M/F BDSM
It would have been better for me if I would have read it when I was reading the novels.
I couldn't find the free version so that frustrated me. I ended up buying Cantrips: Volume #1 which had other short stories included, that frustrated me as well to flip through the 2 that I wanted to read.
This short story was a bit sexy, the Queen Vampire's control over her servant monk, but no longer my genre.

The dynamic between Daegan and Gideon is just so GOT-DAMN swoony.

If you're familiar with Vampire Trinity you know as part of Gideon's return to Anwyn and Daegan he agreed to share Daegan's bed alone. Ms. Hill was kind enough to give us a short detailing the events of the boys' time together. Anwyn is on a shopping expedition with Lady Lyssa leaving the two together. Gideon is still struggling with his feelings for Daegan especially submitting to him. Gideon struggles with his feelings period. Always.
One-on-One does not disappoint and I'm a huge fangurl of DAG. Gideon's humor never ceases to entertain me. He's soulful when you least expect it and it can take your breath away. Daegan puts him through his paces in his Daegan way-takes him completely apart then puts him back together again. Anwyn does return at the end & there's a beautiful scene with all three. Just lovely.

Fuuuuuuck...... That's all I could think as I read this. I can't ever get enough Daegan and Gideon and after this I'm just yearning for more! Anwyn is one lucky little bitch!!!
I could FEEL the tenderness and love flowing between the 2 men and it was sublime.
I really hope we see more of them in the future. Especially now, after Gideon has finally accepted his place as being the super glue that holds them together. His realization of just how much they love him touched my heart. I want to see how their relationship continues to mature and deepen.
And of course I also want more of the best vampire fucking ever written!!!! God, how I wish one would sink their fangs deep into my neck...or thigh...anywhere. This series has made me so disappointed that vampires don't really exist. Lol

It's been a while since I actually read this one but I remember loving it. I like M/M action and this didn't disappoint.

Gideon is my favorite Joey W Hill character and I have followed his story despite being not at all enamored with the hardcore BDSM aspects of the Vampire Queen world. I loved his relationship with Daegan and always hoped that there would be more to their story, so I was thrilled to have stumbled upon this free story. This is better written and edited then most of the often pricey books in this genre. I enjoyed it up to a point though. While I loved the interplay between the two men, I'm just not comfortable with the whole slave thing, and some of the scenes were just a bridge too far for my more vanilla tastes. The only way I can square it in my mind is that a good case can be made that the master is every bit as owned by his or her slave as the slave is owned by their master.

Was so excited for this I couldn't see straight. I had just finished the Vampire Trinity and was ready to move on w my life despite feeling robbed of their scene in the actual book.
So this set everything right in the universe but the emotional charge was so fucking amped up I didn't know what to do with myself most of the time. That being said, it's deserving of the highest rating. Count on Joey to never disappoint.

My favorite novella or book in the Vampire Queen series that I always go to when I can't find something else to read. Embarrassed to say that this is my "comfort series" that I can get into without stress to get past a book slump, and this one is the top out of it. Would love to see another book or novella featuring this duo.

This short story is a perfect addition to Daegan and Gideon's story. While reading Vampire Trinity I always feel a bit betrayed that this story was not part of the book, but it is so nice, that all is forgiven.
Gideon will always be testing Daegan's hand and making him work for it. The way Gideon never actually has any chance, yet Daegan respects his dedication and potential is so humbling. Daegan is always portrayed as the big bad, from a race that has 0 tolerance and respect for humans. Gideon has a past that would be reason enough for Daegan to just delete him, and yet Daegan respects him while not taking his bullshit and it is absolutely amazing.

I don't how I missed this but so glad I found it. This was a brilliant little follow up of our favourite alpha males. I had tears in my eyes when Gideon finally voiced what he feels, and in the scene where he kneels by the fire pit. Brilliantly written as always, I hope we get to see these characters again

HOLY HOTNESS! This story was all I was hoping it would be times ten. When Daegon and Gideon come to get her for some male on male action, it's AMAZING. Few words are needed to express how intense, sexual and emotionally this bonding is. A must read. Thank you Joey, you are AMAZING!

Hot and intense. We finally have Gideon and Deagan alone and the air is cracking with sparks.
I loved their interaction and Gideon's submission - sweet and tough at once. The sex and Ds aspects between two males is pure pleasure.
If you loved The Trinity than this one is a MUST.

OMMGGGG, I'm not much of a fan between m/m but this had me from the title. I love Daegan as a strong alpha male, the apex of alphas, but Gideon.....he makes my heart all mushy. This trinity is one of my absolute favorites. And this book is icing on the cake!
