Note: An Audiobook was generously provided in exchange for an honest review.

GOd these two, totally fell for them hard.

The chemistry, the witty banter, the actual confessions - my heart suffered a rollercoaster ride with these two.

I literally have lost words to express how much of a favorite they are to me. So wonderful they are.

AS for the audiobook length, I was definitely not bored and kept wanting the audiobook to go on forever, the narrators were so good at portraying the characters right. I felt I was right in the room with them, damn astral projection happened here I guess.

Anyway, definitely check this one out if you love a rollercoaster ride with two chaotic but wonderfully developed characters and banter that'll make you want more as each chapter finishes.

Until the next read,

Cha-ching!!! Jennifer Probst brings her readers back to Sin City in Play Me, the second installment to the Steele Brothers Series. And this time, Mrs. Probst has delivered a winning hand!! Play Me was sinfully hot as another Steele brother is off the market when he finally met his perfect match. Roman Steele was tired of the easy women of Vegas who will bend to his will. He was looking for a woman who would be able to intrigue and stimulate him mentally, emotionally and sexually. So when he was matched up with the Queen of Cards, Sloane Keller, via the same matchmaking agency that worked for his older brother, Roman couldn't be more thrilled because Sloane was definitely what he wanted. He was attracted to her confidence, beauty, intelligence and independent spirit. Also he loved the fact that she could match him sexually and submit to his dominance in the bedroom. So after their one hot primal night together, will Sloane be able to place her heart on the line and take a gamble on Roman? Or will this Queen of Cards be folding her hands?

#PlayMe

Play Me was definitely a steaming hot novella. I was instantly drawn to Roman and Sloane as they really showed that they were indeed the perfect pair. Besides having hot sexual chemistry, they balanced each other when it came to dominance and submission. Their palpable chemistry was something that couldn't be denied. As always, Ms. Probst did a great job in balancing sexy times as well the sweet and intimate moments of the couple.

A scorchingly hot erotic quick read.

Sloan Keller had to grow up tough in order to get ahead. Being strong and independent comes in handy when you’re a professional poker player in a mostly male dominated arena. But finding a man who’s strong and secure enough to keep her interest isn’t that easy. She wants a man that can be her equal emotionally and dominate physically. Even if she finds someone like this, will she take the risk of asking for forever?
“What were you looking for, Sloan?” A man to make her forget she always had to be in charge. A man to cuddle her and make her feel feminine and cared for. A man to challenge her mind and make her spirit soar.”

Rome Steel, the Queen of Cards, is a man tired of settling for anything less than a partner with spark, someone who’ll stimulate him mentally. A headstrong, confident and astute woman who challenge him in and out of the bedroom and strong enough that she won’t easily submit to his domineering tendencies. Caving into his brother’s suggestion to use Fanta-C, a very private matchmaking agency, he’s shocked to see the woman they set him up with. A woman who's "very demeanor called to his soul to complete him." Can one night be enough for them?
“Do you think this is the middle ages, buddy? What are you going to do – spank me?”
His lips twitched. “Actually, yes. That’s exactly what I’m going to do.”

This novella was hot, HOT, H.O.T. Perhaps I found it so because I love strong characters and these two fit the bill perfectly. I didn’t just like that Sloan is a smart woman. I loved how she did not easily back down, which only served to ratchet up the intensity between her and Rome. Of course Rome was more than up for the task and completely yummy in his alphaness.
“His mouth came down on hers with a rough command. She fought back for a moment, then gave in to the delicious feeling of being conquered and forced to release control.”

I also enjoyed how Jennifer balances the sexiness of this short story with sweet, intimate moments in which the characters get to know one another and form a bond that goes beyond their first night together.
“He had one week to convince her to be his. Time to make his final bet. The bet of a lifetime. And this time, he was playing for keeps.”

Play Me is novella #2 in Steele Brothers series by Jennifer Probst. It’s filled with incredibly sexy moments that had me turning page after page. Told from both point of view, with light DBSM elements and a happy ending. It can be read as a standalone.

Roman Steele aka Rome moved to Vegas not too long ago, & works as a dealer at the casino at the Bellagio. His love life has kind of been in a bit of a rut lately, so his brother gives him a business card for FANTA-C. FANTA-C is an exclusive matchmaking agency that finds you the perfect person for one night of pleasure with no strings attached.

Reluctantly he calls the number and meets up with his mystery woman. He is stunned when he realizes it's none other than the queen of cards, Sloane Keller. Sloane is very well known in the Vegas world as the champion of The World Series of Poker.

Rome wanted a woman who would challenge him, but also someone he could dominate in the bedroom. He meets his match in the feisty, confidant Sloane Keller who challenges him at every turn. Together they are electric! They both struggle with ending things after only one night & want more from each other. Feelings get involved & they start to fall for one another. We get super hot sex & one delicious book! Loving this series! Bring on the next Steele brother! ;))

I love a good story about finding your true love, especially in Vegas. These two had immediate chemistry and I could feel it through the words. Novellas as perfect for me and give me just what I need in a short book. I like that this didn’t leave me hanging and gave me just enough!

Roman Steele is a man who knows what he doesn't want: a tease. He wants a strong woman who will bend to his will, so he can worship her. He's frustrated that his brother talked him in to arranging a one night stand through FANTA C, but he's not one bit disappointed when he picks World Poker Tour ace Sloane Keller up at the gaming tables.

Sloane is so tired of men who won't go the extra mile to satisfy her. She's used to manipulating men, and dominating them out on the Tour, so a pushover of a partner is not who she'd respect. Rome is not that guy. He beats Sloane at her own game, time and again, wringing some serious pleasure from her high strung body. There's a dash of domination in their bedplay and it's exactly what Sloane needs: to give over control of herself in a safe space. Of course, their one night ends, and that's not nearly enough to satisfy.

I liked how Rome didn't give up, and also how Sloane recognized that letting go didn't mean she was weak. They make a fun couple, one that will constantly clash for power and pleasure.

As this is an erotic novella, it's a quick read. Perfect for a sexy distraction while you wait to pick up a kid from practice!

I really nice addition to the 1Night Stand franchise and a great sequel to the last Steel Brothers book.

Sloane is one cool controled customer in the casino but in the bedroom she is looking for a man who can make her stop and let go. Roman is just the fella for her! He is a master in the bedroom and strong enough to stand next to a confident lady everywhere else!

Such a steamy read!! Nice elements of BDSM, nothing too hardcore, more sensual play. Several very heavy scenes packed into this short story. Very yummy and fun to read!

This second in The Steele Brothers series is a bit more instalove than the first, but it's just as much fun. I love the premise with the exclusive agency setting everything up and pairing people with compatible visions for the perfect night. Of course, things move beyond that one night, but we won't go there to avoid spoilers. This is a novella-length read after all.
Roman and Sloane are great characters, and I love that Jennifer Probst took the time to make them three dimensional, and she did it without sacrificing the other elements of the story. Speaking of the elements of the story, Play Me is well-rounded just like book one in the series. It is instalove, and this pair generates enough steam to peel the paint off the walls, but Roman and Sloane are both likable. They're the types of characters that are easy to root for.
Matthew Williamson brings this one to life for the audio, and like the first book, I enjoyed hearing his seductive purr. I like that he brings Roman to life so well, and he also voices Sloane. He doesn't sound completely feminine but still gives her a distinctive voice without sounding cheesy. I'm sure it's not easy, but Williamson makes it sound effortless.
The only drawback on the audio version was that there's a hiss during any pause. It actually sounds like a tape rewinding or moving faster than normal speed. It's not a huge thing, but it is noticeable, especially since it happened all the way through the book. That said, the hiss didn't stop me from enjoying the story or its characters.
This one is more lighthearted than the first book, which is perfect for an easy listen. The couple has great chemistry, the steam just keeps rollin', and it's just what the doctor ordered for a bit of escape from this crazy ol' world.

This is an ARC review. All opinions are solely my own.

This is an audiobook review.

Play Me by Jennifer Probst is book two of the Steele Brothers series. This book was a quick listen.

Matthew Williamson is a great narrator. He really delineates the male and female voices.

Sloane is a professional poker play and Roman is new to Vegas. Their romance is quick and hot. Sloane needs an alpha man to let her lose control. Even though this is a novella the characters and storylines are well developed.

I can't wait to read/listen to the rest of this series.

Audio Review: Play Me (The Steele Brothers) by Jennifer Probst, Narrated by Matthew Williamson

Step outside the box and tango with a little taboo. Roman and Sloane were a pleasurable surprise that packed more than a hint of heat. The Queen of Cards and the Devil of Temptation are a sweet escape from the norm. Williamson showed Roman had a heart hiding behind that bad boy shell. Probst gave romance a naughty edge and stole the show.

WOW. I absolutely ADORED this short, sweet and seductive audio by Jennifer Probst! It reeled me in from the very beginning and did not stop til the last second. Rome and Sloan were a match made in heaven. They were hot and heavy and the sex scenes were fire. I loved everything about this and the only downer is that it wasnt longer! I loved the narrator Matthew Williamson also, he did a fantastic job.

Why is it that once one person finds the love of their life that they feel the need to make everyone else as happy as they are? Roman Steele’s brother found his mate through Madame Eve’s 1 Night Stand dating agency and has been begging Roman to move out to Vegas and work in the casinos. But what started out as just working at the casinos, quickly turned into a nagging voice to find a mate for Roman. What else could Roman do? After all, it was a night with a woman.
Sloane Keller is known for her poker playing abilities. She is one of the few women on the poker circuit and is known for her no nonsence attitude. Because of this, she hasn’t had a decent date or orgasm in a long time. It’s her attitude that keeps the guys away. That is until Roman Steele comes into her life. Roman isn’t about to take “no” for an answer. He is determined to show Sloane that in order to receive pleasure, sometimes she has to let go of the control.
Play Me is the second book in The Steele Brothers Trilogy and another exciting thrill-ride of passion as Roman teaches Sloane about domination and control. Sloane reminded me of many strong women who have to hide that sensitive part of themselves in order to deal with the guys at their level. She is so used to guys backing down that she realizes that only a man who can challenge her will ever be able to pleasure her.
Roman is a strong man and comes off a little cocky. This is a definate difference from Roman’s brother, Rick from the first story. Roman doesn’t have that lack of trust that Rick did, but he still hasn’t found the perfect woman for himself and until his does, he isn’t really interested in playing a game with women who aren’t challenging. Roman knows what he wants and how to go about getting it.
Play Me is a sexual adventure filled with two strong characters who dominate their scenes. They definitely don’t disappoint in the lust department. I can’t wait to meet the youngest brother now and see what makes him tick!

Book two, Play Me, delves into the BDSM theme a little more.
"What do you get if you win?"His face turned. Determination and promise gleamed from those blue-gray eyes in warning. His voice dropped to a growl. "You of course. But you'll listen to everything I say without any back talk." He paused and deliberately stated at her with the look of a warrior issuing an order. "And obey."

Rome Steele followed his brother to Vegas, and with little pushing he accepts the blind date with FANTA-C. One night, one perfect night with the perfect woman, what has he got to lose. Rome is pleasantly surprised to find a champion poker player, someone he's been half in love with. Sloane Keller was dubbed "The Queen of Cards" a beautiful woman who appeared on the scene and blew everyone out of the water. She was the perfect woman to give Rome the challenge he craved.

Sloane won the jackpot when she first saw her date for the night, stomach flip flopped and their was something about him that commanded her attention and made her want to give him everything he asked for, not that she would make it easy for him. The bet made, one hand of BlackJack, he wins she obeys him in every way for the night; she wins and he is hers whatever she wants. Sloane loses, but not just the hand of blackjack she loses her heart to him; but with Sloane's life she is worried that her work will jeopardize any relationship she will have and is scared to risk it with Rome

Play Me shows a little more of the dominating side of BDSM, a little bit more on the theme then the first book. A really nice storyline and likable characters

4 Star review of Play Me (The Steele Brothers #2) by Jennifer Probst

Audio Review:
For such a quick listen, narrator Matthew Williamson certainly did justice to this story from Jennifer Probst. This is the second book I have listened to in this series and I have to say it was just as entertaining as the first book.
This time it is Roman Steele who is using the agency, FANTA-C at the recommendation of his brother to experience the fantasy of his dreams. Sloane Keller is a professional gambler who also wants to experience a night of fantasy and passion.
Rome is fed up with the women he has been with and wants a woman who is passionate, fiery, not afraid to take what she wants and can challenge and push him.
He has no idea why Sloane has signed up for FANTA-C but he is determined to make it a night neither will forget. Neither count on the chemistry that immediately sizzles between them. If only Sloane dares to take a chance, she might just find out that Rome is meant to be her happily ever after.
This was a short , steamy, slightly kinky story that had me invested from the first to the last chapter.

This second book in the Steele Brothers series is just as scorching hot as the first, this time with a bit more dominant attitude from our male lead, Rome. Damn, where the hell can I get one of these Steele brothers for myself?

This time, we get to see a woman that is just as strong-willed-Sloane is a poker champion who rises to the top in a male-dominated field thanks to her own dominant personality. But we get to see the flip side of her here in Play Me, and the way she and Rome interact makes for some spicy tug of war...and a lot of intense, blistering erotic scenes that go even further than those from Catch Me (book 1).

My only lament is how quickly the story comes to a close as it doesn't truly feel like everything was fully wrapped up. I hope we get to find out more about Rome and Sloane (as well as Rick and Tara from book 1) somewhere in the next two stories.

Play Me was a 4-star read for me, and is recommended to the 18+ crowd for explicit erotic sexual content.

4.5 Hearts
Play Me is book 2 in the Steele Brothers series. These brothers are all sexy in their own way. This is Roman's story. He's fairly new to town and is a dealer at the Bellagio. He has the whole "George Clooney" thing going on for him. He's sick of the women he meets in casinos so he signs up with Fanta-C just like his brother did. He's floored that he's matched with Professional poker player, Sloane. When they make a bet and he's in charge for the night, Sloane secretly loves that he's dominating. He isn't like other men that she meets. He loves what she does and isn't intimidated by her. But, can he let her go after one night? Will she be able to let her guard down and be played by Rome? I enjoyed this story! It's hot, but has a lot of emotion behind it.

The Steele brothers trilogy have got to be my favorite 1Night Stand series spin-off. I loved the sexual tension and power play exchange between the central characters. Roman and Sloane play off each other so well that I didn't have any problem believing they meet and take off to her room for a night of red hot intense BDSM. If these two didn't end up together at the end of the book I would have made it a point to boycott Jennifer Probst.

Short read of BDSM m/f play but so worth every penny I spent to read it. Can't wait for the next one.

I fell in love with Rick Steele in the first book of this trilogy. So when I started Play Me I tweeted Jennifer and said "Getting ready to start Play Me. If Roman is as half as hot as Rick, I may spontaneously combust!" Well an hour later when I had finished I tweeted her again"Holy Hotness, Batman!! Get me a fire extinguisher!" If this book doesn't heat you up, I don't know what will! Love the light BDSM play between Sloane and Roman. And I love how Jennifer always writes her heroines strong, not every backing down. And her heros never disappoint!

I don't love short stories, but as far as short stories go, Jennifer Probst did a fabulous job. I like the premise of this matchmaker who connects soul mates under the guise of a 1 night stand. This one was particularly good with two alpha type characters. I like strong women, I like strong men...I love when they find a way to use their strengths to make it together. These hot alpha males make the stories nice and steamy!! Onto the last book in the trilogy!

This review is for the audio book version.

I wasn't sure what to expect when I began listening to this book. The premise was very interesting - a service that connects people with similar interests for a single night of no-strings attached sex. Not an escort service, not actually a dating service, but more like a "vetting" service that makes sure all of the similar boxes are checked on the application before it pairs people up (who have paid a pretty penny for them to do so).

I discovered that, while I love a hot and steamy sex scene that advances the story scattered throughout a book, I don't particularly enjoy a book that is nothing much more than one long sex scene. Well, technically, that's not true - there was the thinking of what the sex would be like, then the actual sex, then talking about more sex, more sex, thinking about even more sex, more sex...you see where this is going. I needed more character development, more fleshing out of their personalities and less actual flesh! Color me surprised.

Narrator Matthew Williamson has a very pleasant voice. Unfortunately, I heard very little change in tone when the chapter changed and the POV switched from the male to female protagonist or when voicing the female character from the male character's POV. It made it somewhat difficult to follow who was thinking or saying something.

And the between chapter "whooshing" noise was both a little surprising and concerning as I thought there was something wrong with my Kindle. Plus it did not make that sound between every chapter.

**I received a review copy of this title in exchange for an honest review. This id an audiobook review**

Story: This is the second book of the Steele Brothers series. You do not need to listen to the other titles to enjoy this one. This is erotica more than romance,so if you are uncomfortable with that level of heat, this is not going to be the book for you. It is for me,so this was a delightful story between Sloane, a famous and skilled card player, and Rome, a card dealer. They both sign up with Fanta-C, hoping to let off some steam and have some fun,but they found,oh-so-much more!
This is a novella-length read, perfect for when you want to have a quick listen.
Rome and Sloane’s chemistry is off the chart and even though it’s a short story, there’s a lot packed into it,with a satisfying resolution. If you enjoy this author’s work, be advised these books are way spicier than what she usually writes but not less satisfying.

Performance: Mr. Williamson is a new narrator for me. Although his performance is technically perfect, I am missing something, and I can’t quite figure out what. The erotica/erotic romance genres are notoriously difficult to narrate for and Mr. Williamson achieved a good balance, but I am missing the spark that would make this an outstanding narration.

That is a sensuous story fit to carry away the reader who enjoys an engaging and exciting plot.
What may happen when two strong people are determined to win in an opulent casino in Vegas?
Sloane Keller, a successful card player, is a confident and headstrong woman who learned to survive in a world where defeat is not an option.
Roman Steele, an experienced dealer, is a man who craves a woman to challenge his dominate side, someone able to match him on every level and fulfill his need for dominance and surrender.
For both, game is like foreplay. Both play hard. Both never give up.
Could they survive a one-night stand and win a battle of wills where the control for survival in life and in bed is the key? Would they take the leap and play the maximum bet in order to hit the jackpot?
We cannot stop reading the book until we get to find what these answers are.

This series is hot! But it's just not about the sex. Jennifer Probst brings in Rome Steele, the second of the brothers and he wants more than his usual partner. He wants a woman who will not only submit in the bedroom, but challenge his intellect. Recommended by his brother, Fanta-C may the answer to his cravings. When he finds his chosen woman, he is smitten! Sloan Keller is a poker player. Smart, determined and beautiful, this woman could not possibly be the answer, could she? She doesn't seem the type, but time will tell! What a fun, steamy listen! Probst has delivered her fantastic writing in an unrushed story, with great characters and incredible chemistry. Matthew Williamson uses his voices to bring it alive for us with his stimulating narration! It may be quick, but it will leave you happy and satisfied.

Play Me is book 2 in the Steele Brothers series by Jennifer Probst and is definitely another HOT book! !

Roman Steele is out to find a woman who is strong, independent, kick ass and beautiful but so far he is only becoming frustrated until his brother talks him into doing a one night stand through the FANTA C club and comes across none other than Sloane Keller who is at the top of her game in the World of Poker. She is a strong, independent, kick ass, beautiful woman who wants a man that is all of what she is and can show her that letting go can be a fulfillment to her dreams.

Can Roman and Sloane find what they are both looking for in each other and have their HEA or will it just be that Sloane is too much for Roman to handle???
