Cool: A Wrestling Story

Rate this book
Milo "Cool" Coolidge and his friends, The Cool Kids, are relentlessly bullied at school because they are all a bit different. When Cool is bullied so badly that it results in an injury, the Middle School Wrestling Coach takes the Cool Kids under his wing and trains them to be wrestlers. The Cool Kids think they are becoming wrestlers, but in reality, they are becoming better and more complete human beings. This is a coming of age story for a group that is often neglected in such tales- young adolescents who are different, during a period of life in which fitting in is of primary concern. Join Cool and his pals as they learn to train, compete, and respect themselves through the process of learning how to work harder and work smarter. Share in their experiences as middle school aged kids who have something to prove to themselves as well as to their peers.

Gonyoism... It's a way of life!
