So many of us would like to live our lives in a calmer & less stressful way, & be able to let go of our problems. In his phenomenal bestseller 'Don't Sweat the Small Stuff... and it's all Small Stuff', Carlson shows you how to stop letting the little things in life drive you crazy.
In 'Don't Sweat the Small Stuff at Work', Carlson shows you how to interact more peaceably and joyfully with colleagues, clients and bosses. He reveals how to shine in meetings. How to react to criticism from colleagues, and how to ask for a pay rise in the most effective way possible.
In 'Don't Sweat the Small Stuff about Money', you will learn the brilliant strategies for achieving financial success by giving up stress, worry, anger & fear. Carlson's basic philosophy for life is the more you give, the more you get back - & that you can make money or make excuses, but you can't do both.

This book is basically composed of three books- Don't Sweat the Small Stuff, Don't Sweat the Small Stuff at Work, and Don't Sweat the Small Stuff about Money. Carlson is the author of a whole series of the Don't Sweat books plus a few more. He died tragically at the age of 45, due to pulmonary embolism during a flight from San Francisco to New York. This book is a nice collection of small essays (for want of a better word) about various things. Each of these essays are about two to three pages long. I haven't read it cover to cover but I do open it at random or leaf through it and find something interesting. Some tips from this book 1. Don't interrupt others. Most of the time we don't even notice we are doing it. Yes, seriously. And not only does it make the other person feel that they are being heard and appreciated, but you also will feel more relaxed. 2. Read stuff that have a totally different view from yourself to learn something new. 3. Take up yoga. I suppose a few moments of meditation in the AM or, as one of my classmates endorses, mindfulness can also make you more relaxed. 4. Don't say 'I have to go to work' as it has a subtle negative message 5. Cultivate humour and learn to smile. 6. Fight for your limitations (like saying I can't do this thing or that) and they will be yours So if you want something on your table to pick up and read at random, this might be helpful. You might not agree with the stuff in the book- its all small stuff anyway. However, there might be a few pointers that might help you smile and feel more relaxed as you go along your way.
These type of books are not my favorite ones to read, though their messages are uplifting and wonderful and positive, they aren’t a page turner for me. Listening to them on audiobook prevents me from falling asleep.
Cultivating the virtues of kindness, patience, humility, and love are all Christlike traits and something I can always be reminded of to improve and do a little better in my own personal life. You can’t walk away from this book having not decided to try to be a little bit better of a person. One of my favorite takeaways from this book is when you’re in a situation that you might Feel is negative, step back and think to yourself “what can I learn from this?”
The book pretty much lives up with the title. I took my time reading this because it's more of a self-realization book rather than a self-help. If you set your eyes on a certain goal and little things seem to bother you, then I suggest you read this book. Immediately. =)
Sad to end this book. Took me so long to end coz i previously read 1 subject a week then lockdown came, i read 1 subject every morning... this book serves as my reminder aside from the bible i read together with this. Now i have to find another one to uplift me every morning 😘
I love that this book is easy to read. Since each chapter is written succinctly, it's perfect for daily reflection. I don't 100% agree with everything that's written here but some lessons have helped me get through tough times so I'm still giving it 4 stars.
This is a short book on how to cultivate our inner peace through small acts in everyday situation. Words of wisdom we can easily forget ad we rush through our daily lives and to do lists days on end.
I just wish there can be some (or more) mentioning on setting boundaries and self love too.
I thought it was a good read. It had advice on how to live your life peacefully, happily and with less stress, something that most people don't know how to do.
I kinda like this book, it's taught me alot about lesson in life and most of the chapter he always give example of himself as a lesson and that really motivated me to read more about his book!
This book taught me to have a better perspective in life which will eventually help me live a less stressful, less dramatic, and so much better kind of life!
This omnibus includes the books: ◾Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff… and it’s all Small Stuff ◾Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff at Work ◾Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff about Money
"When you ‘don’t sweat the small stuff,’ your life won’t be perfect, but you will learn to accept what life has to offer with far less resistance.”
Carlson takes us through a large variety of strategies that will help us to live more peacefully and harmoniously by letting go and not sweating the small stuff. Each one is thought-provoking and helpful, and I found this book to be very useful.
