[Siren Everlasting Classic Erotic Alternative Paranormal Romance, M/M, shape-shifters, HEA] Seth McGavin moves to Brac Village to care for his nephew Oscar after a house fire claims Oscar’s parents. He doesn’t expect to find Chance Lakeland, and he certainly doesn’t expect to fall for the tall, handsome man. Chance Lakeland seems to be blowing it with his mate, Seth. He can’t seem to say the right thing. He can’t even seem to keep his mate safe when it seems that, at every turn, Seth is being threatened, or even worse, hurt. When Seth is attacked on several different occasions, Chance has had enough. He tries to convince his mate to move in with him, but Seth is adamant about keeping his independence, even at the cost of his safety. Seth doesn’t go looking for trouble, but it finds him at every turn. Can Chance convince Seth to take a leap of faith and trust him, or will Seth run into the wrong man and get himself killed? When one of Seth’s attacks proves more dangerous than anyone thought possible, things begin to change in the paranormal world. ** A Siren Erotic Romance
Lynn Hagen loves writing about the somewhat flawed, but lovable. She also loves a hero who can see past all the rough edges to find the shining diamond of a beautiful heart.
You can find her on any given day curled up with her laptop and a cup of hot java, letting the next set of characters tell their story.
I liked this one, we get to visit some of the past people in this series. There is a part with Sloane and D, totally had me fooled, thought it was going in one direction and was wrong,(at least for now, things change a lot in this series) Seth does have a hard time accepting this new world he is thrown into, makes some really dumb mistakes, we are use to seeing them (the mates) accept the paranormal world, and here we see someone struggling. (maybe like it would really be)
I was glad about the last line in the blurb " things begin to change in the paranormal world." wasn't about "Another" new evil guy they are up against. Just a new twist to something they are already dealing with.
i can't wait for Abe's story, looks like one of D's brothers is next then Riley, hope Abe's is after that.... lol.
This story was amazing! I loved it, although I wanted to smack Seth around quite a few times. I understand what he was going through, but even I wanted to choke him.
This was book 27 in the "Brac Pack" series. This was another short quick read in this series that I liked a lot. This book had a lot going on in it. Chance Lakeland has watched some of his brothers and even his twin Chauncey find their mates and it's his turn. Seth McGavin has come to Brac Village to care for his nephew Oscar who lost his parents in a house fire Oscar was also hurt he gets a job at the diner where he meets Chance. Seth doesn't know that he is Chances mate. Seth and Oscar live in a one bedroom apartment next to the police station he has some creepy neighbors. The book had a lot going on in it Sloane is arrested for hit and run in another town and D risk his live to go see his mate. The club that Christian owns is bombed with three of the Lakeland brothers in it Chance catches the person who did it he also saves his twin who is hurt in the club and also D. When he tells Seth that he is a bear shifter and that he is his mate Seth doesn't take it so well and things begin to happen to him like he is attacked by a rogue vamp and his upstairs neighbor is a serial killer and it turns out the guy that lives across from him is a FBI agent he thought he was the weird one. This was a really good read all Seth wanted to do is protect Seth but he kept running away from him. This was a good read with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.
Another nice addition to the Brac Pack series, this one doesn't only have two main characters struggling with being mated, it also has a few unexpected twists and turns. The development in the bigger story is fascinating and opens up many more possibilities for the future. This is a direction I have not seen any other series or shifter story take.
Seth is the first mate who has real issues with finding out there is a shifter/vampire/God-knows-what-else world out there. Some of the other humans were surprised or shocked, but Seth is outright traumatized. He makes mistake after mistake, and while it made me really impatient, when I sit back to think about it, it's probably far closer to how most men would react. By the time the really big shock hits, I really felt for him.
Chance is not exactly the most sensitive guy, but he loves Seth to pieces before they are even mated. He is strong and protective but needs to learn a lot about dealing with a mate and all his issues. Luckily, he has his family to help him, and eventually he does get the picture.
If you like this series, are looking for a new twist, and want to read about a human truly struggling with all the paranormal world entails, you will probably like this book.
I loved all the surprisingly great twists and turns in this one and enjoyed the other paranormal leaders Christian, Panahasi and Zeus being mentioned in the storyline too (along with Maverick of course). Can't wait for the upcoming books because of all the new developments :)
Fact #1 Abe is fey Fact #2 Abe is going to a club packed with vamps Fact #3 The club is a feeding ground for vamps Fact #4 There is no sweeter blood to vamps than fey blood Fact #5 Fey's scent can't be masked Fact #6 Vamps aren't in control of themselves when they smell fey Fact #7 Author has plenty of inconsistencies in this book yet again
I am reading these series from the beginning and there are a lot of mistakes made, people who don't read the books back to back wouldn't notice them but because I'm reading them fairly quickly and sometimes a couple of them a day I notice this stuff. Author doesn't remember what she wrote and she pulls out a half-assed scene that's fairly similar to something she vaguely remembers writing.

Seth is just like Tater and I'm not a fan of both characters. He's easy to freak out and giving Chance a headache and misery. I felt bad for Chauncey , he never be the same after the incident.
Well, I delved into the Bracverse a 2nd time and now there are 121 books - yikes! I loved this Universe the first time I read it several years ago and now I love it more, I really do, but I've only been able to read these series (and I have expanded to all the books that are currently out in each): Brac Pack Christian's Coven Zeus's Pack Demon Warriors The Exiled
These are the series that start the Universe. Reading them in order is a must. Each book has it's own love story but there is an underlying story that plays out throughout them all. As you get towards the end of these series, other series come into play and I noticed that, since I did not read them, I missed some of the characters being mentioned (good and bad) but I was still able to follow because the main ones stay the same.
One day I WILL buy these and read them all!!! (For the correct order, just look on the Internet for Lynn Hagen Reading Order): Brac Village Shadow Tribe BPNG (Brac Pack Next Generation - Brac Pack kids) The Remus Brothers Wolves of Desire
Everyone was adorable in this. EXCEPT Seth! The guy makes all the stupid decisions out of pride and jealousy and puts himself and Oscar at risk. He has lousy instincts about people to trust as well. Granted so many things were dumped at him at one time so he is in shock BUT COME ON.... Going back to where you were attacked by a vampire because you are jealous Oscar seems to adore Chance more than you? DUMBASS!!! his tantrums were also extremely irritating.
I loved the interaction between Oscar and the Lakeland family as well as the love and bond Chance and Chauncey share was so touching. Yup, the twist on this one was fantastic too.

Eh. I’ve read worse by this author, but these series have now officially progressed to the point where they’re a) only readable in order between the entire lot of them, and b) grow more and more depressing in the overall plot. Not making me particularly happy, that. :P
As for the protagonists here, Chance was sort of okay, while Seth… Oh, he kept flipping out. I understand that he was stressed and overwhelmed but it just felt overdone. Plus those killer/hunters got away and were never mentioned again, so what the hell?
Strange amassing of psycho killers in a single book, really.
Okay, so we can convert mates if they've been attacked by someone infected with Liquid Wrath now? Is that a Mate thing, or would that apply to anyone who was attacked?
Convenient, is all I'm saying...
Otherwise, the creepy Serial Killer/Federal Marshal story was kind of odd (aside from to highlight the fact that you really can't judge by appearances).
Granted that I will read any Brac Pack book, good or not so good, this one was a good one. It had a good plot with some twists and turns and we were able to see quite a few of the other series characters.
I liked all the great twists and turns in this one and enjoyed seeing the other paranormal leaders Christian, Panahasi and Zeus. I know that Seth saw and went through alot but his character got on my nerves.
This one had me grinding my teeth. Seth was a damn fool this whole book. Oscar had more sense than Seth and I was hoping Pa would give Seth a smack down.
