job and keep Violet at arms length. Easier said then done. Good read.
