The Bell from Infinity was an original novel published by Lancer in 1968, relatively late in Williams' writing career. It's not a bad book but doesn't really stand out among his other novels or from contemporary science fiction of the time. A group of heroic Earthmen, Martians, and Venusians are trapped in a subterranean environment (a favorite trope of Williams' work) and must locate and quiet a terrible weapon that's in the form of a huge crystal holding a bell that's destroying reality. They've got to learn to get over their misconceptions and work together or it's game over... I suggest The Exorcist soundtrack for background reading music.
