A matchmaker from an agency and a client who needs a wife. But Sparks fly between them and he is only interested in her. The story has a good beginning and some promise but is not fully developed. First the characters displayed qualities I like and I looked forward to reading about them. I was glad the heroine was autistic because this is unusual. However it was disappointing t canhat the characters were not fully developed. The story was poorly written with many mistakes. For instance saying she was high functioning Asperger's when by definition Asperger's means high functioning autistic. There were grammar errors and bad sentences. It was apparent either the the writer Needs help or there wasn't adequate editing or both. This was disappointing.
Short and sweet, this story will melt your heart, as Sophie struggles to perform her new job thanks to the man who is supposed to be one of her clients. Working as a matchmaker is never easy, but when the dynamics just don't add up, it makes it even harder. Given a difficult case and stressed upon that she's not to mess it up, Sophie goes about her job as best as she can. But when the surveyed becomes the surveyor, all bets are off. Carlos needs a wife quick, and only for a short period of time, so when he's given the information for a matchmaking company with 100% success rate, he makes the call. Little did he know just how much his life was about to change. A wonderful short story that you won't want to miss out on, this well written book is a charm.
The idea was one I thought I'd enjoy. It just seemed so rushed. There was no story. I mean I've read insta-love stories before and even enjoyed them. But this was ridiculous. They saw each other once.
I liked the characters and loved the dedication to children with special needs. My initial thought was that I liked the plot but then decided that it was just too much of a coincidence with the job and the volunteer position both suddenly involving Carlos. However, the main reason I gave it only 3 stars was that at times there were just too many adjectives. And I was so tired of "his sexy eyes" being used over and over, and really tired of every part of him being "delicious". I like adjectives but not so many in one sentence and not the same ones over and over and over. It almost seemed they were being added to meet the word limit and make this novella long enough. Only once were we taken into the bedroom and, fortunately, there was less description which is good. I am not used to novellas and found it all wrapped up too quickly. I'm glad it was a free kindle download.
the storyline had promise, but the writing was soooooooo bad. Every other sentence the author changed tense, if I had to read about Carlos' cologne one more tine I would have screamed (and did after chapter 9 and the millionth mention of said cologne. Oh, and it was mentioned a lot more during the rest of the book). The story was very repetitive and so juvenile. Sophie is supposed to be an adult but acts like a teenager. There is very little character development, and the stepmother is almost a non existent character. will NOT be reading this author again.
The books are too quick with barely a climax. There are some points that were good, but comparing to other books of the same genre, I feel this author could have put in a little more time with character development. The books had promise, but just not enough to warrant more stars.
This book was confusing at times. The frustration however was plentiful. The sex was minimal but not as hot. I was looking for combustion with Carlos but it never came what did come was major ups and downs that drove me crazy.
DNF 56%. I tried, I really did. Not much about this book was believable. At. All. The dialog didn't make much sense either. Add in the lack of commas and need for formatting and you got yourself an unreadable book. At least IMO. Wouldn't recommend wasting your time on this.
I was impressed that a novella would be able to touch on such a serious disorder such as autism. I really enjoyed this story and felt that the story and the writing was the best yet.
