Kelvin F Jackson (1969- )was raised in Long Island NY. After graduating in 1987 he attended SUNY in FARMINDALE.His bizzare world as seen through his eyes is brilliantly portrayed in his books. He currently travels the United States mentoring to troubled youth and inspiring through his experiences.
This was a good read, left a lot of unanswered answered questions. All his books far draw you into a the world of the characters he creates. I really ejoyed it.
I've enjoyed other books that I have read from this author, but this first installment was just not good. We are introduced to so many different characters that I don't know Joe from Schmoe. There was just way too much going on, and too many stories being told. I know this is just the first part of three, but this part was just not good enough for me to continue reading on. I'll be skipping the next 2 parts.
I wish I could give this book 0 stars. It was horrible. The book was all over the place. Tons of misspelled words. He was using the word "dam" fo the actual curse word. Not to mention, their were tons of grammatical errors and the punctuation was either in the wrong place or non-existent. The author also italicized almost a lot. The majority (if not all) the times he italicized something, it didn't make any sense. I will not be reading any of the sequels.
too many characters to keep up with...i got lost on what was going on with who. the ending was strange also, but im moving on to part 2maybe it will bring it all together.
The book is beyond slow. He introduced all these characters, but yet they do not link to each other in no way. Not the same background, not the same situation, not even the same friend of a friend of a friend. And i know that you have to make the character come to life by letting the readers acknowledge the characters history, but that all the book was was the characters history. This is the second disappointing book from Kelvin Jackson and I had put this book on the shelf, keep saying to myself that i was going to read it, the anticipation was greatly disappointment. This book is not even worth it being free.
