Playing Four Keeps

Rate this book
If two’s company and three’s a crowd, then four is bound to be…deadly.

Special Agent Reese Bailey has a new assignment…one not under the jurisdiction of the federal bureau. She’s been hired to identify the person trying to kill the members of one of the hottest rock bands hitting the charts, and three of the hottest men she’s ever laid eyes on. Keeping her distance would be hard if she wasn’t certain they’d come to the same conclusion as all her past encounters…she’s just too different to make the cut.

Mace, Nash and Landon aren’t sure what to think of the incredibly smart federal agent who walks into their life, and into their hearts, they only know she’s the one they’ve been waiting for. It’s clear she’s a professional, not to mention a child protégé who can read their body language while figuring projectile paths in her head. And she’s not one to mix duty with pleasure.

But they aren’t taking no for an answer, not when their souls are on the line. Reese proves to be everything they've ever imagined and more. But the stakes are higher than any of them realize and if she can’t track down the stalker in time, the boys won’t be the only ones playing for keeps.

I’m just a small town girl, living in a lonely world. I took the midnight train…oops, sorry. Got off-track.

Author, hobbit, and crazy lady running in the woods, I’m either madly creating masterpieces in my dungeon, or out chasing Bigfoot with my dogs.

I see myself as unapologetically Canadian, and I love all things maple syrup.

Playing Four Keeps by Kris Norris was a sexy, romantic suspense story that I loved reading. Mace, Nash, and Landon are best friends and members of their own band and they are still recovering from memories of a horrible bus accident that occurred in the past that has left them celibate and still looking for a woman to share. When another accident happens while they rehearse, Reese, a FBI agent, who's recovering from her own injury is asked to look into the attempt on the band members' lives. Sexual chemistry sizzles between all the guys and Reese as she tries to protect them from harm. The characters were well developed and I enjoyed the friendship portrayed between Mace, Nash and Landon. I also liked that Reese was a strong, smart, gutsy, fearless woman intent on doing everything in her power to keep them alive and not caring if she was the one that got hurt. Her actions showed her deepening feelings was more than just about sex, it was about love and possibly having a future together. I could not put this book down until I finished it.

This is by far my favorite menage quartet ever (yes, I called them a quartet. You will have to read it to see why *wink)!! A fast paced, action packed, steam enducing erotic read that had me snagged from start to finish. I love the mind of Kris Norris and the sensual worlds she creates!

Nash, Mace and Landon are part of a hot popular band that have lived through a very traumatic experience and have changed drastically because of it. Reese is a single woman with a spine of steel; a heart just as strong and determined that has also recently been through a traumatic experience. She has been unable to work for some time due to an injury obtained on the job. She's asked to help out to solve and protect Trinity from an "admirer". Little do they all know what fate has in store for them all as they all embark on a mysterious adventure to solve the who of the person(s) behind many attempts to kill the Trinity.

I'm waffling between 3.5 and 4 stars.

I liked the story and the suspense. I figured out who the killer/stalker was about halfway through the book but I couldn't quite figure out why, so it was cool to see how it all played out.

I am always leery of books that have more than two men for one woman because I'm not sure how all the "good stuff" will really work, but the author seemed to have a really good handle on that, and the sex scenes were extremely steamy. Very yummy.

I took a few points off for the editing issues because but they were minor and not big enough to completely rip me out of the story.

This was the my first Kris Norris read. I liked her style so I'll definitely be reading her again.

I am not going to give a synopsis as the blurb and other reviews do a much better job of it then me...This is the first Kris Norris book I have read and will now be looking for more.

This was a sexy, action and suspense filled story that had me hooked from start to finish...and it took a bit but I did figure out who the bad guy was a couple of chapters before it was revealed....I really like when I am guessing through most of the book instead of figuring it out in the first few chapters.

I loved the fact that the heroine is a bad ass genius. Truly loved her. I also loved the mystery and suspense. I especially loved the sex.
