Love this spelling series! I really like the multisensory approach as well as the concept of moving through levels based on mastery not grade. This particular level continues to develop spellers knowledge of spelling rules and assesses knowledge of rules through word analysis, spelling of words applying new rules, spelling of sentences utilizing words/concepts learned, and finally writing station (students write a word, it's base word and compose a sentence properly using the word).
I recommend as the program suggests to start at Level 1 even for older/more advanced spellers. Each level provides an excellent teaching (for newer/younger spellers) and great review on why we spell words the way we do(for older/more advanced spellers). Because it is based on mastery of the concepts and rules some spellers move through lessons more quickly.
