This book is the last book in the Magical Renaissance Faire Mystery series. The premise of the series is the faire is cursed so anyone with magical abilities is unable to leave. The books are focused on three main characters with each of the three penned by a different author. The main characters each have some type of magical power they use to solve murders. The main character of this book is Coriander the Conjurer, the new queen of the fairy realm. Cori is my favorite character in this series. She has gained confidence as the series has progressed, but remains just as good-hearted and kind as always.

When a murder occurs in the faire, it soon becomes clear that it’s tied to something bigger and involves some very powerful magic. Cori works with both Laidey and Olivia, the main characters from other books in the series, on the murder investigation and the larger issue of the Faire’s curse. The first six books in this series work well as standalones, but these final three books work best when read in order. The books are quick reads, so it won’t take long to get caught up. Things get tense in this story, but I loved the way things turned out in the end for the book and the series. This is a fun paranormal cozy mystery series with unique and interesting characters.

I received an advance copy of this ebook from the author at no cost, but my review is voluntary and unbiased.

A great addition to a unique series. Coriander, the new Fairy Queen, is one of my favorite characters. She's not your typical Royal, and she really comes into her own in this book. Lots of suspense and action, tempered with humor. A fun read!

"The bonds of my Faire-mily may have been forged under a curse, but this freedom would ensure they lasted an eternity"

Yes, I admit, spoilers may abound in this review so buckle up Buttercup and let's see what happens and how many escape 😁

The last two books proceeding this hint at and end to the curse of the Magical Renaissance Faire and this,at present, the finale, brings this wonderful series to a close as Queen Coriander and the Fairy Court play a vital role in tying up the loose ends left from the others.

Does it really happen? Will all the parts and promises fit? Will Creet the putrid reign supreme or will the King forsake his duty. And, where on earth will this motley crew escape to any way?

With this, these books come to an end. I will miss these characters as well as the collaboration of the three authors. Perhaps you are as smitten as I have been? Then you should find them under their separate names in your book source of choice. Hail and farewell. Highly Recommended 5/5

This is book nine in a series written in sets of three and released once each year. This book is the best one yet. The characters are fun magical entities that work together to solve crimes at their renaissance faire. The storyline was interesting and well written. If you enjoy fantasy and mystery this is the book and series for you.

I received an arc of this book and voluntarily provided a review.

The end of a series is always a bitter sweet one. That's true of this series.

For the last three out of nine books, Laidey, Olivia, and Cori have been actively and secretly searching for clues and exchanging information for ways to break the curse which bounds magical and humans to the faire for eternity. Then, they had to acquire the proper items and the exact wording of the curse.

Laidey is a novice witch. Olivia is the Autumn Knight and a fallen angel. Coriander (Cori) is Queen of the Fairies.

Just when it seems they have the clues and the correct items (which includes the King of Elbion's approval and assistance), one item eludes them - the fire of a dragon. Will they be able to acquire it and be free to leave the Faire? And, what will they do outside of the Faire since many of them have spent centuries within its walls? Will they remain friends or lose touch after leaving the Faire? Will all of these questions be answered?

Read this book to find out. However, since the series is only nine books long, you really should start at the beginning and learn to love these characters as I have. I think you will agree that its been written by three talented paranormal cozy mystery writers. It may be the end of the series, but I'll still be able to go back and visit these friends again. Don't miss this wonderful series.

A good end.

There are some issues with the continuity, but with three writers working on this series it is bound to happen. I felt the ending a bit rushed and too sappy, but that's probably on me.
All in all is a good ending and it felt right to wrap it up now.

Cori, with the assistance, of her assorted friends helps to unite the Faire while trying to finally break the curse. When the candy witch is killed, all fingers point to the curse and its ending but no one is sure who did it. With help from all the key players and her sparkling personality, Cori is able to get the last piece to the curse and give everyone freedom.

The finale of this series leaves me melancholy because I have loved it so much! These three
wonderful authors have truly created a magical
Faire that has been truly enjoyable! It’s sad to say
goodbye but at least I can reread them again and again and enjoy the adventures all over once again
anytime I want!

Disaster strikes the Faire for someone has burned down the Crooked Confectionery and killed the witch
inside, the one who trapped everyone who had magic in their blood who ate her cursed candy!

Cori, Fraxi, Thornton, and her friends investigate this
occurrence which means that no more new magicals will be cursed to stay at the Faire without being able to leave. Cori and her friends have already been working on breaking the curse but will this delay that hope now?

As Cori sifts through the findings, she discovers the
princess to the royal family is hiding a secret and it leads to the one who caused the situation that resulted in the original curse! Trying to trap him proves difficult but when it appears he might get away help comes from an unexpected source!

I have enjoyed these nine stories and the characters who have become my friends! I enthusiastically recommend you not only get this book but if for some reason you haven’t read the whole series to
this point by all means get all the books and enjoy a
magical adventure with a fallen Angel, a novice witch and a girl who discovers she is really a fairy and an important one at that!

You will enjoy this series I know!

This story is a perfect wrap-up of the Magical Renaissance Faire Mystery series! The curse surrounding the faire is close to being broken, and now one of the original conspirators is dead under mysterious circumstances. The well-crafted investigation yields several imaginative surprises on the way to a believable conclusion, and one of the best aspects of this book is the tight bonds between the players which always stands them in good stead. Queen Coriander is such a charmer, and she and Prince Hadal deserve their fairytale HEA. Olivia, Adelaide, and the rest are all given neat resolutions, and while I will miss this series, fans can appreciate the tidy and engaging story that ends these magical hijinks.

If you haven't read Books 7 and 8 go back and read them! They contain vital clues that continue into this book.

As this book opens, we see Coriander send off her nymph roommate Fraxi off after preparing a hangover remedy and some breakfast for her. Coriander is the new queen of Fairy, but she is still the down to earth person she was before.

While walking to her tent where she tells fortunes, Coriander has a discussion with her toad familiar Thornton aka Thorny about the possibility of breaking the curse on the faire. She has been meeting with the Autumn knight, Olivia Swift and the novice witch, Adelaide 'Laidey' Ryan to figure out the next steps. They need the exact wording of the original curse in order to break it. The King and Queen are immortal right now, and others have been drawn into the faire unable to leave if they have even a little magic in their blood. They had created the faire to protect their identities over the years.

Coriander knows she will have to give up her fortune telling since she's now queen, but she decides to fullfil her obligations to the ones who have booked readings. She has a duty to the fairies and she will lead them.

Pomelo has trapped another unsuspecting magic person, Gregorio Von
Drake, but he won't tell what he is. Fraxi blames him for her hangover. His contribution to the faire is pictures with him as a human/dragon hybrid. His dragon armor with articulated joints and a leather head with a mouth that glows to simulate fire is a hit.

After closing up her business, she heads to The Crooked Confectionary to pick up treats for her kingdom. She's accosted by Gnomes, little devils who bite everyone in their path. Their spokesperson, Biddles, tells her that Yorick had told them to act that way to amuse the King.

The request they are asking of Queen Coriander is to help them with an accident that may cause them to be kicked out of the kingdom. Wanting them to not attack anymore either she asks if they can do anything other than that. It surprises her to find they can blow glass, a far more worthy task than attacking. The accident they discovered is that the treat shop has been burned to the ground.

Coriander rushed to the scene and starts dancing and throwing fairy dust to both erase guest's memories and to create an illustion to hide the ruins, which include a glass fireproof box with the preserved remains of the deceased Hag, Pomelo Turrón inside.

She telepathically contacts Fraxi to get Vern, the vampire coroner and Issac, the blacksmith while she gets Hadal, the merman prince and Antonio the apothecary. They would investigate, hopefully without the inept sheriff's knowledge.

Of course, that's not happening and he's going to blame one of them for the murder.

Both Antonio and a couple of fairy elders concluded that dragon fire was the cause of the demise of the Crooked Confectionary and Pomelo. Coriander had to find a way to get Antonio out of prison and to do that she needed to talk to Vern to see what he's been able to find out about Pomelo or the box. Vern confirms the box was constructed with Dragon Magic, now they have to figure out who has such magic within the faire.

A murder to solve, a Princess with secrets, a newcomer with more, a curse with an impossible task to unravel as this series winds its way to the end.

Bravo!

After the witch who makes the cursed candies that trap magical creatures, causing them to remain bound to the Renaissance Faire is found dead, it seems that things are happening quite at a rapid pace and great changes are in store for everyone. Not only does this murder need to be solved, but there has been a dragon spotted flying at night, and no one knows who it is. Also, there is a possibility that the curse could actually be broken, which would allow everyone to stay or go if they chose. But not everyone is sure they want the curse to be ended. Many of them have been trapped in the Faire for centuries and no longer know how to survive outside of it. Could one of them be the murderer? And can the curse actually be broken or are they all doomed to remain trapped there forever?

I received a review copy of this book. It was the final book in this multi-author, combined-world series. And it was a fantastic way to end the series, though I personally would love to read about what some of the characters will do next. This book was fast paced and the type of book you just don't want to put down. I really enjoyed reading it, as well as all the previous books in the series. The characters have been fun to read about, and I am only sorry to see this series end, even knowing that it had to eventually.

If you've read the previous books, have visited a Renaissance Faire, or enjoy reading cozy mysteries with a paranormal twist, then I believe you will enjoy this book. While I know that I’ve not said much about the story itself here, I am trying to be very careful about not giving away too much and spoiling the ending, which makes it very difficult to say much of anything that doesn’t include spoilers. The main character is Coriander, the recently crowned queen of the fairies, but all of the characters that I've come to love also play a large part in this story. And that only makes it even better. As I said above, it's a great ending to a very fun series.

I fell in love with Coriander the Conjurer when I read the first book about her “All Swell That Ends Spell.” She was sweet, shy, and short on self-confidence. But now with the assistance of her best friend Fraxi and her toad familiar Thornton, she is settling into her position as queen of the fairy realm. But disaster hits when the confectionery burns to the ground and a body is found inside. It is the witch Pomelo, and her body is strangely preserved inside a fireproof glass box. Pomelo was hated by all as she was the one who tricked everyone into eating her cursed candy thus trapping them forever within the confines of the faire. Cori now leads the investigation to find the killer…and perhaps stop the curse so the magical creatures can be freed.

I love the variety of magical beings and their personalities – a clever vampire who is the coroner, a sexy blacksmith who is also an alchemist, and Cori’s merman love interest. There are plenty of twists and turns to keep you guessing who the murderer is.

Trixie Silvertale’s books are always a refreshing break from other heavier reading. Her books feature snarky heroines, a bit of romance, and a wonderful cast of unique characters. I am always eager to read any book she publishes.

Trixie’s three books in this series are part of a larger collection of books called the Magical Renaissance Faire Mysteries. Ern Johnson writes three books in the collection about a novice witch, and Nova Nelson writes three about a magical fallen angel.

Perfect for when you need to escape into a happier place for a few hours.

This is the final book in the Magic Renaissance Faire Mysteries and it is with sadness that this is so. This is the 9th book and each book from the 3 authors who contributed was fantastic. The last couple of books dealt more with Coriander, Queen of the fairies, Laidey, an up and coming witch and Olivia the Autumn knight and a fallen angel trying to find a way to break the curse of the faire. Working to find the reason for the curse so they could find a way to fix things, they need the help of the king of the realm. But when the gingerbread house burns down with the witch, Pomelo dead inside, Cori's friend Antonio is wrongly charged with the murder. Pomelo is the one who had trapped the patrons with her magic treats. So this last book is full of finding a murderer, finding a hidden dragon, who is the stranger that can come and go that has the King's daughter in love with him? Who cursed the faire and why? Can they finally break the curse or will they all still be together with their boyfriends forever? This is a fast paced roller coaster ride that takes you to an explosive ending! I loved this whole series and this last book was a wonderful culmination of the series. I recommend this whole 9 book series to everyone since you will be as enthralled as I was. I received an ARC of this book but the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.

Ms. Silvertale brings us to the grand finale of this fun cosy mystery series with this the 9th book. I for one am really going to miss the goings on in the cursed renaissance faire and all it's great characters. This time round it is Coriander, the queen of the fairies who ends up trying to solve the mystery to stop the curse and free the magical creatures trapped within it. However trouble as usual is brewing and the gingerbread house is burnt to the ground together with Pomelo, the witch who enticed and trapped magical creatures who ate her treats. Coriander tries to find people to help her solve the mystery riddle, so with the help of the autumn knight, a nymph who is also her best friend, an up and coming witch from the broom shop, the blacksmith and the prince of the Mer people, as well as Vern the vampire they do their best to free their friend Antonio who has been wrongly imprisoned by the horrible sheriff, to unravel the murder mystery and break the curse. Who is using dragon magic? All this work is really no joke and Thornton does his best to keep Cori on track to free them all. I am really going to miss this series!

Having journeyed with the captivating Renaissance Faire Series, I found "Double Double Royal Trouble" to be an exhilarating read that kept me wondering; Would the curse be finally broken? Queen Coriander's, the main character in Trixie Silvertales story strives to save the magical folk in the Renaissance faires magical kingdom, from disaster should the spell go wrong. With her ensemble of magical friends, Cori makes this is a riveting tale filled with intrigue. The mystery deepens with the introduction of a potential dragon adversary who enters the kingdom just before the sinister candy-trapping witch is murdered.

Silverdale masterfully interweaves Queen Cori's personal growth, both in her fairy abilities and her budding romance with the merpeople prince into the story of her increased skill in solving mysteries.
The ending plot twist with the treacherous wizard and the missing ingredient for the spell to free the magic folk trapped in the faire was surprising.

Trixie Silverdale's storytelling skill shines throughout, making it hard to set this book aside. A definite recommendation for anyone seeking a paranormal cozy mystery adventure!"

I have mixed feelings about this final book in the series. I have enjoyed getting to know these characters and how they all ended up in this cursed Faire but the time has come for the curse to be lifted and happiness for all to be that of their choosing.
Trixie Silvertale has done an amazing job with this last book. She brings a story that brings a sense of peace to the main characters but before this happens she tells a story with murder, intrigue and the wonder of friendship.
Cori with the help of her familiar, Thornton, aka Thorny are in for an adventure that starts off with the biting gnomes, who bring Cori the news about a murder. This murder is the catalyst that brings the curse to an end but the twist and turns along the way make this story one that I could not put down.
I would definitely recommend starting with the first book and continuing on through to book nine.

This series delighted me from book one and I'm sad that it's ending. I love all the characters over the separate stories written by the three authors with some common characters in the series. Coriander recently learned she was a fairy and became Queen in prior books much to her amazement and still suffers from self-doubt. She needs to find a murderer and free everyone from the curse with the help of her friends and love interest, Hadal, all while dodging a new and suspicious flying dragon. And I can't forget to add her familiar, Thornton, a proper and overprotective toad. The familiars these authors wrote were hilarious and I think should have a spinoff series. It was great to have the all encompassing ending that included all the characters.
And finally I was so happy that Vern had a happy ending.

Coriander, the Queen of the Fairies, is trapped in the Renaissance Faire along with all of the other magical creatures. A curse was placed on the Ren Faire hundreds of years ago. Recently, her friends, the Autumn Knight and Laidy, a novice witch and recent arrival, have been working on a spell that was found that could break the forced imprisonment of all of the Faire's magical inhabitants. The spell is complicated. Many difficult to find ingredients are required. Also, the spell must be done under a full moon which is coming up in a couple of days. And, why is there a dragon suddenly flying around? Time is running out. Much must be done for this slim chance of freedom for the Faire residents. Can all get done in time and what will be the outcome for everyone?
I really recommend this final book and the series and also urge you to read the prior books in the series. I think that you will enjoy each one of them as much as I did.

Will they ever break the curse? Queen Cori thinks they might have the means to do it, but it all depends on several things and one of them is the stubborn King. He is enjoying his long life of debauchery and doesn't want to change. Even his daughter is ready to leave the faire. Cori has to rely on the others for answers when they find a witch dead. The person who has brought so many people into the faire. It appears she was tortured and then killed. Her shop was burned with dragon fire and the faire doesn't have a dragon that they know about. Can Cori and the others find the killer and cancel the curse?

Double Double Royal Trouble is Book 9 in the Magical Renaissance Faire series.

I absolutely love this series and this book is so fantastic. I love all the books that Trixie Silvertale writes and this one is equally as good.

Coriander the Conjurer is the protagonist. I loved meeting her in a previous book in the series, ALL SWELL THAT ENDS SPELL.

Her familiar Thornton is a toad which adds so much to the story. There is a body that is found and Coriander and her bestie Fraxi investigate.

I absolutely LOVED this book and I love all the different paranormal characters, especially the merman.

This is such a great book, and fantastic series! Highly recommend!

Kindness is Magic

SUCH a great book! SUCH a pageturner! I felt transported to the Magical Ren Faire and was there with Cori and Thorny. Oops. ThornTON. What a rollercoaster of a story! It’s got such a different tone than the Mitzy Moon series, and I love it. Mitzy is more sarcastic, Cori more kind. I never thought I’d say this, but I love this series even more than Mitzy’s series! I had not thought that was even possible! This series, I love the kindness, it makes such a difference! But Cori does learn to stand up for herself, get some confidence! And the story, well, it was soooooo good. Ah. Ma. Zing! Huzzah! Three cheers for Double Double Royal Trouble!

This newest installment of the Magical Renaissance Faire is written by Trixie Silverstone. This episode revolves around Coriander, Queen if the Fairies. Cori and most of the main characters in this series are working hard to break the curse that has trapped the in the Faire for so very long. Can they work together to solve the puzzle? Can they convince the king that it’s the right thing to do? And if they do break the curse, what will they all do, stay with the Faire or leave their friends behind forever? Find out for yourself and read this fabulous book. The next question I need to know is where this series goes next!

Make sure you read this one of the series last. I love Cori. She's really gaining confidence and becoming more used to being queen of the fairies. When she finds the candy shop burned down and the hag, Pomelo, in a glass coffin (shades of Snow White) she sets out to investigate before the crooked sheriff finds the scene. The characters are great (I love Fraxi, too) and the mystery is well plotted. Are the days of the curse holding everyone in the Renn Faire numbered? Read this book and find out.

Coriander is now the Queen of the fairy realm and is learning what powers she has and balancing her life. She is in hopes of helping get rid of the curse over the faire when the witch who makes the candy to trap magical beings is murdered. There seems to be dragon magic linked to it but who has that kind of power. Fasten your seatbelt while Cori, Thornton her toad familiar with the help of some of her friends try and solve the murder and break the curse. Very cute series and a little sad to see it end

I have thoroughly enjoyed this book, as I have all the others in the series.

Coriander, queen of the fairies, and her closest friends and allies, are trying to lift the curse that keeps the Kingdom of Elbion trapped in the Renaissnce Faire. Things are side-tracked by a murder of an old witch. Of course, there are some that don't want the curse to be lifted and it is probable that one of them is the killer. It is also possible that they may have something to do with the curse in the first place.

This is the 9th and final book in the series and follows Coriander and her friends as they bring their stories to a close. It’s an easy read that’s not to be missed.
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and will miss all the characters. The resolutions to all the various storylines were handled well by all 3 authors and wrapped up in a nice bow in this final installment. It kept me turning the pages late into the night.
You really should read the books in order, they’re fun and imaginative escapes from reality.

I really hate to see this series end!

This is book nine in a three author shared world. All the books have been so much fun but this appears to wrap up the series. Will everyone come out alive and will the curse be broken? Your going to have to read it to find out! Really hard not to give spoilers. The books really should be read in order as there is crossover of characters. All three authors do such a good job of developing their characters and the faire itself. Very enjoyable reads with lots of twists!

I received an ARC. This is my honest review.
