Unveil, or not to Unveil …. That is the question.

Thank you Author Amber Garza for the opportunity to win “Unveil” as a first reads!!! I hope my fair and unbiased review will do your book justice.. (-: *bows down* to you for this fantastic trilogy.

Mackenzie is looking forward to her high school graduation, and her eighteenth birthday with so much excitement!! Until an unwelcome visitor from her past appears… hmmm, I wonder who it could be? I know, but do you?
And this unwelcome quest/visitor from her past is threatening her future plans. (not so good, I think)

Armed with a new weapon, and the boy whom she loves by her side, (not going to tell you which one he is though) Mackenzie prepares to fight. But she doesn’t realize that she’s about to step into the ultimate battle of between good and evil, where the stakes are much higher than they ever have been before.

As I picked up “Unveil” to start reading I couldn’t wait to dive right into it. So many questions were left open for us from “Entice”, book 2 in the “Prowl Trilogy”, that I was left very much wondering who Mackenzie was going to choose, or what was waiting for her around the next corner.

I nod my head in agreement with the choices Mackenzie had made, it had also made me grin… happy for the way things had turned out, yet sad at the same time because I wanted to read more…

Although there is a Christian theme playing out in the background of this trilogy, by no means should non-Christians readers pull away from the “Prowl Trilogy”. Lessons in life can be learned in this phenomenal, amazing trilogy.

Look at it, and read it with a open mind and heart. You will see the message woven into this great series, then think about that message and what you yourself would do.
All the while enjoying the storyline, feeling the turmoil of emotions and passion as you read.

Well done Author Amber Garza for this amazing series!!! A must read.

Unveil is an amazing ending to an amazing series. Amber has done an EPIC job of weaving a story where the characters come to life. Kenzie has had to go through so much in such a short period of time. She deals with her mother's crazies and she calls it and then she is stuck in the middle of a love triangle. She and her best friend are on the rocks and she has to understand her powers. What is a girl to do?

Kenzie is getting ready to turn 18 and she is graduating from high school. She is excited and scared but she is looking forward to starting her new life. In Unveil she will have to face the ultimate battle between good and evil. She will have to make choices and decisions that both frighten her and make her happy. She will have to chose who to trust and who not to trust. Then when an unlikely and unwelcome person comes back into her life she will have to chose what to do about this person.

Kenzie doesn't realize it yet but this is the biggest battle she will have. She will have to face the good with the bad and she will have to fight for what is right. In the end who will be left standing? Kenzie will also chose who she will be with. The three boys she has had feelings for will make her chose and the person she choose is the perfect person for her. She will also start to mend a friendship that was broken along the way.

When Kenzie starts to see the aura's and have the nightmares again she realizes that something big is happening. She is not quite sure but she knows it is big and she will have to fight with everything she has. With her love by her side she will fight the evil that haunts and taunts them. In the end will she defeat evil? Who will she chose as her partner? Will her father get the message loud and clear? What happens to her best friend? Come along for the greatest ending to a great series!

I couldn't wait to start reading because in the previous book we were left wondering who Kenzie was going to choose and what might happen next..I couldn't put this book down and I was very happy with the way it turned out and of course it left me wanting so much more!
Unveil is my favorite of this series because you really feel the passion, the emotion, and the strength as the author intended it to be felt!

I received Unveil as part of the Prowl Tour in return for a honest review. This is the third and final book in Kenzie's story. The time has come for Kenzie to decide who she wants to date both boys are in love with her Isaac and Tanner as she is in love with both of them. Not an easy spot to be in with all the stuff she's had to deal with over the last year with Wesley. Kenzie decides that Isaac is the best choice after what she learned about Tanner in book two; he will bring out the best in her. Kenzie's mom is on the way to getting back to being her normal tacky self as Kenzie calls her. She doesn't know what happened with Drake one why he dropped off the face of the earth but Kenzie does.

Kenzie starts seeing people that no one else can see with aura's around them, some are dark and some are light at first she's not sure what to think but as the book progresses she starts to understand. With seeing the spirits Kenzie starts having nightmares again, they are about the kid her neighbor has hang around who is filled with the demonic spirit. She starts seeing a strange man hanging around, she almost hits him with her car, he stalks her at home and then she finds her mom arguing with him.

Kenzie has mended her friendship with her best friend Haley who almost died in book two. However Tanner is giving Kenzie the cold shoulder because he's in love with her and she's chosen Isaac, but he thinks they need a break till she can deal with her feelings for Tanner. Kenzie doesn't know her father but she's always wanted to know him that's why she fell victim so easily to Wesley in the first book he temped her with something she wanted badly. Her father starts seeing her when her mother isn't around, leading her on as if he cares. It's Tanner who saves Kenzie from her father and Wesley when he tries to take off with her. Kenzie is turning eighteen and everything is about to change forever.

I loved book three, however I loved the first tow but this one was wow. It's a fast paced book that draws the reader right in from the start with the big decision between the boys. I've always rooted for Team Isaac because I think they are perfect for each other, but the ending for book three was better than I could have hoped for. I loved reading the series and watching as Kenzie grew from the struggling girl into a strong in control young woman who made her life what she wanted and fought the evil that lurked around her. The Prowl series is a great series for people of all ages it is a Christian book but I didn't find it all church loaded like most books but it's their in the background. I hate trilogies because I always get sad when they end but Unveil had an amazing ending I was left feel very happy. I really loved the ending and I love the series.

I received the opportunity to read Prowl and to follow is my fair and unbiased review:

Prowl is the first book in the Prowl trilogy.

Blurb:

Seventeen-year-old Mackenzie Smith is sent away to spend a boring summer at her grandma’s. But then she meet Wesley. He tells her exactly what she want to hear and has information about her past that no one else knows . It’s almost like he can read her mind. Only Wesley isn’t who he seems. By the time Mackenzie discovers his true identity it may be too late. She’s in too deep and he won’t let her go. Now Mackenzie must call on the strongest power of all in order to save her life.

My review:

The book is well written fast paced and interesting it keeps you glued to the pages trying to figure out what’s happening and how Mackenzie is going to handle everything . You get a look into the life of a teen and see how they see the would. It has a good story, plot, very strong stand alone characters and character building is very good.

“O My Goodness Prowl is hard to put down .”

Mackenzie is shipped off to her grandmothers for the summer where she meets a hot Christian boy named Isaac and a strange new friend named Rhiannon. Mackenzie has a lot of questions are they going to get answered or not. And Mackenzie biggest question is who is her dad. Her mother won’t tell her and her grandmother doesn’t know much about him.
Rhiannon showed Mackenzie her Ouija board and they started playing with it. Now there’s a spirit after Mackenzie and he is making her life miserable. At the end of the book does Mackenzie find God and does he save her ?. Can Mackenzie keep her faith in him?..

I don’t know but I’m gonna after I get started on #2 Entice
Bye gone reading…

Well. I got what I wished for!

This is a spoiler right here guys. So skip this next line. Yay! Kensic forever!!! I knew it. She'd never leave Isaac for Tanner. Mhm. I called it out to guys. You saw it. If you read my post about Entice. Spoiler over!

I am creeped out with her dad. I don't know. I kinda blame Kenzie and her mom though. I know, I know, but they could have tried to help him. I mean, they found comfort in God so they could have helped her dad do it too and not be all screwed up with demons. Or he could have been in too deep to be saved, but I don't think so. I'm not sure how it works though, because I am not Christian, but from what I read in this series, God loves you no matter what!

Also, I want to know why Tanner does not get back with Scarlet in the end. She wanted to get back together with him even though she broke up with him, so why doesn't he? I don't know what's wrong with her. She seems nice enough and it was hinted that she was going through some bad stuff so why didn't Tanner get back together with her and help her? I'd prefer that more than him and Haley getting together.

There was one thing I was a bit confused about. Those ghost/demon people. The little boy and the gothic girl. Who were they? I didn't understand why they were important. I know that they came together in the end to form that thing. But I still don't understand what Drake and Wesley were talking about.

I am so happy for Kenzic! Mackenzie and Isaac forever together! They are perfect for each other. Perfect perfect perfect.

Overall, I enjoyed this book a whole bunch! 4.5 Stars!

Review on my blog (to be posted 10/17): http://christianbookshelfreviews.blog...

Unveil was a really good book that I enjoyed reading. It dealt a lot with spiritual warfare and I found that interesting (although at times it was slightly weird).

I liked a lot of the main characters and my favorites were Kenzie, Isaac, and Tanner. I don't particularly care for love triangles, so I was glad when that was finally resolved in this book. I'm happy to say that I think everything went the right way and I'm happy with the ending. :)

Like the first two books in this series, Unveil was very easy to read and I finished it in about a day. If you enjoy YA novels, then I think you'll enjoy this book, but you should probably read the first two books because otherwise things might not make sense. Recommend.

*I received a complimentary eBook copy of this book for my review. I was not required to give a positive review, only my honest opinion, which I've done. All thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.*

This review can also be found at Books For YA!

Unveil is the last book in the Prowl Trilogy and I must say, it was nice to see the transition in Kenzie's character from being a suicidal rebellious teen to a mature young woman.

Unveil picks up where Entice left off. Kenzie chose Isaac over Tanner and that made Tanner left without saying a word. But after five days, Isaac decided that they should break up for the meantime so that Kenzie can sort out her feelings. And guess whose back in Kenzie's life. Other than Wesley the evil demon, Kenzie's dad is also back in her life and he's trying to "make up" for the lost time.

But of course, if there is a bad news, there is also a good news. Kenzie's mom is turning a new leaf after being possessed by a demon. She did not only go to church with Kenzie, she also seemed to improve in her cooking skills.

The plot was okay. The complexity of the conflict is not as great as Entice but I still like it. Overall, it was an entertaining read. I can't think of a better ending than this.

I'm a little conflicted with this one... The story was awesome and it was a great wrapping of the trilogy and Kenzie's situation.

What has me conflicted is the result of the love triangle. I HATE THESE! Especially when both guys are REALLY GREAT which makes it difficult to choose between them. Personally, and this is my opinion, I would have chosen the other guy because simply put, actions speak louder than words or in this case emotions. I just think she should have chosen the other guy, he had really proved himself to her. You'll understand what I'm talking about after you read the books. I won't go into further details because I don't want to give out spoilers. I'll just say this, I'm just glad the author gave my guy his happily ever after, I would have been really bummed otherwise!

Happy readings!

4.5 stars.

I enjoyed the first two books in the series and have to say that the final installment didn't disappoint. I had to start reading it right away thanks to the cliffhanger at the end of Entice, and I couldn't put it down. Kenzie is forced to make some choices that dictate who will be a part of her life and how the next several years will go. It was nice to see all of the relationships evolve, and I felt that this was done organically. The dialogue was not forced, and I found myself drawn into loving, hating, and yelling at the characters. The Christian themes throughout the series were not too overdone, and will therefore appeal to a wider audience. I recommend checking out this series now!

The Good: Unveil was another quick (great) read that I couldn't put down. Amber did a really nice job building the story (throughout the trilogy), the ultimate action sequence, and tying up loose ends.

The Issue: Nothing really stood out for me in terms of plot, although I will state that I was a little disappointed with Kenzie's final choice for a boyfriend. But it certainly didn't take anything away from the story, and that shows you how wrapped up I was in the characters!

The Rating: 4.5 conch. A really great finale in a series that's fast paced and enjoyable. Looking forward to seeing more from Amber Garza.

What a fascinating ending to this unique and sometimes scary trilogy. Unveiled was very easy to read and very hard to put down. I was able to finish it in one day and I enjoyed every minute of it.

Unveil is not a standalone book so I do recommend that you read the first two books in this series. It does pick up right where Entice left off. It was nice to see Kenzie make a choice between the two boys and it was interesting to see her deal with that decision.

I don’t want to give away too much of Unveil but I have to say that the ending was really nice and I was happy to see how everyone ended up. I recommend this series to anyone who likes YA Paranormal books that have a bit of Christianity mixed in.

Oh My Oh My Oh My!!! Author Amber Garza does it once again. This third book in her Prowl Trilogy is just as or more than amazing than the first two. Her style of writing throws you in, grabs and does not let go. To say that I LOVE her books is somewhat of an under statement.

I will recommend author Amber Garza to any one that loves reading. Even if you are not a fantasy/paranormal:

There was a lot of build up to the showdown, which was actually pretty good. It was kind of annoying that Kenzie spent most of her time trying to decide between Isaac & Tanner, it was very back & forth. I'm glad she actually made a decision in the end. It all wrapped up nicely.
