He longs to love and to be loved. Just as these werewolves begin their life together, Lennox is captured. Will he be saved, or will his life end just as he is finding love? ** A Siren Erotic Romance
I liked Falcon for some reason and Lennox didn't make me annoyed like Edric. First half of story was very hot and after Lennox was kidnapped and rescued,I did't get any details in the story about Carter and his pack.Did I miss something ?
The reoccuring theme in this series that really irks me is the fact that these "Omega's" are coming from extreme traumatic/abusive experiences ( except for the first book). What I dont understand is how could someone have their hip, knees broken, black out, lost track of time, whipped etc for over days; go from that extreme to wanting sex the day after they are rescued. Granted the healing properties that came from shifting but it was just too much.
This was a good addition to the series, with a slightly different plotline. While Lennox, the omega, was just as abused as the previous three, the way the new inner circle treated him was more considerate. It makes sense, since the rescue network and the other omegas would be able to guide new alphas and betas better.
The guys in this book were really likeable. Hugo goes out of his way to help Lennox, and leaves adding any betas up to him. That is a very nice touch. Blair and Falcon are just as sensitive as Hugo, in their own ways, and add a great note of playfulness. I missed the role of Lennox's special abilities a little, there was more of that in the previous books.
As ever, if you're looking for a light, fun read and are in the mood for some senstive, loving main characters with a VERY healthy sex drive, or just want to know what happens next in this series, you will probably like this book.
There was just something about Lennox's story that really got to me. I know that all the omegas have suffered abuse, but Lennox's was so bad it left his body physically damaged and his wolf hiding so far down that he couldn't get to him. It really grabbed me the level of hell he had endured. Hugo is his first savior but Blair and Falcon are quick to follow for all of them. This mating made me very happy and I was so glad to see it!
Refer back to my review for "Tristan" as almost all of Joyee's books fit the comments. They are great for first-time readers who are dipping their toes in the M/M genre. I remember that I enjoyed her very much and her works sent me on a search for more. As I munch through this series you will find similar postings.
If there is anything missing in this novella's it is some meat. I don't mean cock..there is plenty of dick to go around - enough for everyone no doubt. It's the depth of the stories that really could be kicked up a notch. Another 100 pages would make for an amazing read because you could feel like you really know the characters - and more depth could be had in their background, future, or current various areas.
The other thing is these omega's in this series act like 12 year old girls with their on again/off again drama. It's not the insta lust/mate stuff here it's the way they jump to conclusions, have hissy fits, and seem to exist in the "woe is me" space. It's just not very attractive. I was so very much hoping Lennox's story would have more detail on his captivity. The problem (it doesn't) is that it is all tell and no show which leaves the reader distant from the character and the story. You just never get over it. This was the best of the bunch so far - and there were memorable and excellent moments so I rounded up. But I'd challenge the author (s) to dive deeper - way more show, far less tell, 100 more pages. You'd have a much larger fan base.
Wow, best of the series so far. A couple of the previous stories REALLY had me rolling my eyes, but this one, while still a definitely guilty pleasure, has characters that tone down the whiny, needy twink and the big, manly "obsessed with carrying twinks around like babies'. Though still there, definitely (what would Joyee Flynn stories be without it?!), this one isn't nearly as bad. Lots and lots of sex, but I think this one was the best so far. It gets an extra half star for that, and again this will remain one of my guilty pleasure authors.
I love this series. There are 11 books available right now and I have them all and there is definitely enough characters and story for more! The author takes full advantage of the fiction genre and comes up with some fanciful stories and relationships, plus there is enough angst with the Omega they each should have their own full-time psychologist, instead they have 3 hot, sexy men to help heal them.
Hot - all the stories are m/m/m/m and full of angst, sex and love. The overall story line takes a big twist in #9.
Absolutely LOVED this addition to this series. Lennox was such a tormented character that managed to come out on the otherside of it with a great love. Hugo was strong and really was a wonderful Knight in Shining Armor. His efforts to make sure Lennox knew he was loved and wanted were nicely done. Blair and Falcon were great characters and awesomely matched with Hugo and Lennox.
Can't wait for the next book. Awesome Job Joyee!!!
Extreme abuse receives steady and strong Alpha care
This series is a guilty pleasure that's my personal escapist crack. It's over the top and sparsely written, but for me it's the perfect combination of simplistic "rescue the abused Omega" feel-good stories interspersed with usually very hot 4-way menage scenes.
This entry has the results of extreme abuse of an Omega wolf that is slowly, patiently, and (as per this series) relatively simply addressed by a steady Alpha.
Liked the story. The characters were really interesting. Hugo was so kind and adorable. Lennox though abused comes a long ways. The quick turnaround by Lennox was a little jarring though. With the amount he suffered I would think it would have been much harder, with lots of set backs, for him to recover.
A nice addition to the series. If you've read the other stories in the series you'll pretty much know how this one will go. Lennox life story is an interesting read but I couldn't help but think it wasn't as bad as Carson's life story in book 2. Overall it's a fun read but has it's ups and down throughout the story.
This one was phoned in, obviously. The sex was meh, the plot was A) obvious and B) rushed and the characters never developed. I kind of liked this series, when it started, but this is the end of it, for me. The quality of the storytelling (and the sex) has been on a steady downward trajectory and if this isn't the bottom, well, I'm not going to buy any more to see how far down it goes.
think this will be the last one I read from this series as it's just got to be so boring now. I enjoyed the first two but the last two have had little meat to them and this one just seemed like a short story with the second half being set up for future books
I don't know why Joyee Flynn has switched to 1st person writing but it totally ruins the whole book for me. How you could write a menage a quatra (MMMM)romance from only one persons point of view and find it entertaining is beyond me.
Good one-time read. Lennox has one of the hardest backgrounds. His salvations happens at a good moment, but then it goes too fast which was a "bit" unbelievable.
