Walk With an Angel

Rate this book
Eight years ago, Tanner Nelson’s pleasant life crashed headlong into misfortune when his best friend, Brandon Cheney, was murdered. To make matters worse, Katherine Dalton, the woman Tanner hoped to marry, left for a new life in Australia. Since then, his life has been in an emotional holding pattern. Tanner doesn’t realize it, but it’s now time for things to be put in order—with a little heavenly help.

At the same time in the far side of forever, Mitzi is gladly filling her assignment as Tanner’s guardian angel when Brandon, now an angel himself, shows up to help. Do the authorities think she can’t do her job? Mitzi soon realizes that Brandon is there primarily to advance the investigation of his own murder and redeem an innocent man. But Mitzi sees a larger picture—and uses her special skills toward rekindling the love between Tanner and Katherine.

🎧 This book is full of action, suspense, with a touch of romance, and guardian angels who help nudge events along.

The book was suspenseful to a certain point. At one point the killer was revealed, but finding the proof is what made the book suspenseful. There were some twists that made me question if another character was involved in the murder. I loved the perspective of guardian angels and their roles in helping solve a murder and rekindle love.

The reason I give it 3 stars is the over-the-top action that is hokey at times, but appealing to those who like action. There are some romance scenes that were awkward and at times silly where I actually chuckled instead of swooned.

I think this book falls more in the category of young adult fiction.

Contents: (S) No sex. Slight romance. (L) No swearing or degradation of deity. (V) Murder depicted mildly. Fisticuffs.

A book I found among my mom's books she's read. I marked it as LDS because I know she picked it up at her local Deseret Bookstore and the author is LDS. It was a good book and I enjoyed reading it.

Tanner's guardian angel and Brandon Cheney (angel on special assignment) must nudge Tanner Nelson and Katherine Dalton into finding Brandon's body, learn who the real killer is, and finally commit to each other like they should have done eight years earlier. The story had some suspenseful moments which made it exciting.
