The Poodle Problem
Nine-year-old Pippa Peppercorn loves helping out at the only beauty salon in the quiet town of Crumbly-Under-Edge. A cosy joint run by the cuddly Mrs Semolina Ribena Fudge, customers and their pets stop by as much for the tea and sympathy as for a trim. But when rival beautician Trinity Meddler comes to town and sets up shop, Mrs Fudge is in danger of losing her customers. What's more, Trinity has a sinister plan up her sleeve - involving oodles of poodles! Luckily Dash the talking dachshund, with a nose for sniffing out a good mystery, is on hand to save the day - with Pippa as his number-one assistant.

yes i got an A in A Level English Lit, what's your poodle problem???
sometimes you spend all week basically doing a 9-5 of teaching young people about Jesus (as well as playing super fun games, eating super fun food and doing super fun - exhausting - activities) and you just need an easy read. here is my easy read. just a silly little book that i read when i was about 12. it makes me feel like i could write a children's book. maybe one day i will.

WOW!! This was a great book for reading!! I thought that it was a very adventurous book. If you love cute books, you would LOVE THIS!!! You would wanna read it tons of times

Ugggghhhh. Kid A picked this out at the library and we're reading it aloud before bed. He thought it was about puppies but it's actually about rivaling hair salons. It's written in cheeky British English for 10 year olds and it is everything that is wrong with Books For Girls. Kill me.
