This read was really a pleasant surprise for me, and totally different from the first book Who Do I Run To? Janiece was so confident in this book, she knew what she wanted and went for it. She really evolved tremendously from the first book. The whole Janiece-K.P.-Isiah triangle was something else. I almost wanted them to live a polygamy happily ever after, but of course it couldn't be that way. Janiece's sister Janelle's story line with Devon from Now You Wanna Come Back & Now You Wanna Come Back 2 was something else. I almost wanted to read a lot more about them because their story was so juicy. I was secretly rooting for them to make it. The twist with Christa at the end was totally unexpected. Overall I thought this book was a huge improvement on the last, and I am glad I gave this author another chance....well done.
This novel was absolutely magnificent, I read this novel in four hours or less. Ms. Black allows us to revisit the lives of Jai, Isaiah, KP, Janelle, Greg, and a few past characters make cameos. All I can say is wow this novel was an emotional roller coaster. I felt happy, sad, and devastated through out the entire book. She captures the intensity and emotional state of each of character. She allows readers to see themselves in any of the characters shoes. I enjoyed seeing the cameos from characters from Ms. Black's previous novels, I love when an author updates us. I enjoyed every bit down to final page to the point where I had tears in my eyes. Ms.Black is definitely a force to be wrecking with and I can't wait to see what else she has in store for readers. Amazing work!
LOVED IT....Great story......All I can say is this was a GREAT read!!!!Who Do I Run To part one was not a favorite of mine but Ms. Black DEFINITELY made up for it in Part two.....Janiece, Isaiah, KP, Janelle, Greg and Iyeshia kept me turning the pages.....I won't say much more but I will say I was TeamKP all day long.....Pick up this one and you won't be disappointed....
This book was really good! I could not put this book down. I really think janeace did a 360 in this book on the handling her buisness aspect! K .P also evolved into a respectable character in this book also, this is definitely a must read. thumbs up to Mrs Anna Black for this sequel!
The conflict of the heart and the ability to truly love 2 different ppl for very different reasons!!!…This ending was not what I expected, especially after everything Janiece went through in the 1st book!!!…My heart broke for Janiece, Isiah and KP!!!…I truly didn’t expect KP to come through the way he did!!!…Isiah sister worked my nerves and had I not had insight into Janiece, I would have thought she was evil woman, and not a heartbroken woman!!!… I glad that Isiah was able to get back to his daughter and able to open his heart to loving another woman!!!… Janelle was a reactive woman, and the lack of communication and affection from her husband played a big part in the breakdown in their marriage!!!… I loved Isiah’s mom and glad that upon Isiah’s return, he checked his sister and his father!!!… Overall, this was a well written book that definitely tugged at your heart strings, but the ending will make you smile!!!…
Who Do I Run to Now? by Anna Black, picks back up with Janiece being married to Isaiah living happily ever after. Things are going fine until Isaiah is called to serve another tour in Iraq. Meanwhile, Janiece is doing all that she can to cope with missing Isaiah.
K.P. has hit it big in Vegas and has decided to come back home to Chicago. He hopes to pick up the pieces with Janiece and finally start their lives together. To his dismay, he learns that she is now married to Isaiah and happily.
Janelle has some serious crow to eat in this book, but I won't go into her story in order to avoid spoilers.
Who do I Run to Now? was by far the best in this series. Don't think that the books before this one didn't deliver because they did. This book however, unearthed emotions from deep within the core of your soul. Who Do I Run to Now? made you cheer for love while mourning it at the same time. Unless you're an ice queen, this book is bound to make you shed a tear or two and have you wondering what you would do if you were ever found yourself in this type of situation.
Anna Black truly outdid herself with this one. I look forward to another book from these characters even though she summed up nicely, there's always room for more. Hint! Hint! : )
This series ended so great. It literally had me on he edge of my seat waiting to see what was going to happen. The drama was still on point in this book like it was in the first.Although i felt like some parts in the story could of went in to more detail I still loved it great way to end the series :).
OMG, Anna has done it again, I really enjoyed this sequel, in my opinion this was better then book one, I enjoyed reading about Janiece, KP, Isaiah and his crazy sister. Could not put this book down. Good job Anna.
I dont want to give the book away, but I was torn between #team K.P. and #team Isaiah. This book will send you on an emotional roller coaster. Great job Anna! I'm looking forward to your next book.
O.M.G..I'm so emotional right now, like I actually have tears in my eyes from reading the ending to this book. Wooosaaaa, OK part two picks up were one left off..well let's skip a few years and all seems well with Janiece and Isaiah. But after every quiet there is a storm. And the aftermath is just a series of unfortunate events that just happen to build a very intense and emotional read. I literally went on a rollercoaster ride with this one. Happiness, sadness, shock, anger, pity, and elation are just a few of the emotions I experienced reading this book. I must say I loved the way the characters seemed so real and relatable and I imagined if I were in many of the situations in this book, maybe I would have acted the same way. I loved how the author was able to give feasible time frames; it made for a smooth transition throughout the plot. I also enjoyed that moment of truth (when you read, you will know what I mean); I literally talked to myself asking 'what's going to happen'. I haven't had that thrill of suspense in awhile so I really loved that. And the ending wasn't rushed. It filled in the gaps and gave me just what I needed; all my questions I had were answered and I was left satisfied. I usually don't like various books to be linked through the development of characters'relationships but this was nicely done. I actually took a piece of paper and made a mapping of the relationships from this series to the 'Now you want to come back' series and 'Luck of the Draw' so when I read 'Now you wanna come back 3'I would be able to remember and understand. Lol, weird but necessary for me as there are many links.
Kudos to Anna Black.. on writing another great series!
This was a good book, but very sad in my opinion. There was so much truth in what happens to alot of our servicemen now today. I felt sorry for KP and for Isaiah, but I guess I found that Janeice's final decission was lilgt. NOW my question is who is the baby's daddy this time? Overall it was a truely an interesting book.
This book was so cute. I completely sypathized with the military aspect of this book. I am military myself. So I love that the author included that in the book. I read this book as pat of a book club and didn't read the first part. Now I am going to have too.
I'm actually surprised that I liked the story. It was a great read with a lot of twists. I truly hated Isaiah's sister, since she was the cause of a lot of problems. That's why you don't need everyone in your family in your business.
