Oh, my God! What did just happen?
I love when I pick up book and have no clue what it's about and fall in love with it. This one is definitely on my to read agin list!

I loved this book so much that I know it is already part of my reread list.
A love story, a few mysteries and a fantasy fairies story out of the blue are tangled together and they produce an irresistible book.
Niall, Taylor and Roo will fall in love. No, this is not correct. Actually Niall was already in love with Taylor and then he fell in love with Roo. And Roo fell in love with Niall firstly and then she fell in love with Taylor. And Taylor was lusting over Niall and Roo but he fell in love with them only in the last part of the book. It may sound confusing but everything will make sense when you read the book.
Oh there were so many things worth mentioning in this book:
-the incredible settings with the British countryside and the house being next to a forest in Leeds
-an enchanted forest and a parallel world full of fairies
-a story you will not see where it will take you until you are already there
-three people complementary each other and finding happiness
-lots of laughs and crazy situations
Loved them all!

Well this book was hot, hot, hot and steamy. With an accompanying good and interesting storyline and a happy love story kind of ending. I was very pleased with this.

Without doubt Barbara writes some of THE BEST M/M/F stories!!
Worlds Apart is a paranormal/fantasy about the power of love following the journey of Taylor, Niall, and Roo. It is set in a country home in modern day England with a magical portal at the bottom of the garden.
I absolutely LOVED all three characters. They had me rolling with laughter, swooning and umm other stuff ;0)
So...how did they meet...
Taylor moves back to his estate with a view to sell it, finds Niall living in the house working as the gardener and caretaker. Without giving anything away..they quickly bond...and....
Roo turns up for a job interview at Taylor’s estate, believe it or not, dressed as a chicken! She seriously stole a piece of my heart then and I wish I had a Roo in my life cause it'd never get boring!!
Roo falls for both men seeing Niall as an angel and Taylor as the "devil".
So this is where their journey begins...one crazy HOT ride with twists and much laughter along the way!!
I kind of hope Jonas gets a book (If you read this Barbara you know you need to ;0)!!
Oh and I laughed out loud at the Reference to Cowboys Down: "She'd read a sexy story about a cowboy and an English dude where the latter had dropped beads and it had saved his life.."

This is a fabulous book!!! Worlds Apart by Barbara Elsborg is a MMF story about the power of love, and it is also a paranormal/fantasy book with the focus on a parallel faery world with a portal in an English walled garden. The story starts out in modern day Leeds, England but things are not always as they appear. Ms. Elsborg weaves together the captivating main characters of Taylor, Niall, and Roo with heart and humor. While Taylor’s action at first are enigmatic, we eventually see what his problem is and he’s just as lovable as Niall and Roo.
I would say that the length of this book is novel-plus (at least in the MM world) and it is totally worth the read. The story is a bit complicated and it takes a while to figure out what’s what, but from the very first Roo and Niall are hard to resist. Roo is a quirky and somewhat neurotic woman who finds it hard to stay on task because her imagination runs away with her. Roo also often has diarrhea of the mouth. She is desperate for a job and shows up at Taylor’s estate for an interview dressed as a chicken and she had me laughing from then on! Niall is in love with Taylor and living at his estate as the gardener, but Taylor seems to not realize this fact. Roo is captivated by both men in an angel and devil kinda way.
I don’t want to give away too much, but if you enjoy MMF or like MFM and have never read any MMF, this is a way to get your feet wet so to speak. The sex scenes sizzle and had this reviewer panting a few times. Also, if you like paranormal/fantasy stuff than this book’s has all those elements especially toward the end. The secondary characters, Niall’s family (especially his brothers) and Jonas (Taylor’s business partner) are ones I want to read more about. I hope that this is the beginning of a series for Ms. Elsborg and I will be they first in line for the next installment!

This book has a terrible official blurb. It does not do the book, or the characters, justice. Which is an absolute shame. If you like M/M/F ménages, then just ignore it and have a read for yourself.
Having said that, this book was a good read. It has so much I like -

Took me a while to get into this one, and figure out where the hell it was all leading to, when I finally did, it hit me this is all paranormal, I've never read paranormal before. Started off a lil slow, with 3 different POV that at times , I got a lil confused as to who was the MC, at that moment in time , I loved Roo, loved her, she stole the show for sure, insightful, witty, sometimes a bit of an airhead! Taylor, he's a total loaf, I didn't connect with him, he just seemed heartless, self centered, but towards the end it made sense why he came off this way, Nialli, well what's not to love about him? He's the whole package. My first MMF story, I wouldn't really say it was MMF, it's hard to explain the whole story! I loved the writing, I plan to read more by this author, she writes a perfect story weaving in the real story slowly, to keep you there, and asking yourself what the hell is going on, not your typical predictable storyline , which I am growing tired of !

Less gratuitous sex then the other book by Ms. Elsborg that I read earlier today (ooops yesterday) and it was so funny!
I really love her characters. They're not just cardboard cutouts that roughly mark the place a character would exist and they have, you know, emotions and stuff that ACTUALLY DRIVE THE PLOT!!! XD
It would have been great if it was shorter - not from any real desire that I have, just for my own convenience, because then I would have gotten more sleep!!!
I like the quirky female characters, but I must raise the specter of far-too-similar-quirkiness. I didn't notice it between these two books, but I'm reminded of Amanda Quick and her formulaic books. I loved them, don't get me wrong, but in the end it was like reading the same book over and over and over again. I got tired of it. As I read more of her books, I will up date the far-too-similar-quirkiness-METER.

I want to give this book 4 stars, but just can't. The writing was good, I liked the plot, it was very interesting and quite amusing! However, it was so sappy at the end I nearly gagged, and the love conquers all shit was just tooo fucking much. It was too hokey, too prevalent, too blatant, too fucking stupid. If it weren't for the message' I'd have really liked this book. But there was just too much preaching type of messaging in the book for me to enjoy. And I didn't like the ending. I thought it was lame and another sum it all up in last pages book. I hate that. I didn't get through hundreds of pages of 'real time' to then get gypped by a slam bam at the end!

Roo has a very convoluted thinking process (yet it made sense) and I haven't laughed so much with a book in a while. Plus it's excellent Barbara Elsborg writing and an mmf romance. Yum. This is actually quite a long book and it started to drag near the end but I think it will be a reread.

It took me a bit to actually get into this book if I'm honest. I did quite like how the characters were so willing to sacrifice so much because of their love for one another. That mixed with the steamy bits made this a good book.

Fun. Alluringly mysterious. Creative, sexy scenes with delicious build-up. Bizarrely, believable fantasy. A compelling pinch of trouble and angst, but a heaping cup of feel good. Written like a boss!

Ugh, this book is a mess. The plot is pretty much incomprehensible - I'm halfway through and there's still not any coherent storyline. I know from the blurb that Niall is supposed to be cursed or something, but what that's supposed to mean isn't very clear in the book. The romance is unconvincing, although the sex is decent. So far the word "bi" has appeared once, and not actually being used by a character who might possibly identify as bi, although the word "gay" shows up plenty of times. Personally, I prefer m/m/f menage where both of the guys are at least a little more comfortable with their sexuality going into it. What made me give up, though, was the scene where Niall is like "trust me, I don't have STDs and can't get you pregnant," and Roo is like, "sure, ok," and then we find out that Niall actually has no idea whether he can get her pregnant or not. JFC. I like some good poly/menage, but this was not my cup of tea.

I went into this book blind, not realizing that there is a strong fantasy element. I was intrigued by the mystery of Niall. The author did a good job at dropping tidbits along the way, allowing the reader to gradually piece together what is going on. I adored Roo. She is a really off-the-wall character who constantly had me chuckling. Taylor, well, he was mostly a giant ass and even though an explanation for why this is, was eventually given, it still didn't mitigate his generally terrible behavior. I have no idea what the other two saw in him beyond his good looks. Along the way, there are also several investigative cases and a few hot sex scenes.
There really isn't much of a relationship arc. It is pretty much instant love but since this is essentially a fairy tale, it didn't really bother me. There was certainly no shortage of things going on to keep me engaged. I would be happy to read another book set in this world. Also, the writing is more than decent.

Sweet and occasionally funny polyamorous romance with paranormal/fantasy elements. The heroine is so ditzy and quirky in the beginning that you suspect her of having some kind of condition, but she turns out to be smarter and more competent than she first appears. The only real quibble I have is that the poly situation is never really addressed until they are all just suddenly okay with it, when they've all previously been secretly fretting about being attracted to the "wrong" person. I'm also wondering a bit about all the cold-hearted mothers. But aside from that, the romance is given its time, the dialogue is great and the sex scenes are hot and really well written.

I rated the book 4 out of 5 stars, bc overall it had all the elements I like, but omg Roo was like Bridget Jones on steroids! If she was a real person, I'd put a picture of her in the dictionary next to the definition of a DINGLEBERRY! She was so obnoxious that it was hard to imagine her in any of the sexy situations in the book. I enjoy some humor makes it to my sex, but Roo was too much of a disaster for me in a lot of instances throughout the book.

I seem to find myself on a threesome trend lately with this book and one other that I just got done reviewing. This one, despite the flighty female lead, was a better read. Perhaps I was able to buy the whole threesome thing with the fantasy twist you get about 2/3 of the way through the book. The characters themselves were much more fleshed out with deeper backstories. There was some unfortunate eye rolling at the insecure chatter Roo seemed to default to in tight situations. And the whole chicken costume thing was a bit much. If there was a sequel to this, I may be tempted to pick it up to see how these characters grow through the years.

Somehow missed this book and picked it up two days ago. Absolutely love a ménage story, and with Ms Elsborg’s snarky banter and mix of laugh out loud moments and real heart-jerking scenes, this was another winner.
Now to wait patiently for my birthday monies and treat myself to the paperback.

Come to My Garden
I agreed to buddy read with a friend and had no idea what to expect here. There is a slightly mysterious element wafting as Taylor who has just extricated himself from a dead end relationship agrees to prepare his parents home for market. Upon arrival at the family manse he is unnerved by Naill’s domestic activity in addition to Naill himself. As we spend more time with them their chemistry is so apparent it would have been enough to take you through the first third of the book, but we are introduced to blundering, irresistibly, lovable Roo. Roo breathes life into the storyline that you didn’t realize was needed until she appears. While Roo can’t decide which of the gents she fancies, they alternatively can’t decide between her and each other.
Once our star trio got past the intro stage, things really speed along as they get comfortable with each other and sex is introduced into the mix. There was so much emotion and chemistry surrounding them that all of their actions felt right in the moment for them. The background mystery is solved within the first half of the book, but isn’t resolved until later. To my thinking the resolution was accepted a bit too readily for those who had so much to catch up on. The paranormal elements aren’t introduced in the beginning of the story and feel natural when revealed, so much so that thinking back to the beginning you note how cleverly they had been hinted at. However once they were introduced we got more than enough twists with paranormal elements to go on with. I think of this story as well written mystery or thriller with intoxicating erotic elements laced into smoldering sex scenes with a paranormal rider. So the story overall seemed a little busy at the end with some elements tossed in for effect rather than purpose.
I also enjoyed the “private conversations” various characters had and the paranormal element that had been teased from early in the book of course comes out in its glory. All of the story mechanics were top notch though I would have been happier with a faster pace and more even distribution of twists. Although this is the first book I’ve read from this author, I would read more and would be pleased to revisit this world again.

Upon arrival at the family manse he is unnerved by Naill’s domestic activity in addition to Naill himself. I don't remember why I had this book on my "to read" list but I was looking for something to read over the holdiays and thought I'd knock it off of the list and I actually enjoyed it more than expected! The cover art should have alerted me to the level of steamyness that was contained within but I was still surprised (and not in a bad way). However, I really feel that the story could have been pulled apart into two and was enjoying the writing that I found myself wishing there was more to the story.
Taylor is a PI who's a little down on his luck and has nothing to show for it but a string of failed relationships. When he moves back to his family's home to manage the sale of the estate in his parents absence, he meets Niall, the gardener who is staying at the home rent-free in exchange for groundskeeping work. Niall is eager to please and mysterious while Taylor, who keeps Niall at arm's length is confused about his feelings towards him. When the two work together to hire a replacement for Taylor's assistant, Roo enters the picture. Hilariously aloof and prone to talking too much both men are drawn to her even though they know they should stay away.
The plot of a PI and his assistant getting into all sorts of situations feels entirely stand-alone in this story and at times you forget there's a supernatural element. Niall is not of this world and has been around Taylor's home since his childhood, though Taylor has no recollection of Niall prior to present day. As their relationships evolve with eachother, and with Roo, Niall's history begins to surface and exactly what he has sacrificed to be near Taylor becomes clear.
