Many authors claim to have known their calling from a young age. Liz Schulte, however, didn't always want to be an author. In fact, she had no clue. Liz wanted to be a veterinarian, then she wanted to be a lawyer, then she wanted to be a criminal profiler. In a valiant effort to keep from becoming Walter Mitty, Liz put pen to paper and began writing her first novel. It was at that moment she realized this is what she was meant to do. As a scribe she could be all of those things and so much more.

When Liz isn't writing or on social networks she is inflicting movie quotes and trivia on people, reading, traveling, and hanging out with friends and family. Liz is a Midwest girl through and through, though she would be perfectly happy never having to shovel her driveway again. She has a love for all things spooky, supernatural, and snarky. Her favorite authors range from Edgar Allen Poe to Joseph Heller to Jane Austen to Jim Butcher and everything in between.

Sweet Little Lies - If you have read any of Liz Schulte's books, you have encountered the Sehkmet Femi. She is a bounty hunter who focuses on missing person cases, but has a soft spot for helping her friends. This probably is because she really doesn't have a lot of friends. You won't learn a lot about her in most of the books, but this sort story will give you a great look at who she really is and why she acts the way she does. This story is about one missing person case she decides to take on against her better judgement. She is working for a rather handsome vampire. In Liz's world, vampires don't feed on people by buying them. They off of their life force simply by touching them. Buying them serves simply to deliver a toxin that makes their food more pliable. Femi learns a very valuable lesson about how vampires really operate and why the world doesn't trust them. It's a great short story that makes me hope that maybe Liz has plans to write a book or two about Femi later on.

Autumn's Call - This sort story has all the elements necessary to make a much longer story. What I mean by that is that it has a confusing beginning that makes me think I need more information. It a romance that I want to know more about. It describes how death occurs in a way that makes you think there's more to it. Finally it ends leaving you wanting more. I don't know if this sort is a part of any of Lisa Rayns other books, but I think I need to find out so I can read more.

Tell a Soul - I love all of Olivia's books and this is a wonderful addition to her Bend-Bite-Shift series. If you have read those books, you know who Langston is. If not, he is a giant of a man who is also a gentle witch. This short story finally explains who he really is and brings him together with the love of his life.v it also introduces a new type of supernatural person that I feel leaves room for Olivia to expand her books more. What I mean by that is that she could write a whole book about Kristana and I would gladly read it.

The Siren Sarina - I know that Sarina is a character in some of C.G. Powell's other works, but I honestly do not remember a lot about her. This short story is meant to give us a little background information on the siren as well as tease your adult fantasies as well. I thoroughly enjoyed all the Greek mythology that is presented as Sarina tells Zeus about her dealings with Ares and Aphrodite. Powell works a lot of little details into this story showing her extensive knowledge of the myths. I enjoyed learning about Sarina, but was left wondering if she will ever get her own book. I definitely would read it if she did.

Fool Moon - I read Hunter Moon by Cait Lavender a long time ago, but I remember loving it. I was very excited about getting a chance to read more of her work. I was not disappointed at all. This short story is about a military man who has returned from Iraq to find the woman he secretly loved to be with another man. His best friend also found his wife with another man. That detail is important because his friend is the one that dragged him into the strip club where he meets the woman of his dreams. He just didn't dream that she would be a werewolf. I loved how their very short courting takes place and the end result. I just wish it were a full length book.

When Opportunity Haunts - I have read all of the Gwen Sparks books so far. If you have read them, you know about Dorian Hade. This sort story is told from his perspective. He is an angel of death and helping Gwen to understand her spirit walker powers. He also happens to be drop dead gorgeous, caring, and completely infatuated with Gwen. In this sort story, he is trying to distract Gwen from her heartache from her ex-boyfriend Aiden. He is also trying to teach her a little more about her peers while trying to woo her. He's not entirely successful or unsuccessful, but it will give you a clue as to the tension between the two of them that can be found in the main series.

I must say that I am an Stephanie Nelson fan so when she gave a sneak peak into her Gwen Sparks saga I had to pick this up and read it to get my fix! But not only did she not disappoint but I was introduced to 5 other amazing authors who literally had me so enthralled in what they wrote, I had to look them up and purchase more from them!

I particularly enjoyed Sweet Little Lies by Liz Schultze, the story of Femi the otherworldy bounty hunter who introduces us to a new world of supernatural beings!! This story had me hooked from the beginning as she embarks on a conspiracy to uncover who is framing the vampires while she falls for one herself who isn't who he appears to be! The intimacy in these scenes is HOT!!! I had to fan myself because they were detailed and sensual, definately sexy!!!

Autumn's Call by Lisa Rayns is about Autumn and her encounter with a "ghost" as he helps her cope with dying as she succumbs to her final hours of life, but nothing is how it seems, and the twist in this story still has my head spinning....Love has no boundary in this tale, and neither does the love making!! I just kept thinking how I totally didn't see the end coming!! It was brilliant!

Tell A Soul by Olivia Hardin is about reincarnation of souls and what happens when they finally meet up again in a life where they can finally be together! Only this time, something is different, magic is in play and Kristana and Langston must discover what magical powers have Kristana seeing into the spirit world and plaguing her with the undead! Their chemistry sizzles as they rediscover one another again, no explicit details, but still sizzling chemistry.

The Siren Sarina by C.G. Powell is about a succubus who has tanles with the Greek Gods, only she has made an enemy out of Aphrodite and finds herself at Zeus' mercy. Can this sexy siren convince Zeus that she had every right to do what she did, I mean the art of seduction can't be held against her can it, even if she goes against the God of Love?

Fool Moon by Cait Lavender is a military tale that includes werewolves and what happens when the Alpha's daughter mixes with a military man at Fort Bragg. What happens when Carlie exposes herself to Jack, how will he react to her being a werewolf, and will their one night of intense intimacy be enough to keep him? This werewolf tale has soome heat to it, and in the end you can't help but root for Carlie and Jack!!

When Opportunity Haunts by Stephanie Nelson is a starts off where Decieved left off, as Gwen Sparks and Dorian Hade becoming roommates. Dorian is convinced that Gwen is fighting her attraction to him so he cooks up a scheme to get her out of town and alone with him in a hotel room where he can tempt her to do what he knows she really wants to. Their attraction is undeniable and their chemistry is sizzling, and being inside Dorian's head to get his point of view is a nice treat! I loved this anthology, as I am all for team Dorian!! This just proves I can never get enough of Gwen Sparks, MORE PLEASE!!!

I am not exaggerating when I say this anthology is like the box of Godiva chocolates of the indie paranormal romance world. I "needed" to get this collection because I love Olivia Hardin and "had" to read Tell A Soul. I love her Witch Way Bends and wanted a "fix" while I waited for book two to return. It did not disappoint!

I completely fell in love with Cait Lavender and Liz Schulte through their stories and have since downloaded more of their works. I had Stephanie Nelson's Gwen Sparks series and C.G. Powell's Spell Checked in my TBR pile and now they are both near the top. To me, this is the joy of an anthology. You get to discover new authors and series you "have" to read. As a bonus, some of the author's also had sneak peaks so you could check out some of their other works.

If you are a fan of paranormal romance, I would recommend this book without reservation. It has everything from cowboy shifters to an angel of death to Greek gods and everything in between. It really has something for everyone. I have no doubt that you will be adding to your TBR pile upon completion of this collection ;).

I really enjoyed reading all the paranormal romance stories in this book, each author bringing their own unique twist. Lots of action and suspense surrounded the main theme of love, some a bit juicier than the others. So even if you’re not into romance, there’s plenty of other stuff going on that promises great entertainment. It’s really hard for me to peg a favorite as I thought the entire collection was amazing and I was introduced to a few authors I’d never read before—and now I’m looking forward to checking out other books they’ve written.

This is probably the best anthology I've ever read. My favourite is The Siren Sarina, followed by the one that had Lies in the title. Little Lies? Ah, whatever the first one. But the sirena sirena one is amazing. If C.G. Powell wrote a book about her adventures I'd definitely read it (hint hint C.G. Powell, if you read reviews)

"Cupid Painted Blind" is a collection of six short stories by Liz Schulte (Author of Dark Corners and The Guardian Trilogy), Lisa Rayns (Author of The Curse of the Egyptian Goddess), Olivia Hardin (Author of Witch Way Bends), C.G. Powell (Author of Spell Checked), Cait Lavender (Author of Cowboy Moon) and Stephanie Nelson (Author of The Gwen Sparks Series).

I've to admit that I purchased this one, because of the "Dorian Hade/Gwen Spark" story. I love the "Gwen Sparks" Series by Stephanie Nelson. So, I had to pick this up and it's a such sweet little story.

This collection is really great, cause I also could taste the other author's work.
