SERIES: Blood Magic #2 (not a standalone)
GENRE: paranormal romance
TROPES/THEMES: vampires/witches,
CLIFFHANGER: yes
RATING: 4⭐
SONGS: Shawn Mendes- In my blood
Noah Cyrus ft Leon Bridges- July

This book continues where book one left. We are following Tegan six months after she left her small town. After she is found by Finn and asked for help in the case of a kidnapped girl, she returns home. There are waiting for her some old friends but some foes too.

I liked this book much more than book one. The story flows nicely. Tegan is gathering alliances around herself. There is a possibility of a love triangle. Hmm.. The mystery and fight between good and evil are present too. A little bit of betrayal for a greater good.. There is an excellent recipe for the next book in a series...

L.H. Cosway continues her paranormal series Blood Magic with this compelling story full of fascinating characters, thrilling action and surprising revelations.

Plot: After being forced to leave her home town and everyone she cared about, Tegan decides to come back to help find a little girl who’s been kidnapped by vampires. But in order to do so she must face and deceive Ethan. Can she locate the girl and get away with the lie or will she fail or worse yet loose Ethan’s trust forever?

Heroine: Tegan continues to grow stronger in body and mind. She discovers aspects about herself and her past and I continue loving her attitude towards life, always facing it head on even when it presents incredible difficulties.
“I didn’t realize how dark it was the last few months until you walked into the club tonight and lit up the entire room.”

Hero: Ethan continues to show his feelings towards Tegan and I love him even more for it. But I have to wonder if they’ll ever be able to be together?

Feels: I loved every single moment of this book, from the drama and heartache, mystery and suspense, and of course the relationship development between Tegan and Ethan.
“I long for the day when I don’t want you anymore, lumina mea. Perhaps then, I’ll have the courage to walk away.”

I really enjoyed reading about the secondary characters from the previous book, the shift in dynamics was interesting and had an important impact on the plot. I won’t say much about Wolf, only that I loved his addition.

As with the previous book, this story was gripping and leapt off the pages with its descriptions and left me craving for more.

Facts: Moonglow is book #2 of the Blood Magic series by L.H. Cosway. It's told from Tegan’s point of view with a cliffhanger ending. Genres: Paranormal Romance

This was SO GOOD!
We got to get a little bit more background about this paranormal world L.H. has created, and the rules and rulers that govern it.
We also got to get to know Tegan a little better as well as Finn, Rita, and of course Ian.

The ending.
My Gawd!
I want the third book now!

Great read!
Great characters!
Great writing!

Things are really heating up for Teagan. As she answers the call to help one side of the war that is currently taking place in her home city, the circle around her grows. The fact that there’s no way of ensuring if these characters could be trusted or not had me on the edge of my seat a good portion of the book.

Teagan is definitely stronger, fiercer, her body more toned. Watching her take on every obstacle as she began to grow in her talents was awesome. I’m dying to know exactly how much more she’s eventually going to be able to accomplish.

Wizardess Heart fiction — Vampire's Blood

This has a bit of a love triangle feel to it although it’s not the main source of the plot. While I’m not a fan of this, it’s pretty obvious who she’s going to end up with (I hope!) and I'm curious how it’s all going to play out.

With drama, mystery, action and angst lining every page, this book added to my enjoyment of book two right before it left me eager for book 3. The good news: book 3 to be released soon!

Trust is built, broken, and betrayed, danger is everywhere, blood is spilled, desperation and despair. This was much more emotional, heartbreaking at times. Oy, what a cliffhanger !
Six months after book 1 ended we meet up again with Tegan. She has settled in, working trying to move on till a sexy Irishman shows up. He’s determined to bring her back, a little girl is in great danger and they need her to help save her. How ? her connection to the vampires, Ethan. Man, this girl can’t get a break. To keep her safe she stays with Finn and Wolf. This brings on a whole new possibility to the story. There were some interesting moments. I did feel for Ethan, he thought, well he thought and it wasn’t the deal at all. Read it you’ll see.
Let talks about Wolf my favorite character. He’s been a supportive furry little friend, always there, cuddly. His story was left hanging off the cliff. I can not wait to get to book 3.

Hmm, what to say about this one…

Well, I enjoyed it for the most part (although not as much as I did the last). It just, I don’t know, nothing felt fully developed. All these plot points were being thrown at us but they didn’t feel like they were being dealt with properly. As interesting as I find this series, I’m not sure if I’ll carry on reading. Im certainly curious about what’ll happen but I don’t think I like the writing enough to justifying buying the next one which is a real shame. We’ll see.

Sometimes it’s hard to do the right thing, but man, it’s even worse when doing it means deceiving someone you have feelings for and who has feelings for you...which is just where Tegan finds herself in this chapter. Of course, this isn’t the only thing that Tegan has on her plate and I have to say, this book definitely kept me on my toes and that ending...well, just when I thought Tegan and crew would catch a break...more crazy pops up.

As for Tegan and crew: I already liked Tegan, but this book made me like her even more. I absolutely hated that she deceived Ethan, because I am totally #TeamEthan, but I loved that once she was in, she was all in. Add in dealing with a whole slew of other things and I gotta give the girl credit for not running.

The rest of the crew: Totally Team Ethan, even though I did want to Gibbs smack him a time or two or five in this book. Rita and Alvie are still my ultimate favs, though Delilah, Lucas and Gabe definitely stepped up. Finn...I don’t not like him, and he did get brownie points a time or two, but...and I seriously need more of Florence. As for the newbies ~ I’m looking forward to seeing what happens with them in the next two books!

"How are you here?"

Explosive! Magical! Thrilling!

Where Nightfall whet my appetite for more Blood Magic, Moonglow has utterly entranced me and sucked me into its powerful vortex. This! This is what I only dared to hope for when I invited L H Cosway into my heart to toy with my emotions yet again.

Tegan Stolle is buffeted by competing loyalties and causes. She ran away from Tribane to prevent supernaturals from abusing the power hidden in her special bloodline. But her vampire slayer friend, Finn, needs her help to save a ten year old girl. Her vampire "boyfriend" (they don't have an actual label for their deep and fated flirtations) Ethan Cristescu wants her back. Her dad has gone missing. And, her outcast witch friends, Rita, Alvie, and Noreen, could use her help with all the political turmoil that has taken place in Tribane since she left. So Tegan makes the trip back home, into a powder keg of danger, intrigue, and desire! Like I said, this one is explosive!

After laying a beautiful foundation in Nightfall, L H Cosway lets loose an intricate, seductive, and entirely captivating tale of lust, greed, prejudice, and virtue. Ostensibly, a battle is waging in Tribane due to betrayals unleashed by the reappearance and then re-exiling of the sorcerer, Theodore. But the new vampire governor, Jeremy Whitfield, has even more sinister motives. Together, he and his exquisite and equally evil spawn, Eliza, made me want to scream and find my own vampire slaying stake. Ethan made me want to drool with his unbridled attempts to get Tegan into his bed. Tegan made my heart grow three sizes with her determination to save the girl, save her friends, save her dad, harness her newfound magic, protect Ethan, let Ethan down easily, wait ... Tegan has clearly been overextending herself. But I love her. I love her, so much! She doesn't feel at all like a dumb heroine who has taken on more than she can handle. She feels like she CAN do it all. This is what I love about this writing! It's the fifth star I wanted to bestow. The MORE that I needed. Not an ounce of disappointment here.

When I was offered the opportunity to read Tegan's Return I jumped at it! L.H Cosway has really impressed me with her novels and I have been instantly addicted to all of them.
The synopsis gives a pretty good summary on what we are to expect in the follow up book and thankfully, Tegan's Return did not disappoint! It was great to finally find out what Tegan and the crew have been up too.

I felt that I could get completely lost in the world that Cosway created in Tegan's Return. It had a perfect mix of Vampires, Witches, Dhampirs and Vampire Hunters to create the magical and mysterious supernatural world.

The characters have definitely grown and matured since the first novel. The vulnerability and low self esteem that Tegan felt after the death of boyfriend was no longer there, in place of that is a more confident and sexy woman who "has curves in all the right places" (Finn,Chapter two). The sadness is still there but this time, its sadness towards not being able to speak to her dad and close friends when she left.
All the gang return including some new faces. The flirty Finn and his bodyguard dog Wolf, wise cracking Rita and Gabriel. All the Vamp crew, including Delilah, Lucas, Dru and the super sexy, charismatic Ethan Cristescu.
The relationship between Tegan and Ethan develops and deepens to a more intense affair. Tegan finds out that her leaving caused heartbreak for Ethan.
Tegan's feelings are conflicted, she wants to open up and be honest to Ethan about her true reason why she returned to Tribane but she also wants to help the young girl who has been taken. During her time with Ethan, she fears that he will find out and will never want to see her again.
Ethan continues to be persistent with his attraction to Tegan. He has a protective nature towards her and claims her in front of Jeremy, who is the Governor of South Tribane and wanted to claim Tegan as his blood donor:

"I'm afraid Tegan's ownership already lies with me, Jeremy"

Ethan is seductive and he would drive any reader insane. I definitely have no problem with his blonde hair anymore!!
There are some new badies thrown in the mix. As mentioned above, Jeremy is the new Governor of South Tribane and his quest to gain power, a war has broken out between the North and South. His daughter Eliza is a menacing character, a real bitch if you ever meet one. Her jealousy towards Tegan makes you want to scratch her eyes out.
One of the surprises for me, was Delilah. She truly comes of age in this book and it was great to see her step up in the game and kick some butt!

The ending leaves you speechless, honestly I keep flicking through my Kindle thinking I was missing pages. I was so disappointed that it ended so quickly.
So much drama and mayhem, it instantly makes you want to find out what happens next.

Overall, this is one well written book, it was a joy to get wrapped up in the flow of the plot and characters which is a testament to Cosway's writing skills.
Most people say that you can't get any better then a first novel or movie but I beg to differ. Cosway has definitely succeeded in creating a magical and intriguing world, which hooks you instantly and makes you not want to put the book down...literally!

At the end of Nightfall Teagan leaves Tribane for good, having no intention of returning despite the fact that she left her heart behind. Six months later, she finds herself back in the city to save a little girl, and jumpstarting her heart again. When Ethan discovers her plan, it may ruin them once and for all but she is determined to save the girl despite the danger and risk to her heart.

Moonglow gives us more mystery, more magic, and more romance. I am loving the way this series is going. It keeps getting better and I can’t put it down. Teagan goes on a mission to save a little girl and she is thrust deeper in the world of magic. She soon finds there is someone close to her who needs her help and she the danger comes at her from all sides.

I love getting more of Teagan. She is figuring out more about herself and learning more about her abilities. She starts seeing different sides of the story and her heart is torn in two as she has friends on both sides. Finn is trying to save the humans and Ethan is now second in command of the vampires. Two sides fighting against each other and she is stuck in the middle.

I loved getting to know Finn better and Ethan is swoony as ever. These two are so different but are both so important to Teagan. You can tell they both have feelings for Teagan but at this point it is clear where her heart lies. I loved that there is more romance in this book and Teagan and Ethan start to turn up the heat. However, by the end of the book my heart was in shambles and I am desperate to see what happens next.

I love the mystery, suspense, and fantasy in this series, and I know we will get more of everything I love in Witching Hour. The whole series is exciting and I am eager for more of this world. Bring on the magic!

Moonglow by LH Cosway
4*
‘He brushed his thumb over my chin. “Anything for you, lumina mea.”
Something fluttered in my chest. I glance to the street at the end of the alley, where cars
paused by out on the road. “What does that mean?2
A fond look entered his eyes as he caressed my cheek. “It’s Romanain for ‘my light’. I didn’t
realise how dark it was the last few months until you walked into my club tonight and lit up the
entire room.”’
Although I found the first book of this series to be a little disappointing, I think book two definitely
redeemed the story for me a little. There was more action, a more elaborate and exciting plot,
where things were starting to heat up and get very interesting. I found, especially with Tegan,
that the characters were more well-rounded, their dialogue flowing smoother and more organic,
rather than the stilted and cliched conversations from Nightfall. Each player seemed to find their
groove within the overall plot.
I was more engaged, more captivated and enthralled with this book. The romance was more
mature and explored beautifully, with some great tension between Tegan and Ethan. There is
no doubt that he is a very charming, very sweet and very mysterious hero. Just as Tegan is
coming into her own, with her confidence, assertiveness and courage. It was a fun,
supernatural adventure with lovely elements of love and romance imbued.

Second book in the Blood Magic series and
I’m loving it more and more. I liked this Tegan much more as she showed a real growth since the first book. Despite the fact some events, even if necessary, made me sad, I am just as excited for what’s to come.

It seems a lot happened in the six months since Tegan left Tribane. Allies have shifted, new players are known and even with all those unknowns, I could feel the connection between Tegan and Ethan. There’s clearly a lot more going on between the two and I am very much intrigued by it all. I was also happy that not much changed in my favorite characters (looking at you Gabriel and Rita - mysterious and sassy for the win !)

As always, great writing and entertaining plot. Some of the new characters have me really intrigued as I can feel they’ll have a bigger role to play in the future books. That ending left me reeling though. And I need to get my hands on the next book as me devouring it is a definite certainty !

Set six months after the events in Nightfall, Tegans story continues as she returns to the mysterious town of Tribane to help vampire Slayer Finn, rescue a kidnapped child.

Well things have changed a bit in Tribane in Tegans absence but I liked how she reconnected with her human and supernatural friends, despite the difficult situation she agreed to be put in with regards to the delectable vampire Ethan. These two have such a spark together and although their attraction intensifies during this book, they have an awful lot to overcome, none more so than the events at the end of the book. With their stark differences I'm wondering if they can ever find a way to be together? I hope so, I like them both! There was progression with Tegan and her abilities which was good to see, I was hoping there was still more to her and her bloodline to come. I'm intrigued as to how that progresses, also with Ethan and her relationship with Finn! However, part of me would have liked a bit more depth and detail overall, as there was so much going on.

With some great secondary characters, there was mystery, suspense, betrayal, magic and mystical powers, bloodthirsty vampires, wicked warlocks, reveals, revalations and more danger with the battles for supernatural supremacy. I enjoyed this easy to read story and look forward to the next installment!

This series just keeps getting better and better!

Even though much of what happened seemed to wrap up at the end of book one, Nightfall, I had a feeling that there was still much more to come.

Now that Tegan is aware of the supernatural world and her part in it, she is planning on staying far away from Tribane. Everything quickly changes when Finn the vampire hunter shows up asking for her help. What follows is nice mix of action, magic, romance, and family drama.

I can't wait to find out what's going to happen next!

I found this second book just as absorbing as the first, as the author continues to build this world and we discover more secrets and mysteries.

The slow burn between Tegan and Ethan is captivating, as she battles with herself about the wisdom of getting involved with him. Allegiances are made and broken and then reformed, as Tegan fights for what is right whilst she struggles with her conscience and her guilt for betraying the man she’s come to really care about. Moving swiftly on to book three!

OMG! Moonglow is even better than I remember!

It’s even better than Nightfall!
I could not put the book down. You just cannot get bored or slow down. I was actually annoyed I had to go to work 😂
I really like the fast pace for a change, where I don’t have to read 2 pages long description of a river or something other.
The slow burn romance between Tegan and Ethan is just exquisite. Ethan... *swoon* (Finn is not so bad either).
I truly love all the characters in this series and I wish I had them in my real life as friends (thinking of Rita and Finn). How cool would it be to have a powerful witch as your best friend??

I don’t want to spoil the story, you can read the description and decide for yourself. Let me just tell You that there’s MUCH MORE happening in the book then you could possibly expect!

Happy reading! 🎉🎉

I found Moonglow definitely much more intriguing story than Nightfall—a few twists here and there and I was hooked.
Even though I was not a fan of the mutual attraction between Finn and Tegan when I was reading the original version of this book, this time around, I came to enjoy it very much. We can’t have Tegan dropping everything and everyone and run into Ethan’s embrace whenever he says so, can we? ;)
I suppose I should say that I can’t wait to see what will happen with Tegan next, but all of these characters are so likeable and imperfectly-perfect, I can feel the need to shout at certain author to give me the rest of books now so I can appease my curiosity.

I devoured book two in one sitting! I was just waiting for Ethan and Teagan to reconnect. But when Teagan returns to town things are different from when she left. Alliances have changed and those she calls her friends are on opposite sides of the track so to speak. I loved the building relationships and the discoveries Teagan made about herself. Once again we are left with one heck of a cliffhanger. I can't wait for book three and four! I need more Ethan and Teagan!!!!

I was surprised over how much I enjoyed reading the first book in this series.
After the way Nightfall ended I was super eager to read Moonglow.
Some of the things I liked best about this book was to see how Tegan discovered more about herself and how the friendship with Rita and the others grew.
And then there is Ethan - I just know I need the next book ASAP!

My Thoughts

Vampires, Witches, Dhamphirs, Vampire Hunters & more…this series has it all for paranormal fans. But most importantly, Tegan’s Return is completely captivating, suspenseful and well written. L.H Cosway has expertly delivered another fabulous adventure in her Ultimate Power series.

I can’t say character development, plot or structure is best in this novel because this author has strength in all areas and demonstrates those strengths equally.

Great lead-ins to future novels and many potential directions the series can go all equally intrigued and resulted in my wanting more.
________________________________________
About the story…
________________________________________
This is where I usually give an explanation of what the story is all about; however, the author summary does a fine job so I won’t say too much. There are only a couple of things I’ll add to the backstory.

Unbeknownst to the human population, the city of Tribane is home to a whole array of supernaturals (vampires, dhamphirs (half human, half vampire), warlocks, sorcerers and slayers. The strong animosity between the races caused the city to be divided down the middle with vampires on one side and dhamphirs, magiks and slayers on the other. However, since Tegan left, that animosity has turned into a full-scale war.

The other thing is that Tegan’s blood holds special powers that, if discovered, would put her in major danger with vampires and magic wielders. Her blood could give them the ability to eliminate some of their major weaknesses. So you can see why she ran and stayed away.
________________________________________
About the Characters…
________________________________________
Our heroine, Tegan, is very easy to like. She’s not perfect by any means but she does the best she can with what she has resulting in a compelling and realistic heroine. She’s not an in-your-face kickass kinda heroine but she’s brave, someone you can relate to and would want as a friend.

Ethan is a hot as hell and very charismatic vampire. Very alpha. But despite their intense attraction and her feelings, Tegan puts him in his place often. And he has some competition this time that completely aroused my curiosity as to what Tegan would choose to do.

There’s a whole group of ‘misfits’ whose antics lead to quite an entertaining dynamic. Villains aplenty, and there’s some new faces as well.

So there are a lot of characters involved in this adventure but the author portrays them all and delivers the events so expertly that it was never overwhelming.
________________________________________
Bottom Line
________________________________________
This is a novel/series that any lover of Urban Fantasy and Paranormal Romance will want to check out! The author has created a great story world, suspenseful plot and showed her expertise at creating multi-faceted and compelling characters. She’s very adept at delivering all the elements of her paranormal story in a balanced and well-structured way. I highly recommend you add this series to your To Be Read list!

Incredibly addictive! Always more endearing characters which I had absolutely no desire to separate myself with at the end of my reading... An adventure too short so much I loved it!

I must admit I've always been apprehensive to read the second volume of a story that I was absolutely thrilled with as it was the case in "Tegan's Blood." I had discovered an imaginary universe well proportioned. There was a touch of supernatural, one of suspense, a magical one too and a sexy and sensual love story, all packaged in a black and realistic adventure. An explosive mixture which had left me quite shaken by the emotions that this book had awakened in me.
Because reading a good novel is one thing... Find a book that completely immerses you in a world where you do not tire of being, one where you would like the story to go on and on... This is much less common.

Like the heroin, I felt some chills anticipating my reunion with the other characters. But it is the feeling of familiarity that enveloped me like a warm shawl that surprised and pleased me the most.
Places like the Crimson, Rita's home were making echoes in my imagination. Ditto for the Gabriel's timidity, Rita's sharp tongue, Finn's teasing and playful humor or Ethan's sensual bewitching charm. It was like meeting good friends again after a long time. As a reader, it's the feeling I cherish the most...
As for Tegan even if she has changed, after two years spent away from Tribane, she is calmer, more mature. I liked the new force that inhabits her, as well as her daring side and her new James Bond girl's attitude and powers. So I succumbed again and in all sincerity to the charm of this story.

Obviously, LH Cosway holds some surprises in store for her readers: New villains who makes you shivers like in the "Underworld" series or "The Fearless Vampire Killers" by Polanski . Some new faces are endearing and surprising as Wolf, Jennifer or annoying as Eliza.
As for the plot, even if the story is populated by vampires, witches, dhampirs or spirits, there is always this darkness and this realism with references to World War II, racism from the North and South and the endless struggles for power. Not to mention the attraction between Ethan and Tegan that becomes deeper and more complex than ever. Finally, a harrowing, intriguing and exciting cliffhanger that promises a lot of new adventures to come in the next book.

I was thrilled, excited and I honestly do not know how I will hold until next year to know what will happen while I devoured this tome in one day, forcing myself to take breaks to make my pleasure last a little longer.
I stay super fan and I highly recommend "THE ULTIMATE POWER SERIES."

The second book was better than the first.
I just couldn't see how Teagan could have such disregard for Ethan and his feelings.
She jumped in to save a stranger which was ok, but she didn't even pause to think how it would affect Ethan.
I questioned her method and motivation behind.

I hope that Teagan and Ethan make up in the next book.

= = = Update = = =

I re-read the story from Mar 22, 2013,

Tegan is so selfish to leave the city of Tribane for two years and not contact her dad or best friend, Nicky.
She does not even think about paying Ethan back for the $5,000 loan to help her move to Manchester
but she gives $1,000 to Nicky.
And, who is she to think that she can save someone in two weeks?
She has no conscience about using Ethan.
She does not care that her betrayal may cause him any harm.
Tegan did not need to return.
Finn and the other vampire hunters could have watched the Governor of the South and staked out his house.

Tegan says : "I hate myself" way too many times in my book.
I mean if the main female character hates herself so much, why would the reader Not began to hate her too.

Tegan: " I steel myself, and try to remember that Ethan deserves to be betrayed for what he allowed to happen to Amanda".
Really, what did Ethan do, because Tegan suggested Lucas ask Amanda out when she did not know anything about him
and after his awkward first meeting.

Tegan stands around waiting for Ethan to make a move, and the thought of her apologizing to him never occurs.
He gets banished from the Vampire world because of her, loses his home and place of business because of her betrayal.
She could have pulled him on the side at anytime and apologized for hurting him, betraying him
and being the cause of his banishment but no, she blames him.
If he didn't accept her apology, then it would have been on him BUT no,
she would rather walk around acting like a sullen teenager.
I found myself constantly asking how old Tegan is, the answer 23.
Her constant childish behavior was disappointing.
Another reviewer said that she wished Ethan would find someone else and move on.
I tend to agree. Tegan should not be with Ethan nor Finn, nor anyone else.
She seems incapable of handling intimate relationships.
I hope she grows up before the series ends..

Having read and loved the first book in the Ultimate Power series, Tegan’s Blood, I was expecting great things from the sequel, and I’m delighted to say Tegan’s Return didn’t disappoint.

After the drama of the first book, Tegan is attempting to live a quiet life in Manchester under her middle name Alexandra. A mundane existence is not to be however with the arrival of the flirtatious vampire slayer Finn. He invites Tegan to return to Tribane and help him find the kidnapped daughter of his governor. This mission means Tegan will have to return to the vampire club Crimson to find Ethan Cristescu, the powerful vampire she fell for two years ago. Ethan is working on the opposite side of Tegan and she’s going to have to betray him in order to complete her mission. On top of this, her father has gone missing and Tegan is trying to track him down, fearful he has been taken for some magical and likely unpleasant reason.

Tegan’s Return is so well written it’s a breeze to finish in one sitting. The last page came much too quickly for me. Cosway is a gifted writer; she reminds me of Marian Keyes in her effortless ability to create vibrant characters that jump from the page yet still are normal enough to relate to, and like Keyes, her writing style is witty and fast-paced.

One of my favourite characters is the goth witch Rita. The curses and insults that fly out of her mouth had me in stitches. Tegan’s sarcasm and dry wit equally had me snorting with laughter, and once again I was pulled in by the sexy charisma of the Romanian vampire Ethan. I was pleased that we got to spend more time with vampire hunter Finn this time around. His constant flirting with Tegan would border on harassment if he was any other man, but we know he’s a good and honourable guy. His huge dog Wolf takes an instant shine to Tegan and acts like a bodyguard while she lives under Finn’s roof.

Magic and mayhem, witches, vampires and dhampirs (human/vampire hybrids) rebound through the pages and I enjoyed every second of Tegan’s journey. Now I’m impatiently waiting for the third book, which as far as I know won’t be out until next year! How am I going to last that long??

I love this series. I put off reading this book because I didn't want to have to wait a year for the next one. I get to then end and it states the next one will be out in 2013...NOOOOOOO! I guess I'm going to have to hold out and read Crimson (An Ultimate Power Series Novella) by L.H. Cosway in a couple of months to get my fix and to hold me over until the next book is released, sigh.

Tegan runs and leaves the country after she finds out in Tegan's Blood (The Ultimate Power Series, #1) by L.H. Cosway there is something very different about her blood; something vampires want very badly and slayers use to kill off anyone possessing this special type of blood. She leaves behind everything and everyone for two years. An old acquaintance appears out of nowhere and before Tegan realizes what is happening she is being whisked back to Tribane and caught in the middle of a war.

This book is like hitting paranormal pay dirt. I like books like this that contain everything. There are witches, warlocks, good guys, bad guys, shape shifters, vampires and humans with magical blood. The abilities of characters range from just learn magic to misting witches to powerful vampires. Tegan is in a class by herself and two books later we STILL don’t know her full abilities. The vampires are running things at the moment and they are really feeling themselves but when betrayal is committed the lines and sides start to blur.

There is a little sex, mention really because it fades to black sex. The author also uses European spelling. It’s going to be a long wait to see how things work out for Teagan.

Tegan's Return was captivating! Having read the novella Crimson and the first book in the series, Tegan's Blood, I couldn't wait to see how Tegan handles herself in this book.

Tegan returns after a 2 year absence because she is in danger and now she must figure out who to trust. The plot is action packed with a great amount of mystery and just enough romance to keep all audiences captivated! Tegan has to give great thought to the people she will keep close, help, and love. She has to make a decision based on morals and that may mean losing people. But how does one do that when they aren't really sure who she should trust with her life.

Tegan is not a female protagonist that waits for the man to help her. Instead she finds her own inner strength to make her own decisions and well her own mistakes too. Tegan's Return showcases how she has matured and grown into herself.

I can't wait to see what L.H. Cosway does with the third book of this series!

I was skeptical of this book, because I loved Anne Rice's vampire series, and then along came Twilight, Sookie, and the whole vampire diary uprising. I enjoy the vampire story genre, but I think it has been played out too much.... then this series found it's way onto my kindle.

I can not tell you how much I enjoyed this book and the first book in the series! Phenomenal story telling! I love there being the magical aspect without the author taking it so over the top as to make it too unbelieveable. The reader can actually visualize and believe that this other world exists right there in the human world without detection. VERY well written with likable (and not so likeable) characters. I read both books, and the Crimson novella, in 3 days and cannot wait for he next installment! What on earth will Tegan get herself into next??? Please hurry! :)

I love this book! I downloaded it as soon as I finished Tegan's Blood ( which started my addiction to this series). I love how Tegan's power is slowly revealed. I wanted more of Ethan and Tegan's interaction, to add a little depth to their relationship. I really wish Ethan 's feelings for Tegan was showed more often thru actions like calling her when she doesn't show up at the club as promised. I especially love how Tegan's angst is portrayed on this book, how she doubts the rightness of falling for a "killer". I have always loved romance novels and this book has the perfect balance of suspense and romance. . I can't wait to read the next book!
