Review:

"Easter Holiday" by Nell Dixon was a cute and sweet romance novel. Posy Carmichael's occupation was a journalist for The Outdoor Life Magazine and had been given a Easter holiday assignment that required that she do a review on a campground located on the High View Farm in Cornwall.

The funny thing about this assignment was that Posey had never been camping. She was a city girl from the city...and she was told not let them know of her identity until the article had been written and submitted to the magazine. Upon arriving at this location in Cornwall,l Posey meets the brother Noah and the sister Emma....(the main owners). Everything seems to be going fine...was their something going on with Posy and Noah? Well how will this play out?
All goes well until.....Emma finds out who Posey is and who she works for. Noah had been previously been engaged to a girl named Jessica (city girl) and that had been called off...due to the fact she could not be trusted. So, Noah took the stand that no 'city girls' were not for him.....he was a farm boy!

When Emma and Noah find outs what Posey's occupation is and who she works for... this made Noah feel justified in believing that no city girl can be trusted because Posey had not let them know exactly why she was there. Now, how this all plays out...you are simply going to have to pick up "Easter Holiday" to find out. Will this author be able to work her magic and get these two people together?

"Easter Holiday" is a short story that was sweet, easy to read and cleanly written (no swearing) and I would recommend this for a good read.

There were only a few characters in the book but others were alluded to. Posy was a bubbly personality who always saw the bright side of things. Noah, a farmer, had a more pessimistic view of life especially after his broken engagement to a city girl. His sister, Emma, also had a large role in the story.

The story took place in Cornwall, England where Noah’s farm and his family’s campground was located. He and Posy hit it off immediately and while Posy wanted to move full steam ahead, Noah kept pulling back. The book was only 69 pages but a lot was packed into it. The descriptions of the sea, the shore, the town and the campground made me feel that I was there.

There was an abrupt ending so much so that I didn’t realize it was the end of the book until the next page on my Nook was an about the author page. There was a happily ever ending, at least for the short term, but there was a possibility for so much more. I would have loved better closure by either extending the book a few chapters or adding an epilogue.

I have not read books by Dixon before but look forward to reading others. There was an excerpt for Making Waves that was set in New Bay, a town that was visited several times in Easter Holiday along with some of the same locations and people. It whet my appetite to read more.

Easter Holiday is a fun, sweet and heart warming romance with a few bumps along the way. I liked Noah right off the bat. He is so real and a good guy. Posy is a city girl on her first camping trip. I was laughing so hard when Posy was wearing high heels to go camping. This is a clean romance filled with just kissing and no swearing. I only wish Ms. Dixon would write book two. I want to see how things play out with Posy and Noah. We are left with a happy ending but I would like more.

I was pleasantly surprised that when the book opened with a city girl heading out to the country to camp for the holiday the rest of the book wasn't all about her troubles camping on her own. Although Posy is initially portrayed as a city girl unable to hold her own we find that she is anything but that. Noah, who comes to her rescue that first day, also finds himself surprised when his sister invites Posy out with them for dinner that evening. Not only is she smarter than he thought but he finds himself attracted to her. Having sworn off city girls after getting his heart broken by his ex-fiance Noah tells himself to stay away from Posy. The more he tries to stay away the more he finds himself wanting to spend time with her. Posy starts developing her own feelings for Noah and quickly finds herself unable to understand why he is being so distant. You'll have to read this one yourself to see how things turn out!

I received this book free of charge from Astraea Press in exchange for my honest review.

Posy is a city girl and she is a journalist. Her boss gives her task to writing about High View Farm and for that reason she goes to camping there in Cornwall.
When she arrive near camp to pass a tractor she stuck the car, but there is the tractor driver Noah who helps her and show her the way to the camp. Actually Noah’s sister Emma is owner of the camp and no one knows why Posy is here. Noah and Emma are hospitable and kind with her not only as a guest in the camp but they have become friends to her. There are the sparkles around Posy and Noah and they kissed. Then Emma finds who Posy is.
What will happen?
You will find out if you read this short, sweet, romance book it will take only hour or two of your day.
Yes I think that this short book is sweet and easy to read. The characters are so realistic and I felt like I already know them.

Hott Synopsis:
Noah can’t help but grin as he pulls the city girl out of his hay field. He may have chucked when she got out to to help in her heals. But when he saw her pepto-bismol pink tent he laughed right out loud. This city girl plans to camp for a whole week? By herself?
Someone obviously needs to talk some sense into her — but it absolutely won’t be Noah. He’s sworn off city girls – especially the gorgeous ones – since his fiance walked out.
If only he could stay away.

Hott Review:
I ADORED every second. I’ll be reading this again & again!

ENA'S REVIEW
Another holiday related title with "Easter Holiday". The cover is ok and I think would appeal to the target market well enough.
Again as well as the holiday theme we still have the romance theme. Noah is the local cornish farmer who is suspicious and stand offish not wanting anything to do with city girls. Even though previous experience tells Noah to stay clear he is drawn to Posy. Posy is of course exactly what Noah doesn't want....well his head says he doesn't want but what does his heart say about his feelings for Posy?
Once again a brilliant novella and a definite 5/5!
