Again Grasshopper has written a moving story about growing up. Both boys sufferring but in different ways. Aaron spoke out and had to face his fears, while Billy kept quiet and suffered in silence.
While the ending might seem a little rushed for some, to me the true story was the journey getting there.
While this has a HEA ending it does remind us all that the struggle to get there is never easy.
OH MY GOD. I can't believe I found this book on Goodreads! I'm literally fan-girling now. I read this story exactly 2 years ago and my life totally changed.
This story is one of the most BEAUTIFUL ones I've ever read in my entire life. There hasn't been a story where I connected so much with a character as this one. This book gives everyone light and hope, that there is a happy ending after all. That if we're living through a storm there's always a rainbow beyond the rain, even if we cannot see it. The love here is pure, beautiful, magical, and absolutely inspirational. I probably cried more than 10 times with this book.
I might look like a heartless monster when I rate books I didn't like, but with this book it's totally different. It certainly changes you. It lightens you and makes you shine. Just like diamonds. This book is a diamond, and I'm glad so many few people have read this, because a treasure like this cannot be showed to everyone; it would lost its magic, its charm. Books like this should be kept in secret, because once you read it your eyes and your heart open. And not so many people are willing to open themselves. That is why.
This is such a wonderful and moving story. I have read it three times now. My only complaints are the few grammatical errors and the odd syntax at times. But the story is so well portrayed, and such a good story, I easily overlooked them.
The story at start made me feel like it was me thinking rhere I was lost in visualizing me there It was only when Aaron came to light I actually focused on story Nice read
