This is a very gritty collection of Bizarro noir from literary mastermind Jordan Krall seemingly intertwined through heists, taverns and pancakes. It's exceedingly strange and rich with seedy characters and absurdly inviting situations. There's certainly something weird going on in New Jersey.
Okay, I know you're saying "not another pancake book," but Krall takes a now oversaturated genre and spins it with depth and originality. Just when you thought you'd never take a bite of a flapjack again Krall comes along and SHOVES IT IN YOUR FACE! YOU WILL EAT IT AND YOU WILL LIKE IT! Don't get me wrong, you get more than just pancakes but you'll have to read it to find out just what.
If you've never read any of Jordan Krall's work this is a good place to start. The price of this ebook is a steal compared to how your brain will implode upon reading it. Sweet, sweet implosion. So sit back already, put a fish bowl on your head and curl up with some Krall tonight.

This collection of short stories and poems was great. Fans of Squid Pulp Blues, such as myself, will be happy to read them. My personal favorites in this book was Black Boned Squid & The Big Snatch.
