Nina Valentine is done with New York. After spending the last year struggling to make it as a painter, all she has to show for it are bills she can't pay. Out of money and sick of struggling, she decides it's time to pack it up and head back to her hometown in New Hampshire.

When she meets Ian Sinclair at her going away party, Nina's instantly attracted to his dark, smoldering looks and lean athletic body. When he asks her back to his apartment, she's willing to overlook the fact that he's a high-powered lawyer. It's just for one night, and guys as gorgeous as Ian don't come around every day.

Ian has never had a problem getting women into his bed, but after his hot night with Nina, all he wants is more of her. So he makes the curvy painter a deal - stay in the city for a few weeks and he'll take care of everything.

Nina agrees, even though she knows better than to get attached. He's a rich corporate suit, she's a struggling artist. But as the connection between them deepens and Ian takes her to places she's never been - both in and out of the bedroom - Nina doesn't know how much longer she can resist.

Isabel Morin

Isabel began reading romances at the age of fourteen. That's the year her grandmother came to visit, bringing with her a shopping bag filled with (very tame) Harlequin and Silhouette romance novels. Isabel was immediately and forever hooked. What could be better than experiencing all that lust and new love just by reading a book?

She earned her MFA in poetry, but meeting her soon-to-be-husband made her too happy to write her usual melancholy poems. It was time to try her hand at writing the kinds of books she’d been gobbling up for years. Now she writes steamy contemporary romances about men and women discovering their true selves while navigating their way to great sex and true love.

In her spare time, Isabel watches British mysteries, plays disc golf (it’s a thing), and religiously re-watches Dirty Dancing. She lives in Connecticut with her conveniently tall, dark, and handsome husband.

★★★★! Tempt Me by Isabel Morin, a sexy, feel-good novella about a struggling artist meeting a sexy playboy & high power attorney for one night of passion that turns into more!

“Taking a long pull on his beer, he contented himself with watching her while he considered whether he’d be able to get her to come home with him. Was it possible to steal a person away from her own going-away party?”

Hero: Ian Sinclair/30’s/Partner at Law firm/$$$/dark hair/blue eyes
Heroine: Nina Valentine/27 years/Artist-College degree/dark hair/blue eyes

Tempt Me is a brief story about a struggling artist, Nina Valentine who at her moving away party meets sexy, successful and elusive bachelor and high power attorney Ian Sinclair. Their attraction is instantaneous and with Ian being a playboy and Nina feeling reckless they decide to leave her party to share a night of passion. But one night of sizzling sex just isn’t enough for Ian to get his fill of Nina so he invites her to stay another couple of weeks so they can enjoy some more. The story follows them in and out of the bedroom for the duration of her stay.

“If you leave now I’ll compare every woman I meet to you, and none of them will ever be able to compete. You’ll have doomed every future relationship, in effect ruining the rest of my life. We have to let this run its course so we can have some mediocre sex, get sick of each other and go our separate ways.”

Three words to describe Ian: Charismatic, accommodating and mature.

Three words to describe Nina: Endearing, timid and progressive..

Tempt Me was an Amazon freebie. Novellas are difficult to rate because oftentimes there just isn’t enough room for character development and story line. That said, I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed Ian’s and Nina’s story. As brief as it was I still got a good grasp on them both and the plot was enjoyable, albeit somewhat predictable. Overall a fun, sexy and feel-good read. I am recommending! Well done Ms. Morin!

“She sat back on her heels, loving the way he looked at her, like she was the sexiest woman on earth. His eyes were heavy-lidded, his cheeks flushed. He pulled her up, his hands going to her hips to pull her in for a kiss.”

Definitely, I enjoyed the story. It's a sweet love story between a struggling artist - Nina and a rich lawyer - Ian. They met at a party, felt instant attraction towards each other and ended up spending the night together.

I loved how the author wrote the story. It got me hooked the moment I started reading it. Thought it's fast-paced, I still loved it. I was able to read through the thoughts of Nina and Ian since it was told thru both of their POV's. Nina is a struggling and broke artist/painter and decided to just went back to her hometown in New Hampshire after getting no such luck in finding a job in New York. She has a strong character but sweet as well. She stood up against her parents and pursued her dream instead of obeying what her parents want for her - profession wise.

Ian is a charming and gorgeous guy. A truly successful lawyer, who came from a well-off family. He never thought that after spending one night with Nina, he would be begging for more nights with her. Without knowing it, they both fell in love with each other.

I just wished it's longer though I can't complain since I got this for free from Amazon.

Great book. Fell in love with it....

I got this book as part of a free two-pack of short romances and it was pretty good considering it all happened so fast!
Nina is at her going away party...all set to leave NYC and head back home (with her tail between her legs) because she couldn't make ends meet in her chosen career as an artist...when her roommate introduces her to Ian, a hot and sexy lawyer. Of course they have an instant attraction and off they go to his place for a night of passion.
One night is never enough though...and that starts a series of dates and then much more as Nina realizes she doesn't want to go back to where her judgemental parents are expecting her to make a different choice in her career.
Several more things happen in quick succession and all ends as it should with a sweet HEA (for now) that seems to be very fast...but hey, it's a fictional romance and these things do sometimes happen in real life as well! There is going to be another book continuing on with their story and I am curious to see what that will bring.

**** 4 **** "an artist and her handsome wealthy lawyer" stars

3.5 stars.

Let me start off by saying that I really enjoyed this book for the characters, the story line and the hot scenes between Nina and Ian. The characters were great, they were likeable and the personalities were mature. They had an arrangement and even though they both began to have feelings for one another, they kept their emotions in check and were not over dramatic with their actions. The story line was believable (specifically how they met) and a change from most stories in which the main characters work at the same company- so it was refreshing.

The story was written in third person, which was different compared to most books that I have read in this genre- most are from the view of the lead women. I actually kind of enjoyed this because you were able to get both Nina's and Ian's view on situations rather than just one persons view.

The one and only thing that I did not like, which stops me from recommending this to other people, is the ending. It was abrupt and it kind of came out of nowhere. Here I was reading my kindle at 85% and BAM! It was over. I feel like the story could have continued and went on much further.

I picked this book up when I was scanning through the top 100 list of free books on Amazon and I’m so glad that I did. I like this story because it’s well written and combines a mix of romance and erotic substance. You are hooked into the story from beginning to end.

Isabel Morin is a writer who combines good writing skills with a good imagination which makes her work most enjoyable to read. Nina is a believable character, an artist who is struggling to make enough money to live on, and Ian is a typical business man who to begin with doesn’t seem to have time for anything but his work. An exciting story with a lovely ending, I just wish there was more of it.

I’m looking forward to reading more of Isabel’s writing and I would recommend this book to anyone and everyone.

I downloaded this from Amazon a while back and decided to read it to take a break from what I was currently reading. It was okay. It's short, with sexual content, of course. Although the descriptions are tame, nothing too vulgar.

This short novella was sweet to read. I would have like it to be longer but it was fine. It's a short romance between Nina and Ian (a billionaire, no big surprise here). Unfortunately, I found it predictable because this storyline with a wealthy man wanting more than just a one night stand with the heroine has been done many times already and this version didn't captivate me as much as some others did. I didn't found it really interesting and that's probably why I'm rating it 2 stars.

BEAUTIFUL LOVE STORY, I SO ENJOYED IT. LOVE SCENES BETWEEN IAN & NINA BURNED OFF THE PAGES. EVERYTHING ABOUT THEM WAS JUST SO HOT FROM THEIR MEETING AND ALL THROUGH THE ENTIRE BOOK. THIS WAS A SIMPLE STORYLINE BUT SO WELL DONE IT JUST SPOKE VOLUMES TO ME, REALLY TOUCHED MY HEART. THE ENDING WAS JUST AS I WANTED IT TO BE, I NEEDED A TISSUE BUT THEY WERE HAPPY TEARS. SIGH!!!

I really liked this story and the way it is written it is very believable. I know it is listed as light erotica but I did want more in the sex scenes. For Ian saying he had the best sex ever, I would've liked to experience that with them. A couple of scenes seemed to be going good then they were chopped off and they were over. Other than that it was a very enjoyable book.

The conclusion pulled together too quickly - as if the author was done with the story line and gave up on writing a good (albeit a happy) ending. I knew it was a short read, but the writing and plot was SO good I would like to know what happened to the characters.

Short and sweet! I really enjoyed the writing style. Seemed to flow better than most of the sorter ones you read (they can sometimes seem hurried or choppy). I will be looking into other books by this author to see what's out there.

I'm not a fan of romance normally, and this was especially dull to me. Who doesn't like a happy ending; but this didn't even give that. The ending it gave was to a temporary ordeal, having nothing to do with their overall circumstance.

This had me hooked from the start! Ian and Nina are opposites but somehow work. I like the shortness of this story as it was a nice and refreshing break. At the same time, I wish it was much longer so I'd get to read more about them. Worth checking out if you're in need of a quick read!

Loved "Tempt Me." This was a page turner. A little steam, a lot of awww. I loved, loved, loved Ian and Nina's love story. My only hang up - the editing could have been a lot better. I can't wait to read "Keep Me."

I've had this book on my kindle for years, up to 5 years maybe.

I have made my book resolution to read books of my old kindle this year as well as new books.

Tempt Me is short and sexy and Jay-Zeverything. It did seem to jump a bit and found myself having to flock back a page at times to make sure I haven't missed anything - but this could just be me.

Quick read that kept me occupied in the air con today.

Duh. I read this book because it was free. Now I know why it was.
I liked the actual story but I hate when it’s done in the third person. It distracts me. But there wasn’t any drama (bonus!) so that kept me interested. I don’t know. There was just something about the book that didn’t leave me wanting more. It was like “ok. The book ended.” I didn’t care one way or the other that it was over. Probably because nothing jumped out at you. The sex scenes were mediocre, at best, Ian was pretty boring, and Nina was too. There was no passion or even good conversations between them. It was, they meet, bang, move in together, “domestic bliss”. Aren’t these books supposed to be more romantic? So us married folk can live vicariously through the characters? Just a thought.

I enjoyed this book and when it finished at 85% on the kindle I was disappointed the story didn;t fill the 100%.

Thw writing wasn't great in places and it seemed to jump from person to third person...at one point very noticeably.

I short read of which I would have liked more but nevertheless an enjoyable hour or so to read it.

Nina is leaving New York and going back home as she can no longer afford to paint and live in the city.

A few days before she is leaving her flat mate/best friend puts on a leaving party for her in their apartment. Here she is introduced to the hottie Ian, a wealthy partner in a city firm.

Nina goes back to Ian's batchelor pad and the two of them are very happy spending time together and enjoying hot sex.

When the time comes for Nina to go home a telephone call to her mother frustrates Nina who is then very determined never to go home. Her room is ready to be let to another person so Ian suggests she stay with him for a few weeks and treat it as a vacation.

Nina and Ian are very happy as the new couple living together but both cannot talk about Nina's impending departure. Nina is invited for an interview in Chicago, not a great job as she would prefer to paint but it would allow her to live and still be able to paint.

The three days away in Chicago are miserable for Ian and Nina also realises what she has with Ian. On returning back from Chicago Nina and Ian talk and realise they need and want to be together and his offer to "keep" her so that she can do what she loves...paint....is accepted as she gets to stay with Ian and enjoy her passion of painting which she seems to be talented at as well as the passion they have together.

This is the kind of book that I just have to give five stars to. It's cute, sweet, steamy, and a quick, fun read.

Let me start out by saying that how can anyone not like Nina and Ian? They're real people - their characterization is flawless, in my opinion. Nina is a quirky artist who has the real life musings of anyone contemplating a one-night-stand, not to mention the excessive gives that Ian showers on her. We see her vulnerable side, her embarrassed side, her feisty side, and her sweet side. She is just so real. And Ian is...well...maybe not quite as real (as I have yet to meet a man with that much money, kindness, humility, and sex appeal) but still just a lovable character. He is sexy and driven, and the conflict of him being too stressed with work to deal with Nina is like real life. I love that the plot wasn't forced. No one suddenly had cancer or amnesia. It was all very real and believable.

Now is where I contradict myself a little and say the ending moved too fast - but thank goodness there were no proposals or babies or any of those super cliche endings. A declaration of love? I say, fair enough. In my mind, Nina and Ian were in love. They were adorable, and I loved reading about them.

I recommend this book, because I think it has about the right thing for anyone reading romance stories. It also is short - 2 hours and you'll be done with it. So what is there to lose, really? I think it was two hours of my time well spent.

This a shorter, but cute read. On her way out of town Nina is given a going away party with a bunch of people she doesnt know. One of whom is a damn good looking attorney who has his sights on her! Ian is a HOT attorney who runs his own firm and is loaded! At Nina's going away party he was just a tag along with a buddy. He sets his sights on Nina, but he has to keep her in town to have his way first. With nowhere to go and the room she was renting at her friends place already rented out to someone else, Nina is freaking out cause Ian has convinced her to stay,...but where?!?! Ian invites her to stay at his place, after all things are pretty H O T between the two as it is. Nina is looking for a job and although living in NY, she finds one in Chicago, IL. Ian realizes once shes on a plane bound for the windy city he doesnt want her out of his life. Does he loose her to Chicago or does she stay with him?? Not gonna tell you ;-) , but this book was free and might still be, so read it!

A shortish story, man/woman meets, she wants him, he doesn't want her initially, she's poor, he's rich, she's an artist, he's a successful business man, eventually he adores her, can't live without her, a very good love story, (nice to have the love as well as the sex) although predictable, predictable can be nice, good escapism, lots of good proper sex, believable sex so it keeps you interested! has an element of 50 Shades of Grey to it, and the sexual scenes in this book are far better, real and naughty, much better than '50 shades' as more realistic. I love to read thrillers and crime, but in-between like a good 'mummy porn' book, this wasn't unbelievable, Isabel Morin wrote this really well, i couldn't put it down, i struggled with the Mr Grey books. Great holiday read or just simple escapism, highly recommend!

This is a lovely short steamy story that will get you hot under the collar! The story of a whirl wind romance between Nina, a broke artist and Ian a successful lawyer that happen to meet as Nina is leaving the city. Meeting at her leaving New York party, sparks fly and the steamy romance starts. It has the usual ups and downs with added passion.

Written in both characters POV, it adds to the feelings and getting inside their heads.

I really like the story though I feel there could have been more explanation, like how did Ian wind up at Nina’s apartment on the other side of town. The pull he felt for Nina when he first saw her. And also how did Nina and Ian get back into her apartment! Also a good edit would do wonders to this book.

Would definitely read more from Isabel Morin and see she has two other book ‘Set Loose’ and ‘No other love’.
