Kara Lockharte is the author of the Space Shifters Chronicles. She loves writing romances with sexy alpha shifters and the strong heroines who can't resist them.
"You make me human. You keep me human." He looked at her with a sorrow so deep that it almost broke her. "I just want to be with you." "You are with me."
It's been so great being able to read the first three books in this series almost back-to-back, and DRAGON FATED picks up right where DRAGON DESTINED left off. Damian and Andi have found their way back to each other and have decided to give their tenuous relationship another shot. And although they are both determined to make it work, each has their own reservations about whether their relationship can truly last what with the constant danger that Damian faces and the trepidation Andi carries with her from her past relationships and her family's secrets. Regardless of their hesitations, their physical connection continues to evolve and there were some seriously steamy scenes in this book y'all!! Hot damn, I'm surprised my Kindle didn't burst into flames.
However even though Damian and Andi seemed to connect physically and emotionally, they continued to tell each other half-truths with the intention of protecting the other, so I'm not surprised by the cliffhanger at the end! I just hope the next book comes out soon so we can get a resolution ♡
My Damian Blackwood, always dapper in a suit and surrounded by his mirrors....

This is the 3rd book in the Prince of the Other Worlds series. While there’s several adventures, questions answered, and some very sexy scenes - more mysteries arise and the relationship is a slow burn spanning multiple books. All the books need to be read and in order. There's also a prequel, Dragon’s Don’t Date, that is fun but not necessary to the plots of the series. This review will contain spoilers to previous books.
Damian and Andi are working hard to give having a relationship a chance. This one is even sexier than the previous two while still keeping up all the suspense and mystery I love. Devastating family secrets are revealed to both Andi and Damian.
Damian’s group of friends draws even closer. They also get a lot of page time here and I love them as much as I do the main characters. Andi’s independent spirit puts control obsessed Damian on high alert, but he does his best to support her. The continuing evolution of their relationship is at turns adorable and wanton. This one definitely has the most push/pull between them.
The balance and pacing are wonderful here. While they’ve all been open ended to the next book, this one is high on cliffhanger drama and I’m diving right into Dragon Mated.
Narration: Continue to adore Victoria Mei's narration. She gives the ever expanding cast of characters unique voices and keeps them consistent across all the books. This series easy to get lost in and perfect to binge.
While I own the entire series in ebook, I did receive a copy of the audiobooks from Home Cooked Books and am leaving an honest review.
Oh man this series is getting so, so good. Truths are being revealed and loyalties are at risk. Bonds are forming and soon it feels like we will have some more clarity. Andi and Damian are getting closer and closer trying to have relationship and its getting HOT. I love that she is opening up to him and him to her. Both of their families have things coming to light and its making for an interesting ride to say the very least.
This book we get more side characters and that is interesting because I knew some of them would become more important and I am glad to see it happening.
The family aspect is coming out more and more and its showing its true colors I can’t wait to see how this is all going to play out in the next book.
I have to rave about our narration again because honestly Victoria Mei is fanfreakingtastic in this book, I said it before I can’t believe it’s only one narrator she give voices to everyone and it is perfect.
Andi and Damian certainly seem to keep getting into more trouble each time they are apart. So many secrets are revealed in this book which will impact our wonderful couple in future stories. Sometimes I want to just shake Andi & Damian and tell them both to grow up. If they actually talked and didn’t assume they each knew best, they wouldn’t find themselves in such hot water. But then it wouldn’t be the great saga that it is now! The cliffhanger leaves you wanting more. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Andi and Damian are still emotionally fencing with one another, although Damian is being pretty upfront while Andi is hiding a lot. Never a good thing and I would have liked this story better if Andi had actually discussed everything with Damian.
Cliffhangers can be very frustrating! Thankfully, the next book releases on the 13th, but ugh...
Ok wow! So, we find Damian’s sister needing help but who or whom is behind the attacks? But, slowly and i mean slowly we are seeing Andi & Damians love blossom more. Andi is still stubborn in thinking he is her true love and Damian is scared to tell her he knows she is his true mate. Andi is afraid of him running off like so many of her family member did. But, it seems Andi’s family has secrets, but who will finally share that info to her? also. darn you ladies for stretching this stories into three more f-ing books! I am sooo want to know what happens next.
Loved listening to Victoria Mei transform these characters to life.
I was happy to review the first two books in the series, so when the authors offered me the third, it was a no-brainer!
What I really appreciate as the series goes on is that the group dynamic becomes more and more apparent. Characters that were in the background (or unconscious) for the first two books have come to the forefront, making a delightful found family. Mills continues to be my favorite, although that may be because she's Grimalkin's favorite and there's just something about that magic cat that gets to me.
The relationship between our leads is definitely evolving. I appreciate that it's not a back and forth, on and off situation. Their relationship issues are major and more than what can be solved in a single conversation, giving them weight and purpose. Damian's relationship with his dragon continues to grow and evolve and it's done very differently than most shifter romances. Rarely do you get to see the animal as a separate entity with so much personality.
The one struggle I had with the book is that it employs one of my least-liked romance tropes: a character keeping a key secret for fairly flimsy excuses because it's more dramatic for the plot. I will admit that the final paragraph of the book was a delightful cliffhanger because of it. But when the moment the character started talking themselves out of revealing what they needed to reveal, I was rolling my eyes.
The sex scenes continue to be excellent and the story in general is fast paced. Hard to imagine that it's been only a couple weeks in the universe of the story, but it's three whole books in. However, I am super intrigued by Andie's family and their past. I'm definitely up for reviewing further installments.
The first two books introduced charcharters, relationships, the hunters and the Relm. There is a lot of action and hot romance so the reader needs to be ready. The book takes us the next steps with three stories going on: 1. Damian & Andi, 2. Ryana, Damian's sister & 3. Andi's Family. Damian and Andi relationship continues to grows. Sometime they're together and each are concern about the other getting hurt, captured or killed. The Relm is in unrest so Damian ends up pulling Ryana over from the Relm into Earth. We don't learn to much about her but she does bring something very significant for Damian. Your will have to read the book to find out what she brought and the impact it has on his future.
We learn more about Andi's family which includes. Uncle Lee, Danny & her mother. The book spends a fair amount of time looking into her Uncle Lee and Danny. She finds out that her family including her mother is connect to the Hunters, but she doesn't understand the part they play. She decides to get answers! Does she manage to do it? Or does her want no part of the hunters because of her feelings for Damian?
I received this book as an ARC for an honest review. I enjoyed reading this book and would recommend it.
Dragon Fated is book three in the Prince of the Other Worlds series and picks up right where Dragon Destined left off and Damien and Andi have found their way back to each other’s arms and beds and have decided to give their tumultuous relationship another go. And while they both want nothing more than for this to work, Andi is cautious due to hurt from past relationships and her family secrets and Damien is concerned about the constant danger that surrounds him. The realm is in unrest, so Damien pulls his sister Ryana over to earth and she brings with her something that Damien fled the realms to escape. We spend more time learning about Andi’s family in this book. Andi uncovers that her uncle Li, her brother Danny, and her mother Mei Li are all connected to the hunters but doesn’t understand the depths of their roles in the group, so she decides to go digging for answers. There was a massive breakdown in communication between these Damien and Andi, however, their physical connection was off the charts hot! Will Andi get the answers she so desperately wants? Will she join the hunters as the rest of her family have or will her feelings for Damien win out?
Book 3 of 4 in the saga that is Andi & Damian. They need to be read in order as they stack and continue an ongoing story. Elements are reiterated or explained again each time which is a great element if you were reading with breaks in between, it refreshes your memory without beating you over the head. It is written in a way that assumes you've read the previous book but just gently reminds you of what you need to know.
In this part of the story we started in a good place. Our fated couple had embraced their attraction and the will they/won't they seemed to have been resolved. However there is still a lot we don't know about them and they don't know about each other or even themselves.
We learn more about Andi's family and history. Enough to add even more questions to the seemingly endless pile of untied threads. We meet Damian's sister and learn of how things have been working in the realms since his departure.
This specific installment ends on more of a cliff than the previous ones. You're going to want to cue up book 4 and roll straight through. The good thing is, HEA is guaranteed in book 4. How we get there is still up in the air. I can't wait to find out.
The audiobook is solo narrated impeccably by Victoria Mei. I love her voice and I just want to wrap myself up in a cozy blanket and have her read all the things to me. The baseline narration is soothing and calm. The dialogue is expressive and emotional, passionate or cold as needed. There are a variety of voices that are very consistent through the entirety of the series. One of my faves is Grimalkin the magical cheese loving cat.
I requested and was provided with a copy of the audiobook. These are my own thoughts.
“Dragon Fated” picked up right where the last book left off and it’s action packed and oh so steamy. Andi and Damien have amazing chemistry and I could not put this story down.
Andi has tried to keep her distance from the Billionaire dragon shifter but circumstances and fate keep bringing them back together. Neither can deny what is between them so Andi introduces Damien to something new, being in a relationship. But as they navigate that, Andi is still trying to figure out things with her brother, Uncle and now her Mother. And Damien has a surprise from the other realm show up at his door.
Andi and Damien have amazing chemistry. They might be two different species but that doesn’t mean a thing when they are together. Damien is overprotective and Andi is super independent. I loved listening to them navigate their new relationship. The plot twists and all new information we learned had my jaw dropping and I can’t wait to start the next book.
Victoria Mei is doing an amazing job narrating every character. Her talent is through the roof being able to have different and unique voices for each character.
So this is the reason I avoid reading books of an unfinished series: Dragon Fated ends with a major cliffhanger and now I have to wait for the next book to be released 😱😱😱
This third part reveals more about the past and the families of both Damian and Andi, but still leaves a lot of question marks. Additional characters are introduced, making you even more curious about what happened before and where the story is leading to. The relationship between Damian and Andi is evolving nicely, with some funny and steamy scenes. I especially liked the part where Andi is having a conversation with Damian and his dragon. There’s still some hesitation from Andi’s side, sometimes making me want to yell at her to just go for it. But I really appreciate how headstrong and independent she is and that she doesn’t change who she is just because she likes a guy. The bigger story is continuing on a relatively slow pace. It didn’t bother me that much, but I hope the pace will pick up in book 4.
I can’t wait to read the next one!!
This is my honest review of a copy given to me by the author.
In the third of the Prince of the Other Worlds series, Andi and Damian are getting closer, but their relationship continues to have its ups and downs. We learn more about his past, as well as her family-especially her mother, and both affect the present in a big way. There isn’t as much intense action in this story, it’s more about Andi and Damian getting to know each other better and figuring out what they should do about the secrets they both have. Of course there is plenty of steamy bedroom (and other room) action, these two are certainly getting to know each other intimately in every way possible it seems. But of course, with everything else going on, they can’t spend as much time as they’d like with those sorts of activities. The secondary characters supply comic relief and a great support system too. It’s always hard being left in suspense at the end, but I look forward to the next story very much. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Damian wakes Andi and spend time with her then leaves to get breakfast. Andi awakens in the night realizing it is Damian talking to her and after enjoying each other he leaves through a portal to get them some food. Once back in his bedroom he talks to Grim then notices that Lyka his sister Ryana's Guardian is banging on one of the portal mirrors and opening the portal Damian is shocked when the bird comes through on its own as it never leaves Ryana's side. searching though the portals he finally sees her face down on the floor and unresponsive and the building appears to be on fire. Lyka goes through and after changing into a larger bird form spills a silvery liquid near her the pushes her through the newly form portal. Damian catches her and takes her to the room used before with the equipment to monitor her life functions.

Damien and Andi are definitely soulmates. Even though its only been about what 2 weeks?? When you find someone you know is specular for you, it's meant to be! Andi is extremely defensive when it comes to people and relationships. Things just don't go her way. With Damien, it's his first real relationship and he wants to make sure that he holds on to the best thing that came into his life as well as his dragon. The one thing that his dragon and Damien can agree on is the safety of Andi. I believe certain situations in the book, Andi should of definitely told Damien, even though she has a huge mistrust of people especially her family! Andi deserves happiness and wealth! Damien loves doting on her. She loves him but is too frightened that she can have these strong feelings so quickly. My favorite parts.of the book are all of it!! My only wish is for Grim to finally get his cheese!! This author rocks and I can't wait to read more!!
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
This third book in the series opens with a (literal, hot, explicit) bang, and ramps up from there. Andi and Damian's relationship is definitely "on," so in book three they're trying to figure out how it works. All the while, their pasts are are rearing up to play havoc with their present as all these revelations aren't what either expected: Damian has a sister! Uncle Lee isn't done with Andi! Grimalkin the "magic cat" is back, as well, and I have to say I'm a huge Grim fan. (I'd give Grim cheese.)
While the sex is amazing and well-written, the depths of the emotional conundrums is sheer gold, in this book especially. With the POV swapping from Andi to Damian, I get to dive deep into each one's thoughts and viscerally experience their confusions, heartbreaks, and joys. The ending here is a cliff-hanger, so be prepared to be biting your nails until the next installment!
I received this as an ARC and am voluntarily reviewing it.
This is a good paranormal story about impossible love. I enjoyed this next adventure in Andi and Damian's story. It does end with a cliffhanger of sorts or more a sexy happy right now, but not surprised by this since I have read the previous stories. You definitely want to read more after that ending. Andi is a nurse who is desperately in need of money. She takes a one night and no questions asked job and met Damian is a very wealthy man who also has a secret. Now she is back to normal and thinks of Damian. Trouble soon shows up and she knows just the person to help. The chemistry between these two is strong. In this story they try not to deny the connection and struggle to make it work. These two connect on so many levels. The passion definitely ignites and the flames burn. I really like how this story develops. Love the characters! I cannot wait to see what happens in "Dragon Cursed"!!
I was blessed enough to be able to receive a free ebook advanced reader copy of “Dragon Fated” the 3rd and final book in the “Prince of the other worlds” series my Cassie Alexander(She does follow me back on Twitter(😍) dear reader however I will still give my same as always personal opinion on how I feel about it) and Kara Lockhart.
My personal review of the book is as follows:
Book 3 to avoid as many spoilers as possible I’m just going to say that in my personal opinion book 3 is a “Beauty and the beast”(With a sexy dragon shifter) meets “Romeo and Juliet”(Dragon Hunters” with a funny talking cat that loves cheese and a romance that in my personal opinion fits, feels realistic, and fits with the situation/people involved as well as well rounded side characters with actual personalities/side plots that makes sense for them specifically.
I personally rate this book a 4 out of 5 highly recommend for sexy sci-fi urban romance
Firstly I must suggest that you read/listen to this whole series in order. This one ended on a cliffhanger(which I am not a fan) and I was saddened. But luckily I have the next audio so I was able to dive right in! Phew! Crisis averted! In this story the two main characters spend a lot of time apart each working on their own agenda (Don’t worry they still get together for nookie every now and then). Some new characters show up and we some past ones. I like that we are learning more about all the characters as the story rolls along. Even the “familiar” with the cheese fetish who add some humor to the storyline.
As I previously mentions I enjoy all the “gadgets” the author has created for the characters to use and travel around. Some are spooky, others are smashing and they all are creative.
I can not rave enough about Victoria Mei! She is narrating this to perfection! I really can tell the different characters just by her voice changes! So cool!
The series is getting better and better. This ending was so good I had to start the next book immediately to get more closure and then the next book doesn’t quit so I just kept reading. I love getting more of Damian’s found family vibes in this book as well as Andi’s family drama too and finally getting close to getting questions answered. Damien and Andi’s spicy seems we’re very very hot in this book and more present than in book 2, thank god, but still not overshadowing the plot. I am a bit worried for book 4 in wrapping up both the realms issues with rydna and the assasination and dealing with the hunters and Andi’s family but with this book being better than the last, I’m cautiously hopeful that trend will continue and the finale book will be the best in the series. Maybe even the plot lines will connect in some way? Either way Ive already started book 4 before I got to a part where I could pause long enough to write this review so I’m definitely going to keep reading the series.
It's been wonderful to get these books in rapid release. The story evolves and we learn more, get more background information and find out new secrets. The characters are and have been well developed, the reader likes them and wants them to find an HEA. They are perfect for each other but there is still more to be discovered. He's in danger, she's hiding secrets and even though they are perfect for each other and the chemistry is fire hot, there are still more problems for them to uncover. This picks up where Dragon Destined left off. Andi and Damian are together again and are going to try but nothing is easy. Please read the books in order, they are a continuing story and while you could probably pick up the story, you'll miss so much that makes this a fast paced, steamy adventure that you won't want to put down. Highly Recommended!
My favourite so far! This book certainly started with a bang 😂 The heat level has risen and the story is going deeper. We learn more about Damien, his family and homeland, which just creates more complications for his and Andi's future. There is much more of a focus on their relationship and trying to figure out where things are going. More reveals about Andi's family continue to cause problems for her and she tries to hang on to what she cares about while attempting to discover the truth about her past. This was definitely a cliffy ending, more so than any other in the series, but it was done well. I'm completely invested in moving onto the final book in the series! The narration is still going strong. Victoria has a very pleasant tone and pace that make her performance enjoyable and easy to listen to, which is really important for a long series like this. 4.5/5 story and narration
I listened to the audiobook and I especially appreciated Victoria Mei's performance of Dragon Fated. I always struggle with book 3 of a 4 book series about the same couple, and the narration helped keep my attention throughout the book.
Unlike the first two books in the series, this one DOES have a mid-scene cliffhanger at the end, and it does have what feels like extra relationship drama (very very typical of a 4 book series, but always tedious for me so I always hope to escape it). I think of slow burn as taking a long time to get together, which doesn't seem to fit the events of the Prince of the Other Worlds series. It was a little on the racy side to listen to as I waited for x-rays in a public waiting room, but it did make the time go by quickly.
I received a copy of the audiobook at my request, and the opinions here are my own.
ARGH! I did not expect that cliffhanger ending! It’s killing me…..!
Dragon Fated continues Damian & Andi’s story, and it’s steaming up the windows. Their relationship begins to work in more than the bedroom just in time for more problems to emerge. Damian’s sister flees her dimension barely alive after her kingdom is destroyed. Oh, and she brings a cursed time bomb with her. Andi has very unsatisfying meetings with her brother & uncle and begins to get inklings of her family’s horrifying history. Of course, Andi wants the WHOLE story, and she’s not going to get it with Damian trailing her around so she…..
I’m not telling! You’ll have a grab a copy to find out what happens. 😊
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is the second part of Damian and Andi story in a series which I didn't know when I started reading it. It starts off steamy and hot, then Damian's sister escapes the Realms badly hurt because Damian's family royal home in the Realms is under attack. Andi in this story has to come to terms about her family and her relationship with Damian. Her family brings danger to their relationship since they are Hunters - enemies of Damian and his people. Will her family and Andi's insecurity of believing on a forever loving relationship tear them apart? This was a steamy romance with likable characters and action that kept me turning the pages. FYI this ends with a cliffhanger for the next book in this series. I volunteer to read and review this ARC via Booksprout.
While this book continues the overall story line of the series thus far, it is filled with much more steamy scenes than the previous books. Have a fan ready, you'll need it! As Andi and Damian grow closer, they both must deal with things that end up pulling them apart. Andi discovers family secrets that rock her world, and Damian faces turmoil in the Realms that leaks over into this world with an unexpected arrival. Bits of action are mixed in with all the sexy parts as the reader learns more about both the Realms and its history as well as the Hunters. Ultimately their separate paths once again collide at the very end, leaving the story hanging on a cliffhanger that left me anxious to read the next book.
This is a NON-SPOILER REVIEW. Dragon Fated by Kara Lockharte and Cassie Alexander is the third book in this mesmerizing series. I really like this series. Damian and Andi have amazing chemistry. Kara and Cassie capture that first rush of a new relationship with such heart melting accuracy that you can't help but feel the adrenaline and insecurities that accompany the newness. Andi is experiencing all types of new and some of the experiences aren't good. Damian is having trouble finding his feet with Andi, but that's just the tip of his issues. The plot is quickly gelling and there may be some other nasty surprises coming. A great (Mature Readers Only) read that need to be read in series order.
This honest and voluntary review was made possible by reading a copy through Booksprout.
This is book 3 in Lockharte and Alexander's Prince of the Other Worlds - while this may be able to be a stand alone it's so much better if read in series order so you get a feel of where these characters are in relation to each other and how they have developed thru the series. Our main characters continue to be Andi and Damian - a night nurse and rich, playboy, dragon shifter...this book has so much character development and while some secrets are revealed there are still so many unanswered questions. Ends on a gasp that will have you dangling over the cliff for the next book. Narration was spot on and I love the consistency thru this series which really helps bring all these wonderful characters to life. So excited for book 4!!!
